PaulHartman71 Posted June 23, 2008 Author Share Posted June 23, 2008 Table Transfers The season wasn't a great one, I don't think we got out of the relegation zone until late November. The team I had formed simply wasn't up to scratch, until after January where my team was pretty good, but unfortunately it was too late for us to forge a play-off challenge. League Cup - We reached the second round where we were beaten 3-0 by Crystal Palace, we wouldn't have got past the 1st round if not for a 6-5 penalty shoot-out victory of Accrington Stanley. FA Cup - We reached the fourth round after victories over : Millwall, Shrewsbury, and Hereford. But eventually went out in a 4-1 loss to Portsmouth. Therefore as a maximum he would have finished 2nd place, no quarter finals therefore 13 points unless paul wants to add any further docking of points. Paul wouldn't it be better to structure point so; 25 points - Win League 1 and reach the Final of the League cup or FA Cup and the Semi Final of the other Domestic Cup. 20 Points - Win League 1, and reach the Semi finals of the League Cup and the FA Cup 19 points - Win League 1 and reach Semi Final of either League Cup or FA Cup* 18 Points - Win League 1 (Without reaching the Semi's of either Cup) 16 Points - Finish Runners Up in the league, and reach the Quarter finals of and the League Cup and the FA Cup 15 points - Finish Runners Up in league and reach Quarter Finals in either the League, or the FA Cup** 13 Points - Finish Runners Up in the league (Without reaching the Quarter Finals of either cup) 10 Points - Promotion through the Play-Offs 5 Points - Reach the Play-Offs but not be Promoted 3 Points - Finish at least 12th 1 Point - Finish the season in League 1 0 Points - Relegation Or something to that effect? Very good season for me at Elland Road: Table The nr. 1 league position was reached for the first time, halfway through the season, after 22 games. Big thanks to our parent club Man City, who agreed to loan out two very gifted young attackers for 3 months and the faboulous young K. Schmeichel the whole season (23 clean-sheets in 45 league games and 3 MoM) Transfers Etuhu made 9 goals, 3 assists and 2 MoM in 13 games and a Av R at 7.69 Evans made 8 goals, 5 assists and 4 MoM in 14 games and a Av R at 7.64 (Also won manager of the year and 5 manager of the month awards) Lost in 2nd round in the League Cup away to Cardiff. Lost in 3rd round replay in the FA Cup away to Middlesbrough (0-0 home and 1-0 away) Lost in the JPT Final to Nottm Forest. The League was extremely close and I clinched Promotion on the last day with a Win over Yeovil here the League Table Became a feeder had a few to pick from I had Man City and got a few good players on loan it was a shame Kasper went else where and because of this our keeper wasn't the best but did an ok job.
