Guest roberto922
Hi peeps Basically I am creating a few superteams for FM 08 and I want to make it as good as I can, this is where you lot come in. Please post your opinions on the following. Please note that this goes by how good they are in FM 08 not real life. South American XI : GK: DL: DR: DC: DC: MR: ML: MC: MC: ST: ST: 7 subs European XI (Don't include British, Include RO Ireland): GK: DL: DR: DC: DC: MR: ML: MC: MC: ST: ST: 7 subs Asian XI (Include Oceania, don't include China): GK: DL: DR: DC: DC: MR: ML: MC: MC: ST: ST: Chinese XI: GK: DL: DR: DC: DC: MR: ML: MC: MC: ST: ST: 7 subs 7 subs British XI: GK: DL: DR: DC: DC: MR: ML: MC: MC: ST: ST: 7 subs European Youth XI (Under 18) GK: DL: DR: DC: DC: MR: ML: MC: MC: ST: ST: 7 subs Rest of World Youth XI: GK: DL: DR: DC: DC: MR: ML: MC: MC: ST: ST: 7 subs Golden Oldies XI (Over 33 years old): GK: DL: DR: DC: DC: MR: ML: MC: MC: ST: ST: 7 subs Lower League XI: GK: DL: DR: DC: DC: MR: ML: MC: MC: ST: ST: 7 subs ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Thanks for your help, obviously I don't expect everyone to do every starting XI but the more the better, once I feel there's enough opinion I will choose the players that have been voted for the most and put them into teams in the editor, I haven't decided which country yet. Once that is done I will post the results here. P.S I haven't put this into editors forum as it's more of a general enquiry than an edit request. Thanks for your time Roberto922

weeeman27bob
British XI: GK: Given ( always plays beastly against me!) DL: Cashely DR: Richards DC: Terry DC: Ferdinand MR: Bentely ML: J cole MC: Gerrard MC: Lampard ST: Owen ST: Rooney 7 subs Carson,Carragher,Keane,Downing,Bale,Giggs!, Ashton
SCIAG
South American XI : GK: Oscar Ustari DL: Marcelo DR: Rafinha DC: Christian Zapata/Zapter, always get those two mixed up DC: Ezequiel Garay MR: Lionel Messi ML: Matias Fernandez (better as a CM but I was struggling) MC: Lucas (Liverpool) MC: Kaka ST: Sergio Aguero ST: Alexandre Pato 7 subs: Mariano Barbosa, Maximilliano (sp?) Oliva, Fernando Gago, Ever Banega, Nicholas Millian, Carlos Elias, Jo I've probably missed out someone legendary- there are about 50 strikers. Augusto Fernandez could be a back up winger? Rafael Sobis? Eduardo Ratinho? Anderas Guaradado? Carlos Vela? Zantini? Kerlon? Renato Augusto? On reflection perhaps I could have squeezed Vela or Sobis in instead of Elias... Given is Irish weeman, he doesn't count. Same for Keane.

It's not about being biased, it's about recognising the best players in the game. And it you think Kyle Lafferty or James McFadden are among the best British players in the game, you're clearly blinkered in your views.

megafan2005
Not to turn this into a thread of hate but seriously we were closer to qualifying for Euro 2008 than you yet harry redknap said that if england had been at euro 2008 you would have won it. Pfft my squad could beat GillsMan and Weeeman's teams and your views that Joe Hart and Shay Given are better than Craig Gordon are clearly flawed
Guest roberto922
As a welshman I'm the closest to unbiased you're gonna get, IMO you'd beat Gills team in 07/08 but in say 2010 his side would beat you, as for Weeemans side, it would thrash you in 2007/8 because it's basically the best from the first season
megafan2005
Im willing to have a modified database to prove it if you wanted say Fabio Capello against Me or if you wanted George Burley (But then we would be beaten probably)

GillsMan
Fine but I suppose all three have bias in it Mine didn't. Fwiw I'll accept that, actually, I should have picked Craig Gordon ahead of Joe Hart. And yes, mine was built for longevity. Megafan's team might beat mine in the first couple of seasons, but mine would pick up more trophies over a longer stretch. Oh and please, don't talk about Euro 2008 qualifying. It's utterly irrelevant in this forum/thread. I laughed as much as any Scotsman at Steve McClown and England's last game, but I really couldn't care less about Scotland and their attempts at qualifying (I barely care about England tbh), so let's keep those discussions to another forum, ok.
