The FM12 CSE Dream XI

This is an idea I toyed with in my mind last year, but it was only really towards the end of the FM11 cycle and the idea was only half-formed so I kind of left it alone. Now I think I've worked everything out, so I wanted to get it underway

The second post below will contain the actually team, and I will make every effort to keep it up to date as long as there is continued interest in the idea.

How it works:

• Players will earn a spot on the Dream XI based on the average rating attained through a single season, with number of games played acting as a tiebreaker (with more played weighted higher than less played)
  
• Anyone can submit a qualifying player from any of the challenges posited in the CSE forum.*
  
• No user can have more than 2 players in the dream XI at any given time - you cannot submit a player if you already have 2 players listed unless you are replacing your own player
  
• Submissions should use the below form in all cases. This is because I will link to the post as opposed to the associated screenshots.
  
• The Dream XI will be set up as a traditional 4-4-2 formation. For this reason, players playing in positions not represented will be considered under the closest analog position (DM counts as MC, for example)
  

* I realise people may want to submit their players from non-challenge games, but I feel that edited databases may cause issues and almost all the CSE challenges are set up to mitigate this. If all goes well, I may extend the restriction to include FMCU players as well.

What constitutes a qualifying player?

A qualifying player is any player who has started a minimum of 20 competetive club matches in a season, or has a combined total of 30 or more appearences including subs. A player may only be submitted for a position they are actually playing in.

I wouldn't worry too much about knocking me off, LLR, I suspect there will be quite a number of very short reigns in the early stages of this thread and thanks for the support - there will probably need to be quite a lot of curation from me, at least during the early stages, so knowing people like the idea will help keep me motivated

I gave you full credit for the idea in the thread, I had been thinking of something along the same lines for some time and thought it would be really useful for FMCU considering the large volume of well-loved players who perform really well for their respective users. Nice to see it's a popular idea as well in here, you can find my version of the thread here.

I would prefer not to get to a point where I have to keep reinstating players after someone wants to withdraw their player in favour of entering someone in a different position, so I'm not going to allow this. As soon as one of your players gets knocked off, though, you already have yourself a ready-made entry to go straight back in
