English Pyramid down to Level 14 with county cups and revamped youth system.

What will this database have at completion?

- All leagues down to level 14 according to the English football pyramid.

- League cups and division cups

- Revamped FA cup including all teams that are allowed to participate with preliminary rounds.

- FA Vase

- Every team has a youth team which participates in an all season youth competition.

- Most if not all teams have the kits that they have in real life as well as found on the internet. However some teams might have the

wrong kit

especially in the lower leagues as it was harder to find accurate information as further down the clubs where on the pyramid.

****INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS****

1. use download link to download the file

2. copy the file from your download folder to your \sports interactive\football manager 2012\editor data\ folder in your

* *MY DOCUMENTS folder.

3. Startup FM2012

4. go to preferences and then to the display-sound tab. Make sure that "use skin cache" is unchecked and that "always reload*skin" is checked.

5. start new game.

6. check the "change" box and click "ok"

7. check the file "english pyramid 2.00.dbc and make sure no other databases are checked! Then click "confirm"

8. Select England in the country list. and click next.

9. set lowest active league to level 14.

10.I would recommend checking the "add key staff" and the "add players to playable teams" if you leave the last one unchecked the lower leagues will have no players stats available in the competition as the players will be mainly greyed * *out.

11. select custom database and make sure you set the database to "players based in nation england" or "players based in UK * * &ireland".

12. click ok

13. click start game, and then click start game again when the pop up box shows up.

NOTE: THIS MIGHT TAKE A WHILE AS ITS A BIG DATABASE. FM2012 MIGHT FREEZE UP FOR A COUPLE OF MINUTES BUT JUST WAIT IT OUT. IT WILL START UP. IT TOOK MY COMPUTER ABOUT 42 MINUTES WHILE THE FM2012 SCREEN WAS UNRESPONSIVE! PATIENCE!

I've made promotion relegation between the levels based upon the football pyramid. Not the one from wiki. I got one that is more detailed and shows you which leagues are feeding into the other leagues.

With the Database as it is right now the teams are staying in the same divisions unless they get promoted relegated of course. Mainly by creating boundaries for the divisions and some other small adjustments.

So far it has been more time consuming to find the information for the teams that are on levels 12-14 then to actually create the teams, kits and cities....its a lot of work but I think it will be worth it in the end...

I can use any help that I can get to pull this off...main reason for starting this is that I want to play as low as possible and most databases are not going further then level 11 or 12....

The research side for the several teams is taking the most time away that I could be using working on this database. The Data I especially need is levels 12-14 below the evostik south and isthmian league as I havent researched that side yet. The Evo stik north is almost completed and I got all the information I need on those leagues. More then likely that part will be finished tonight.

Most leagues have websites with club directories, so is easy to find clubs. If websites don't have colours, some county FA websites have them.

I was debating about going further then 14 as the levels 15-24 are with less divisions then levels 11-14 but I thought that it would probably make the computer very slow..

if the database runs smoothly with all leagues down to level 14, all league cups and county cups and the youth leagues then I might decide to go down further..

I copied and pasted the pyramid in exel...then linked all divisions to the different sheets. I put my all my team information in the sheets so that I can always refer back to them if (Or more then likely when) I run into a conflict or have problems with one or more of the leagues..

Ah right I see what you mean, good thinking I was going to do that when I started my project but decided against it as it took me too long. But I tend to do it on a league by league basis rather than level so is easier for me.

I'll be following this thread closely, and looking forward to seeing what it'll be like at the end

I've been thinking that since when I got the game, I haven't actually managed anyone yet, the only time I've played is test games to make sure everything works.

Yeah, that's what I'm wanting to do on my database. Get a team from the lower leagues to the prem.

Also, good luck in getting attendances of 25, I've had leagues at Level 15 higher than Level 9. I've tried everything and once had it working but that's because I made a league use all-seater stadiums and grounds having 10 as the capacity for all-seater competitions. But there was never any variation in it, was always 10.

And, if you make any "stadium" (should be called a park or a field really when we're going this far down in the pyramid) for Level 11-14 clubs less than 500 capacity, it defaults back to 500. Unless you have any suggestions, we'll be getting attendances of 150+ in the lower leagues.

I've been able to tone down the attendances quite a bit...in level 14 it ranges between 5 and 25....

Might be able to post a pic of it later but am testing right now. So far I use "Fields" "Grounds" "park" or even the street name to name the "stadiums for the really lower league teams..

that did happen to me and was the cause for crashes in the beginning of my database. it always crashed june 23th/24th. Sometimes it would crash in 2012 sometimes 2013 or 2014 but always on june 23th/24th. Yeah, I got 18th june when it crashed, 2 days before season update day always in the first season. Never got past it. Ooh, I didn't think of doing that, but would you be able to add the leagues after that?

That's what I found too, the screenshots I posted in my thread were unique in the fact that the two reserve sides got relegated (div 2), then their two third teams had to get relegated (who were in div 3), but couldn't because they had a fourth team in the league below (which was the bottom level). SI said to me they're looking at it and should be sorted when the next update is out so I'll be doing another test when it's released

Basicly I work my way from the top of the pyramid to the bottom. Some branches will go from level 1 all the way down to I think it is 24. Some of them will stop at for example level 13 or before that. As I try to keep it as realistic as possible the leagues that stop at level 11-12 or 13 wont have teams that relegate, same as in real life.

a few things it will be worth you knowing.

A) beddlington terriers have most likely an underwriter. a rich american has recently become an investor to the club. not so much man city style more of helping with running costs and infrastructer work

B) any club based in jarrow and hebburn are rivals. not sure why but the towns of hebburn and jarrow do hate each other a lot and fights tend to break out over it. so that could help with lower league derbies, them towns hate each other

Just FYI, it appears the Pyramid on that website isn't fully complete - it is lacking the Craven and District League and potentially many others, though I can't be sure. The Wikipedia page about the pyramid is probably more detailed.
