fmfan33
In my demo game, the top three were: Totti Nihat Kahveci (eh?) Bakary Sagna (wtf?) How is this decided? doesn't seem exactly realistic!
DiscoStu94
National managers vote for their top three, maybe they judge it on best average ratings?
CalumF
Sagna is one of the best( if not the best) right backs in the world. Makes sense to me.

TomHAVFC
Sagna is one of the best( if not the best) right backs in the world. Makes sense to me. I think he's good, but not one of the best in the world.
Mr Sandman
Sagna is a top 5 RB. However it is silly he'd be considered for this award
TomHAVFC
Sagna is a top 5 RB. What do you mean? Top 5 team RB or he's in the top 5 RB's in the world?
108
Yeh a tad unrealistic really. No way would Totti ever put in enough consistent performances to win that award.
rsk360
in mine the choices were Ronaldo Juan Kassov and Peter File

noikeee
Looking at the choices I got in my demo, apparently in FM09 the World Footballer of the Year is all about average rating and ignores reputation, while World Player of the Year is all about reputation and ignores average rating. Something's a bit broken here, reputation should be by far the most important thing in both awards, that's just the way it is in real life. I do understand the France Football award should be a little bit more linked to average rating, as it usually seems to reward more the guys that deserve it compared to the FIFA award. But this is too much.
-lewis-16-
can I ask who the hell peter file and juan kassov are? I have never heard of them, they seem a little more unrealistic than Sanga

Ainu
Sagna is one of the best( if not the best) right backs in the world. Makes sense to me. That's hilarious! In all honesty, some of the best RB's in the world are Maicon and Ramos, and none of them would ever come close to winning such an award. It seems fundamentally flawed and I also get the impression it doesn't take the first half of 2008 into account, which it should.
soccerfan415
Arbeloa is better than Sagna This season anyway

I mean this is really unrealistic. Plus crazy I'm just glad the FM engine has the insight to know when things are f'd up, they generated the list of candidates and when it got to Kevin Doyle it simply bolded it and put ??? after his name, as it should rightly have done. crafty bison
I think he's good, but not one of the best in the world. He's excellent, but he wouldn't get on the award shortlist in real life since it's not based on quality it's based on profile.
