jxd
Seems like career suicide to me, but they do often in FM.
Belfast_Boyo
Lol yea, young players that think they're too good to be loaned out do my head in...
lurkingwithintent
Can you imagine a 20 year old telling Sir Alex Ferguson at United that he didn't want to go on loan to their feeder club? Wouldn't happen, I think on FM as your rep goes up the likelyhood of them saying no should go down.
philly_flyer10
Ive had players whove never even made a 1st team app reject a loan move to the CCC. Its always funny when you try and get a player whos with you IRL but he refuses in FM. I bet Adel Taarabt whos at QPR would refuse to join in FM. This needs to be fixed so that players with zero chance of playing accept moves to other teams.
04ambroj
irl there isn't such a thing as a 'feeder club', Its not allowed in england.
afced7
irl there isn't such a thing as a 'feeder club', Its not allowed in england. Officially, no its not allowed. But there's nothing anybody can do if a team takes a large amount of players on loan from another and play a friendly every year, so realistically they do exist. charlo116
i just had an 18yo who i sent on loan for the second half of last season, he did really well and came back saying that he learnt a lot. So then i try to send him back there the following season but he rejects the move.
StevenChap
I keep getting ***** teams as feeders, so my players r like, "Your the manager and all, but I dont respect you enough to go to play football in the middle of nowhere"
The-Perfect-Fm'er!
Of course players would reject in real life too. Managers and players do talk you know.
charlo116
Of course players would reject in real life too. Managers and players do talk you know. But thats just it they don't talk in fm. Instead of a young player just rejecting your suggestion he'd probably say that he didn't want to as he didn't think it was a good idea but then at least you would have the chance to convince him and explain your point of view. JR866Gunner
irl there isn't such a thing as a 'feeder club', Its not allowed in england. So why is it the game?
Yid Army
Because although they don't officially excist, there are plenty of gentleman's agreements that are basiccly feeder clubs, such as a Football League team getting to loan out players, play an annual friendley, and get help setting up community projects and the like. Vangelis21
It totally depends on who the 20 year old is and the two clubs. For example a 20 year old Messi should reject a loand move to a 4th division feeder club
Wonky
But thats just it they don't talk in fm. Instead of a young player just rejecting your suggestion he'd probably say that he didn't want to as he didn't think it was a good idea but then at least you would have the chance to convince him and explain your point of view. I agree. Some more interaction would be good.
drmanley
The rule actually doesn't ban feeder clubs per se but states that clubs must be financially independent to compete in the same competitions (eg the fa cup). As has been stated, there's nothing to stop clubs holding friendlies and preferring to loan their players to certain clubs. The only problem would arise if a fixed fee is paid. If the parent and feeder club were to meet in the fa cup there could be claims of impropiety. The feeder club could lose out financially if they knock out out their parent club who subsequently cancel the arrangement as a result.
Dumax
I find that very annoying, especially when you have players who you want to develop - but they simply aren't good enough for your first team - yet find themselves "too good" to be loaned out. jxd
I agree. Some more interaction would be good. Yes, agreed. There is no reason given when the player rejects the deal; the manager then should be given an option to "strongly suggest" the player to reconsider.
