Not a bad start to the season. After the City defeat, have had 2 wins, 2 draws. The first two games after City were 1-1 at home to Everton, then 0-0 away at Palace.

Have gone on to beat Villa 3-0 away from home and Sunderland 2-0 at home.

Kane has 4 goals. On fire and has signed a new contract after initially throwing a strop. Bentaleb looks class. Have an embarrassment of riches in the CM role. Mason not had a look in, but Dier, Bentaleb, Dembele, Alli and Loftus-Cheek have all featured. I'm struggling to pick my first choice three.

Happy with 3 clean sheets in a row. Long may it continue.

Signed Zach Clough, Dozzell and Daniel Bentley. All prospect from the lower leagues. Clough and Bentley have both gone out on loan and I will try and develop Dozzell before sending him out.

Unbelievable second season with Spurs. I won the PL again (with 5 games remaining), the League Cup, the Community Shield, the European Super Cup and......THE CHAMPIONS CUP. We played Barcelona in the final beating them 5-2, after beating Zenit, Man Utd, and PSG. The quadruple. We lost to Man Utd in the 4th round of the F.A Cup, however.

In terms of performances, Eriksen got Player of the Year, Kane finished 2nd in goalscoring, Alli got Young Player of the Year, and Gabriel Barbosa was just incredible scoring 26 goals all season in 28 starts. If Kane hadn't of got injured, I think he could've finished top goalscorer. Embolo was another particular highlight.

I haven't started pre season yet, but I picked up Tielmans for £17m and Stones for £40m. I'm hoping they'll both improve my side. I've won every trophy available so far, but I think a few more seasons of managing Tottenham would still be enjoyable.

First season done won league by 1 point win the Europa league semi finals of fa cup and 3rd round of league cup Townsend was player of the year and Kane got 30+ goals in all comps absolutely love this squad lots of high potential youngsters!!! Sold vertonghen and lamela for 51m as man Utd had unsettled them and brought in gray from Birmingham and Pato for 5m in January has lots injurys eriksen for 6months broken leg son for 9 months and dier for 5 months.

End of season man city starting to unsettle Bentaleb so he wants out as does rose so like beginning season will get rid and give opportunity to some youngsters will be getting tielemans and embolo in for 2nd season

Clough is class, my back up to Harry and banged them in while HurriKane was injured.

If you sold Lamela, I would seriously look at signing Barbosa. He is a great right winger, scored 18 goals in 24 games. What a shame Eriksen was injured.

I'm loving the way my team has played so far. Finished November and am the Golden State Warriors of the Premier League. Haven't dropped any points :) Didn't cheat also, but did get lucky in some tricky fixtures. Only minor blemish was a draw with Sampdoria in the Europa League, but that's it.

Harry Kane has been unstoppable with 19 goals so far. He scores for fun. Eriksen has been a creative force leading in assists, while Sonny and Lamela have done well with 17 goals between them. Dele Alli is now an England international and has been great as a roaming playmaker. He's been my most consistent player. He may not have the flashy stats, but he's going to break out. Bentaleb and Dembele were playing well and Mason usually plays cup games. Toby and Verts solid while Hugo has been great

Only issues now are Fazio demanding more first team football and a lack of a proven striker behind Kane. Clinton just hasn't been consistent enough.

Not planning to sign a lot of players in January. I'm trying to get either Luis Henrique or Embolo as a 2nd striker while signing a goalkeeping prospect. Given the depth in midfield and defense, I'm not planning on signing anyone until the summer. Trippier and Pritchard are there and Winks, Carter-Vickers, are the players I'm focused on breaking them through

I would recommend Embolo as your second striker backing up Kane. Well done on the great start. I should have my third season finished by tomorrow, so I'll update everyone then.

2017/2018 Season: Third Consecutive Title and Quadruplet

Another season, another title. We finished top goalscorers and least conceded this season, winning with five games to spare. We also won the Euro Super Cup, League Cup again, Community Shield again, and the Club World Championship. We did, however, lose to Juve in the CL semi's and to Utd in the F.A Cup semi's on penalties, after missing two penalties in real time.

Stone was a brilliant signing. Kane finished third top goalscorer. Erksen was Player's Player of the Year in the Prem and Club. Barbosa and Embolo still improving.

But the big news.....he has returned, no other than Gareth Bale. I can't wait for his return. He cost £38m + @10m in 12 months. I may make the odd other signing, potentially selling Kane if I can and getting Dybala.

I think I'll post screenshots after five seasons.

What tactics are you using gotnofans?

Incredibly simple.

4-1-2-3 Wide

G: Loris

FB Support: Walker

FB Support: Rose

BPD Defend: Stones/Dier

BPD Defend: Vertonghen/Alderweireld

HB Defend: Maia/Alonso (sometimes Dier)

BBM Support: Dembele/Tielemans

AP Attack: Eriksen/Alli

IF AT (Right): Lamela/Barbosa

Winger Support: Son Heung-Min/Lavezzi and now Bale so may sell one of the two. May move Song Heung Min to right and sell Lamela.

CF Support: Kane/ Embolo

Zivkovic and Veljkovic sometimes play.

Usually alternate with Standard and Control for mentality, sometimes attacking. Only team instructions are closed down on More and Use Tighter Marking. Everything else is mixed. I never change formation, occasionally add team instructions during game.

How is everyone dealing with other clubs unsettling your players I've been forced into selling lamela vertonghen alderviweld wimmer rose and Bentaleb or you just stand your ground?

Rose was constantly unhappy my first season, but just powered through. With Lamela I believe I mentioned first-team opportunities, that usually works for all of those players. If you've sold Lamela, I highly recommend playing Son and/or buying Barbosa.

ive gone for 1 DM (DIER) 1 BBM (ALLI) & AP (ERIKSEN) I want alli to develop but he will probs rotate with Dembele.

This is how I play too, but I go with Alli as RPM. Bentaleb, Dembele and Loftus-Cheek still do get decent game time for me, but that 3 work really well. Alli is a gem so far

So to conclude my transfers for my third season, I bought not only Gareth Bale but Jose Gaya for £63m. He is really expensive, but he is four star rated and potentially, along with Alex Sandro, the best left back on the game. To afford him, I sold Vertonghen for £9.5m, Danny Rose £5m (so cheap, but Gaya is better), Lamela £15m (Now have Barbosa and Son), and Velijkovic (£5m rising to £8m.) I could really do with another defender and half back, but it looks unlikely. I may sell Onomah for £5m, so I have some money for that.

My best XI now is...

GK Loris

DR Walker

DC Dier

DC Stones

DL Gaya

DMC Maia

MCL Dembele or Tielemans

MCR Eriksen or Alli

AMR Barbosa

AML Bale

STC Kane

8 players 25 or under. Next season if money permits, I'll look for a better central defender and right back.

I've no idea how anyone is getting anything out of Kane. As a CF/s he's got 4 goals at Christmas and an AVR of 6.3x.

Playing 4-1-2-2-1 with an AP and IF making up the attacking 3 Kane just comes too deep and when he does get the ball ( which is rarely , he seems to get a couple of shots a game) he's shooting from 30 yards :/

Link to post

What role are you deploying him in ... support? ... attack? It all makes a difference to how he will position himself.

I assume CF/s means support? So try changing him to attack and see if that makes a difference.

CF/s is complete forward support (what else would you think CF/s is for a striker ?) but giving him an attacking duty just isolates him. His dribbling is bad so any of the support striker roles don't suit him but playing him as a spearhead (ie Poacher , AF , CF/a) sees him him butting up against there backline but If he gets the ball he just blasts it into row z (the shoots from distance PPM is a pain in the ass)

Young Clough has offered up so much more in terms of his link play and movement off the ball.

Link to post

I play Kane as a CF with support selected. Here are his stats for the 3 and a half seasons of playing with me. Played 114 Goals 81 assists 44.

I managed to get rid of that PPM.

What I will say is at times I do think he should get more goals. He certainly gets deep. I play a 4-1-2-3 wide and my AMR/Inside Forward gets a lot of goals.

Link to post

I also had Kane as a CF and he's been really good for me at least. I usually work the ball in box so he doesn't take as many silly shots from distance. He's dominating the scoring charts although he is offside a ton.

Just finished my first season - 3rd in the league, won the FA cup and knocked out in the Semi's of the Euro Cup.

Fairly happy with that as a starting point, especially since my first and second goalkeepers were out injured at the same time for two months!

I turned off transfers for the summer window, but I fear went a little mad in Jan.

Jan Out

Dier - £49m to Man Utd (didn't want to sell, but couldn't turn that much down this early)

Lamela - £35m to Man City (was starting to sulk and had Son to fill his spot anyway)

Trippier - £5m to Norwich

Vorm - £3.5m to Fiorentina

Carroll - £1.5m to Villa

Ward - £825k to Burnley

Jan In

Malcom - £15m

Gabriel Barbosa - £14.5m

Jorge - £11m

Timo Horn - £6.5m

Christian Pavon - £6.5m

Abdelhak Nouri - £6.5m

Kristoffer Ajer - £6m

Bartlomeij Dragowsky - £4m

Che Nunnely - £3m

Willem Tomlinson - £1.1m

Some of the average 2-3* players that I can't sell have been out on loan, such as Fazio and Mason.

The summer window has just started, where I've sold Wimmer to PSG for £12m and brought in Embolo for £15m. I also had the chance to sign John Stones for £30m, but he wanted an outrageous £190k a week, while he accepted my offer of £120k he then ended up going to Man City for similar money :( So I brought in Joe Gomez instead for £14m

I've actively used Velkovic, KWP, CCV and Onomah all of whom have shown enough promise that I think I'll keep around as squad players for the home-grown requirements at least while the youngsters I've been signing grow up a little.

Chadli and Son have been killing it from the ML/MR spots and I'm slowly training up Malcom/Barbosa to fill those roles in the future who will also provide cover for ST.

Current squad:-

GK: Lloris / Horn

DL: Rose / Jorge

DCL: Vertongen / Gomez

DCR: Alderwereild / Velkovic

DR: Walker / KWP

ML: Chadli / Malcom

BWM: Bentaleb / Ajer

MC: Eriksen / Nouri

BWM: Dembele / Alli

MR: Son / Barbosa

ST: Kane / Embolo

I fear I've invested a little too much in youth and am struggling to have anyone to tutor the kids at the moment :(

Tottenham 2018/2019 Season

Another fantastic season, winning five trophies and cementing myself as the most successful English manager. I'll definitely commit to one more season, but then I'm questioning where to go from there. Do I keep going attempting to beat Sir Alex Ferguson's managerial record? Do I attempt to win the quadruplet in another country?

Coric has been fantastic, I know I could have got him cheaper before, but definitely worth what I paid for him

Ah cool, didn't mean to question it just wanted to see how he is second season, I am in Feb. first season and thinking of sending out on loan for rest of season, has improved his stats in training already though so good news. Anyone having any success with KWP?!?! 4* potential on mine, out on loan at Peterborough and killing it! Stats have massively improved already

Imagine this XI:

Loris

Gaya

Bellerin

Stones

Romagnoli (signed for £60m)

Maia/Dier

Eriksen

Pogba

Bale

Barbosa

Kane

Halfway through my season, apart from a 2-1 defeat to Liverpool, we've won every game in the Premier League. We have Bayern in 1st Knockout Round and were knocked out by Man City in the League Cup. Also won the trouble already with the Club World Championship, Euro Super Cup, and Community Shield.

Sorry for the delay! My laptop charger stopped working last night, so had to go and get a new one tonight. Here are the screenshots as requested:

Season 3 going ok, have 3 league defeats by January 1st. Only one other team has less but am drawing lots. Any advice on how to turn a draw into a win?

Tough one, in same sort of predicament. Struggling to get Kane to score and changing him up top doesn't seem to work either. Into March and my top scorers are Son,Lamela,Gabriel with 13..... Only thing I could suggest is change your instructions to more direct etc. but to be honest how I am 2nd in the league in mine is beyond me!!
