I used v2.1 with the v1 set up, using the tempo and OI instructions for the first 3 seasons, I stopped using the OI and tempo tweaks in the Prem and didn't seem to make much of an impact. Finished 6th in the end so made in into to Europe, got some better players coming in now so will try the OI and tweaks this season and report back.

The main thing in the LL is getting some half decent players, you do need some pace at the back, Miral Samardzic will come to most L2 sides and he is premiership quality, scored 12 goals last season in the Prem for me and is my vice captain, Craig Cathcart on loan from Man Utd too is good as is Miki Roque from Liverpool.

AMC's Emil Salomonsson, Shoes Moshoeu, Jody Morris (use him as the creative on in the middle of the three), Tomasz Cywka(Loan from Wigan).

SC Jason Kennedy is all you need to know.

Hi all.

First of, great tactic. Brought me awesome success winning the League Cup, Uefa Cup and FA cup in two seasons with West Ham, and the EPL + FA Cup with Man United.

However, for some reason, especialy in the close of my fourth season, I started noticing that it became near impossible to win away from home. I started using v2.1 with v1 set up for away games. No matter how closely I follow the team talk thing as well, it just messes up.

Please help and advise!

I usually rotate the attacking players or just sub the player missing by a mile.

Ive tried the team talk stuff. word for word. It still isnt working you go two nil down in the first half everytime. As a home tactic this is spot on. But might need to find a good away tactic.

Maybe its something to do with training as i just use the original default one. Still finished 4th with Villa in my first season. Struggling in the 2nd, but its the away games.

Just beat Milan away 4-3 with a side of 22year olds.

I always use Ass Man for team talks never caused a problem and came back from 4-2 down to win 5-4 recently.

The game tends to give you a tough time 2nd season just ride it out.

This tactic works very well am using it with my spurs side and for the first half of the first season i had mixed results, away form wasnt great but came back to finish third in my first season currently in first in my second season going in to feb and have a very good side perfectly suited to the tactic. For anyone playing with spurs using this tactic the key is to improve your defence. I signed yobo to play dc and veloso to play dmc and my team is much better for it.

I've been usig this with QPR in my 4th season. So my team is pretty rebuild.

After trying my own tactics for the first 3 seasons i've tried this one. It's insane!

First season was ok, got promoted.

Second season was fine, ended up 6th and won league cup.

Then 3rd season my tactic didn't work well anymore (they figured it out after 2 seasons in the same league i guess). Ended 13th with a better squad. Won the League cup again though.

With a struggling start in the 4th season i decided to try some tactics from this forum as my inspirations were running empty.

KimZ is amazing for my side allthough some tweaks made it even better.

Most of it is probably already mentioned somewhere in this huge thread, but just my 2 cents ...

I'm using V2.1 with V1 layout mainly, sometimes switch to V2.1 if it doesn't

I've changed the mixed passing one notch up, making my attacks just a little more lethal without creating more risks in defense.

Also i've changed width default to mixed (10). Make it a little more solid in defense.

I change width during the match to more narrow when i'm 2 goals up or so, or struggling defensively.

Also play around with time wasting depending on play and scoreline. Also when i need a goal i up the tempo a little to mixed (10).

Because i have fairly slow defenders i tend to use a deeper DL. Depending on pace of opponent. Also change mentality accordingly to keep it compact.

Last, but not least. I've found an even more efficient corner setup making my CD score about 30+ goals a season. It's this one:

Best header: Challende GK

Second Best header: Attack Far Post

Third best header (i use my ST): attack near post

1x Short option

3x Stay back

2x attack from deep

1x Lurk outside area

Also i'm not using OI, which seem to work better for my side. But i have high Teamwork and Workrate attributes in my team / midfield / defense.

My defense is also a lot better using Man mark and tight marking. But my defenders (CD) all have 16+ marking/concentration.

Since i've been using this tactic i have only lost one match - Roma away - in the UEFA Cup.

Besides that played 3-3 2 times and the won the rest, 11 games conmfortable.

Most notable are:

6 - 1 (H) - Man Utd

7 - 1 (A) - Sporting

8 - 0 (H) - Man City

6 - 1 (H) - Arsenal

The rest are mostly around 3 - 0 / 4 - 1.

there is nothing can do .........use v2.1 with v1 layout if you want all of your players get a good stat.

IMO, the best tactic set for FM 08 so far...

i've been caught up in using & tweaking 'realistic' tactics, never did notice that FM (just like CM, where strange tactics worked really well) is only a game.

...and i never tried to utilize OI to full extent (due to inherent laziness) up until now.

Im cardiff in 2009/2010 season with a good squad but I have underperformed for the last 2 seasons and the start of this season. I used SOOOOOOOOO many tactics and none worked and so far yours is very very helpfull for me.
