  1. Only one save - journeyman in Scandinavia - in which I won very domestic trophy in the 5 playable nations. I didn't win a European trophy but came close. I'm satisfied.
  2. Yes because I collect every box since the first modern era FM. Although recent FMs are more DLCs than exactly new games... If there was no emotional attachment to this series, no chance in hell I would buy this every year. It's been basically the same game with 2-3 changes once every 4 years.
  3. I don't because I collect the boxes from each year, my example was more of a warning some people may start doing that as every new game doesn't bring many new changes. Between FM19 and 23 if you take away Dynamics and Tactics everything else is the same. Someone making that direct transitions would have zero problems adapting.
  4. People complain about FIFA on Switch just being a yearly squad update but FM is going the same way. If I wanted to I could play FM20 or 21 and have the data updates from fansites and the game would be 99% similar to what we'll get.
  5. I still get the box solely for collecting purposes. It's more expensive and I have to wait longer to get but I don't want to stop the streak now.
  6. There's no hard rule, however at least one Attack duty is recommended if you play a 3-man midfield. I can perfectly imagine a midfield without Defend duties, e.g. DM/S + CM/A + MEZ/A for a Gegenpress style tactic.
  7. My squad normally has between 22 and 24 players. 11 regular starters + 11 second options + 2 cover players for injuries or rotation. With tight budgets I may reduce the squad to around 20 players and use youngsters as fringe players. For big clubs that play many games I may stretch up to 25 players but more than that I always have players that end the season with very few minutes played, and in that case I rather have a youngster have those minutes to show his value.
  8. Another classic thread. There are some young gems in Poland that's for sure
  9. Escaping relegation from a 11 point deficit is almost a bigger task than winning the league with Koln!
  10. If your team is better than everyone else you can have one tactic that'll win every match. If you're a weaker team then probably one setup won't have the same results against stronger and weaker teams, but that's up to you. I use the same tactic for every match regardless of where I'm managing, and I have a second tactic which is the same tactic but with time wasting instructions for the last 10 minutes.
  11. old fashioned direct style like this https://community.sigames.com/forums/topic/564042-revisiting-old-threads/
  12. FC Midtjylland - Superliga - 2042/43 League table - as dominant as we can possibly be, entering the Championship Group with a massive 16 point gap and retaining the title with four matches left. DBU Pokalen - a perfect winning record to also retain the Cup. Champions League - Arsenal disappointed in the group stage finishing last; we capitalized on Bayern having a player sent off early to take charge of the second leg. Squad - the starting XI is as good as we can get with the Scandinavian approach to recruitment, and some youth players are knocking on the door to the first team. Best XI - Sigurðarson; Villadsen, Baltzer, Vordal, Njoku; Larsen, Ottosen, Hansen, Marquardsen; Hedén, Rutter Transfers - two excellent players left for their low release clauses, and later on the season I decided to accept a great €3m offer for our backup RB with 6 months left on his contract. Finances - lots to spend, curiously or not the best Scandinavian players we can attract can require over €30m so this figure is misleading in what we can expect to do in the market. There's not much we can improve next season and I'm unsure I can keep a squad with the same quality as some players want to leave. The next season, the last of my current contract, can be the end of an era for a handful of our important players.
  13. NxGn 2043: #2 Paul Rutter #32 Magnus Bergström #41 Christian Njoku
  14. If you save more than one routine the game does cycle, mine does at least.
  15. already proven above that's not true. the CF role is quite demanding from the player, he must be good at everything so it's natural to see youth players still not meeting all the requirements. you can still play them there though and they'll do many things well according to their attributes, but the role requires a bit of everything so they'll get some things right and others not
