  1. I haven't actually had much experience using them, but I see them recommended elsewhere by people who know much more about the game than me, so I know they are a very good starting point. I'm about to start a new save using my own tactic which is a 4-2-3-1 but it's almost the same as the gegenpress preset in terms of TI's and the same mentality. I aim for this type of football because it's what I like to see irl, one of my favourite teams to watch was Klopp's Dortmund. I will use it for most games but will also be loading up the fluid counter 4-2-3-1 preset with slight tweaks to roles for tough away games where I'm the clear underdog. Someone described it as a nice combination of fast counters and quick probing passing, which kind of sounds like a low block gegenpress variant so I reckon I will enjoy using it. Good to see people in here using it also. For future use, I would also consider the vertical tiki taka preset because it's also a style I like. Actually my current tactic may end up as a mix between gegenpress and vertical tiki taka if I add the additional TI I'm considering adding.
  2. As someone who isn't great at tactics, the presets make the most sense for me. Nice to to see a new thread dedicated to them 👍🏻
  3. Fair enough 👍🏻I guess it's the minority that use these updates, most people don't bother with them like yourself. FWIW I hope you choose Inter for your next save 🔵⚫
  4. There are mods that let you start at the end of season 1, so basically starting in season 23/24.
  5. Are you starting in 2022 or have you used an updated database to start in 2023?
  6. 👍🏻That's who I'm going. I said this months ago, haha but things got in the way. Grimaldo has joined Leverkusen irl but I will be keeping him in my save.
  7. How much would you say you have spent on systems for FM in total? 😅
  8. @Welshace How many years are you usually playing into the future in your saves? I'm wondering when roughly this imbalance starts?
  9. Thanks. Isn't 5600mhz C36 decent? There's an option for 6200mhz C36 on the second one, it's £37 more. I'm more concerned at how fast the CPU is for FM, and going by the benchmark results on here, the 7900x is faster than the 7800X3D for FM.
  10. @kevhamster @Gangor Do you think this is a good deal? https://www.ebuyer.com/1597166-alphasync-sapphire-amd-ryzen-5-7600x-nvidia-geforce-rtx-4070ti-gaming-pc-as-d6772?_sgm_campaign=scn_8715392e6c000&_sgm_source=1597166&_sgm_action=click Or this for £300+ more: https://www.awd-it.co.uk/awd-it-hyte-y60-ryzen-5-7600x-six-core-rtx-4070-ti-12gb-windows-11-pc-gaming-pc.html?config=14937-174858,14946-175008,14949-175062,14952-175065,14955-175119,14958-175125,14964-175179,14967-175197,14973-345481,14979-175233,14982-175245,17625-197846,23400-252467,23599-306170,24481-267086,27747-309312,31198-345469,31306-346480 I'm looking at AMD now so I can upgrade the CPU in a year or two for a boost in speed. Buying Intel 13th gen now would require a new motherboard in the future if I wanted to upgrade the CPU.
  11. Thanks. I've never been that far into a save either tbh, but I would imagine it's after 10+ years? I have a i9 9900k but was thinking of upgrading. It's still decent I suppose, but tech moves pretty fast nowadays, the latest cpu's are quite a bit better than mine now. I usually run around 40-50 leagues, but I guess I could reduce it to 20-30 and just load more players instead, as obviously it's the playable leagues that slow things down.
  12. What CPU do you have? Also, how do you find the transfer market in your save? I remember reading a few years ago that if you loaded a small amount of playable leagues but lots of players, it would flood the market and have a negative affect.
  13. What leagues are you all loading? Advanced database for South America?
  14. I'd be very interested to see the results. The 7800X3D is supposed to be the best value CPU out atm, but I don't think that will translate to FM due to the benchmark results of the 7950X3D on here. There's a system I'm looking at that has a 7600X and it would be interesting to see if that beats an i5 13600k, which was a system I was also looking at that went out of stock. Both are paired with a RTX 4070 Ti for just over £2000 which I think is a good deal.
  15. Isn't there a downside to loading less leagues but loading so many players through the advanced database? A few years ago, I read that it has a negative effect on the transfer market because it floods the game with too many players, is this true?
  16. I actually have a PS5 😂 You might think why do I want a PC that plays Fifa in 4K. It's because the PC version has great mods for career mode, and even the gameplay has mods. Fifa career mode isn't the most realistic, but the mods make it a bit more realistic, plus you have all the graphics mods like real player faces, kits etc. I'm now looking at systems that are £2000, it's still quite a lot tbf but I will probably pay it over 12 months so I won't notice it as much.
  17. I asked what FPS the 3070 can run it at, and the person replied saying 70-80 fps and that it runs smooth. Yeah I've researched this company and they get really good reviews, they have 4.7 out of 5 stars on trust pilot. I can still go for a custom build, but with a fast track service like they provide, or yeah a next day pre built. The reason I want it rather quickly is because I've been putting off a save for so long now and just want to get started asap before the football season actually finishes! I don't want to wait a couple of weeks to receive it. Yeah I had a £4000+ system from Cyberpower and had the same specs on UK partpicker, and the difference was just over £300. I will just do that again but obviously for cheaper systems this time. Btw I tend not to run my FM saves on full detail, I prefer running more leagues, but just default detail, so single thread is more important to me, which as we know, usually points to intel.
  18. Yeah, I just can't be bothered building it again, I just want to receive something and start using it straight away. So what would your recommendation be? It seems Fifa 23 is pretty easy to run on PC. People saying a RTX 3070 can run it at 4K Ultra. Obviously I want a powerful CPU for FM though too. I'll be honest in saying the systems I was looking at were £4000+, I'm happy to cut that in half though now, after you made some good points. After thinking about it, it makes more sense to buy twice at £2000 than buy twice or even once at £4000 imo. The current site I'm looking at is Cyberpower UK. I have checked a few others but these look one of the best. They do cost more than PCSpecialist but they are more flexible atm in terms of delivery options.
  19. It was 4 years ago I built my PC, I went for a i9 9900k and GTX 1660. The GTX 1660 was because I didn't play any other game on PC, but I thought it would last a while for FM, which it has and tbh probably could still last another few years, but because I now want to play something else on PC I'm looking for something that can run it at 4K. I guess I could go for something like an i5 13600k and a 4070 Ti, that would be more middle ground than the i9 13900k and RTX 4090 I suppose. I usually go for the top end tbh, I don't really know why, probably more exciting at first, lol. @kevhamster With his recommendation is also a good one, but unfortunately PCSpecialist are taking longer to deliver atm so I would be looking for a next day PC or at least a fast track service, which they usually provide, but apparently they are really busy atm. AMD would probably make more sense like @Abaddon879 and @Brother Ben suggested, because of the upgrade path. I could easily upgrade in 2 years time to a similar mid spec machine and be near the top of the benchmarks 👍🏻 I'm not a newbie tbf when it comes to PC hardware, as I said I built my last PC but tbh I didn't enjoy it. I know most people seem to enjoy it, and advise building it yourself, but I can't be bothered this time, as I'm bad at cable management 😂
  20. At least we have places like sortitoutsi who will cover the missing data, over the next few days I'm sure.
