I definitely want to sign Scott. I would recommend Matheus França too, a very similar player to Scott and has the same potential range.

@warlock I ran a test save with my tactic and I was on 47 points after 18 games 🤣 I stopped at that point. I had a GD of 41 though, 3 less than you, but still crazily similar. Do you use attribute masking btw or do you not bother with it? I was wondering how you found Hezze so quickly in the summer window. I'm definitely starting this ASAP, been in my plans for the past 2 weeks now. From reading various reviews from FM players on Leonardo, he's actually now my preferred choice over Vitor Roque. Lol you somehow got to a possession based game from gegenpress? 😂 On second thoughts, I suppose you can still retain some aspects, like the aggressive press, but then dial down the rest, so I can see how you got to it tbh. Most possession tactics tend to have aggressive pressing in fairness.

I have severe OCD, I've had it since around 8 years old but it has got way more severe the past 10 years or so. Unfortunately my OCD isn't focused on one thing, it affects me in many ways. Does it affect my FM experience? Massively. This time of year is an absolute nightmare for me, because there is so many transfers happening each day irl, I feel like I can't start a save with the 22/23 squads, even though I want to, as the game feels 'out if date'. I could download an unofficial update but it's not ideal either, they have certain quirks to them. Also what's the point when the game will be out of date tomorrow if I started today. It also convinces me I'm cheating if I use certain TI's. I can't look at other people's tactics because in case my tactic is similar, it convinces me I'm copying people so therefore can't use that tactic. I'm planning on starting a Benfica save either tonight or tomorrow. I wanted to sign Vitor Roque, he was my number 1 target but because he has joined Barcelona irl I feel like I can't sign him now. I was supposed to start this save a few months ago and then planned to again last Friday, so it remains to be seen if I will manage it over this weekend. I already told this to @warlock and @sedge11 also knows of my struggles.

He has 11 for anticipation, composure, decisions, OTB and positioning. He's not great.

Yeah the DM version now is more effective because of the changes they made to the pivots. You get a defensively solid midfield but they also step up in possession to support the 4 advanced players. Cleon actually said it's the biggest ME change ever in his opinion.

Interesting, I usually disable the first window, but it seems you can get better deals rather than waiting. I would imagine Scott wouldn't be as cheap if left to develop for a full season or even half a season. I suppose disabling the first window probably doesn't make as much sense at this time of the year. I really like those signings, especially Scott. I will probably go for him myself. My tactic also has a either a DM/BWM and a Volante beside him, in a 4-2-3-1 😁

I actually have OCD and I feel like everything needs to be up to date, when most people probably don't care. I guess if I start in season 22/23 as normal, it creates an alternate reality, where obviously none of this has happened yet. I also want to keep Alex Grimaldo, Diego Moreira and Cher Ndour, who all have left irl on free transfers to other clubs. I think I'll just go for it, even though it will feel weird to me at first. Afterall it's still FM23, not 24.

Who did you pick in the end?

Villarreal or Roma for me. If I had to pick between them, then Villarreal imo.

@Verby How has Grimaldo been for you? I'm planning on starting a new Benfica save but not sure about starting in season 22/23 or starting in 23/24 with the sortitoutsi update. He has joined Leverkusen irl on a free transfer so if I started with an update he would be gone.
