  1. @Marc Vaughanmust be feeling terrible now.. there was a thread on the future of FM Touch/Classic where I wrote: "I played the full FM version, even FM21 as I just got a new laptop. But I kept being frustrated by the sluginess (so many continue clicks before something really interesting (match, important inbox message etc) happens, even with the less interruptions checked in preferences) and mostly overwhelmed by information overload and the white noise much not needed information created. Needing to do 4 or 5 clicks just to be able to assemble a full picture of a player abilities, character, contract status etc. was getting too much. So, I tried FM Touch aka Classic. I tried it a few years ago but found it too dumbed down (no mentoring, not enough "steering" of player performances/development etc). Last month I tried it again. With Airbus UK (I work in aviation industry so there goes). And finding back that sparkle of fun I had when playing CM01/02. The smoothness, not being bogged down by (pointless?) interactions and news items. I still miss some things, like praising/berating players on their training performance, having team meetings or warning players you're going to strip them of their captaincy. You know, small little things that interact with their motivation and play level. Having these possibilities and add importing transfer updates/corrections ('cause let's face it, it's near impossible to have a correct transfer update anyway and for 1 player UK leagues are of paramount importance, for another player it might be Belgian or some other obscure league ) would make the game perfect for this individual user In its current state it is however already a much more relaxing and enjoyable experience than the full FM version for me." There also some comments made here that don't sit well with me: - While the PC FM21 Touch/Classic uses the same default DB as full-fat FM21, no data updates are possible. You have an editor that can read this DB and surely would be able to write to it if seperate editor files isn't an option. Or does the statement "The most realistic football management game" only count for full-fat FM? - Giving FM Touch/Classic for free for years while buying full-fat FM and initially making big announcements about it, but making the box mentioning it smaller each year upto no announcement (past year or well hidden) to announce it now AFTER pre-orders opens, is just bad form. Especially given the period we've all been through. People should be allowed to cancel their purchase if they expected to have Touch/Classic included. (fyi i did not pre-order) - Being ignorant about what people are trying to say when it comes to the speed/fluidness of the game. Sure delegating responsibilities helps to speed up the full game a bit, but there are still way to many pauses during processing (and I hate seeing all that non-sensical social media stuff, it doesn't help with immersion but that's personal) and using auto continue leads to missing important decisions/information sometimes. When I played FM Touch i didn't use instant result and had like 8 countries/10 leagues loaded and it was still faster than having only the English leagues on full fat using instant result! Edit: I could go on, but I need to attend my kids now and walk the dog. .

  3. Summary: Team meeting not available although Assistant Manager advises it Description of Issue: When struggling with relegation, racing to be champions or playing a cup final, Assistant Manager advises to hold team meeting but there is no button or other possibility to hold team meeting Steps to Reproduce: Get into relegation or champions battle or reach cup final Files Uploaded to the OwnCloud: No team meeting Bug (just continue to get the inbox message before cup final)
  4. @Geoff Newmanhow do you do the latter? While not perfect (as the order of attributes would change everytime) it might be something worth trying out. Thanks again for taking the time to help out!
  5. @Geoff Newman thanks! it is better but I feel the values should be "greyed out/transpartent" too to get a real benefit... I'm afraid that the value colors depend on the value (logic) but if there was a way to make their colour depend on the combination of value & color attribute, that would be the solution I guess?
  6. @Geoff Newman Currently using the Flut Dark Skin in FM Touch but something based off the base skin is good enough for me too. Good to know it's possible, that's a positive I don't mind fiddling myself but I have no idea where to start (what file , how the overall structure looks like, what parameters to adjust etc). So if you can f.e. just direct me to where I could make the adjustments and what adjustments to make for getting the first example up and running, that would be nice. Whether based on Flut (which is prolly more complex because all information is included in the player "profile" view) or on the standard skin.
  7. I have no idea if this is possible to do. One of my biggest personal problems I have with FM is information overload (I'm getting old, I know). And while you can highlight the most important attributes and secondary attributes, the difference is not strong enough for me and I'm still scanning over the other less important attributes, causing white noise. What I would like to be possible is when I select a role, the most important attributes are highlighted and the secondary too (but less strong too make them distinct) like it is done now but to have all other attributes put in "transparent" mode so you don't see them. That is the baseline. In the example below I blackened them out but transparent would be better I suppose: Further improvements would be to have a button on the player's page to activate or deactivate this setting in case you want to do a deeper analysis. (alternative : have transparent unimportant attributes on the landing page - overview, but not on the other pages) Ideal situation would then be to have the attributes still shown ordered so they appear next to each other so there is less strain to the eyes.
  8. But a lot of very exciting youngster and prospects down the line. So while Football hasn't come home this year, I wouldn't be surprised England wins a major trophy within the next 5 to 10 years. I guess Football just wanted to make a final summer visit to Italy...
  9. Donnaruma did make many good saves this tournament, including against the Belgians. Who can now say they lost against the European Champion so their tournament wasnt that bad at all... as if...
  10. KDB walking quite normally, it seems to be okay, let's hope so... Eden will not be back against Italy I'm sure...
  11. Lukaku didn't pass to Carrasco twice now. Vermaelen was really good in defense, Vertonghen was the most insecure.
  12. Without De Bruyne , Tielemans has lost confidence. 2nd game in a row Brych for us and again terrible performance. Wasn't he sent away last world Cup orso for being an awful referee?
  13. Belgian soccer player Anthony Van Loo had a cardiac arrest in 2008 orso, had a defibrillator fit and played another 10 years, having a cardiac twice (2009 & 2018), in both cases saved by the heart starter device. After the last one, he had to undergo another operation and then decided to stop while still playing at the highest level in Belgium.
  14. Nice thread (only discovered it this week, had some reading/catching up to!) In retrospect, people will probably say you had your best years between 2044 & 2047 right?
  15. I quickly did a Benchmark A on balanced mode : 1 min 50 sec. So hardly any difference, fans hardly working so I guess that is the best way forward playing FM. When only browsing, writing & reading stuff put it on silent mode (and it really is completely silent) and when playing stuff like Cyberpunk and what not, put it balanced or if you lack a bit of fps, put it on performance mode. Another tip I read somewhere which might be interesting if you use the laptop with battery a lot: FN+R combo switches screen between 60 Hz and 165 Hz. I also ran Timespy now on balanced mode and got a score of 9817 combined. GPU dropped from 10894 to 9952 and CPU dropped from 9265 to 9119. So another prove that the difference between balanced and performance mode isn't big for CPU heavy games like FM. Temps on balanced mode were max 87°C for CPU and 69°C for GPU. All quite reasonable I think. With a laptop stand people mentioned another 4°C drop.
  16. When is it due? I might try to do another Benchmark A test with the laptop in balanced mode, just to check how big the performance drop is. Will try to find an way to get CPU temps too. In all honesty, I absolutely love this piece of machine. Until now I haven't found anything negative to say about it. Hope it stays that way
  17. Some say that gap is closing and they might be right but I think it will take another 5 years to close it completely if ever.
  18. I paid 1699 € for it which I find a very reasonable price. Alu body and slick design, great keyboard, amazing specs (GPU runs at max W allowed), jaw-dropping screen (like really doubting to hook it up to my external monitor as initially planned), upgradeability (RAM can go to 32Gb in the future, 2nd M.2 slot for SSD). It's by far imho the best price/quality product you can find nowadays... if you can find it (usually sold out in a few hours) It does show a drop in performance comparison with the bigger benchmarks it seems, I guess the CPU/machine isn't optimized for extended loads. Or it's just random. I wonder if a cooling pad would help to squeeze out extra performance, but I reckon not. I hope it will last me a good few years!
  19. They were conducted in performance mode. By comparison, I started Benchmark A first in quiet mode and it took longer than my old desktop I didn't check CPU thermals sorry. GPU was below 50°C after each benchmark, but then again this benchmark is CPU heavy. I can say that running 3D Mark Timespy gave max 93°C for CPU and 75°C for the GPU for a combined score of 10614 btw.
  20. @Brother Ben I've replaced my desktop with a new laptop, think some might be interested in seeing how the new Legion 5 Pro with RTX 3070 holds up Type: Laptop Model: Legion 5 Pro CPU Model: Ryzen 7 - 5800H CPU Base Frequency: 3,2GHz CPU Turbo Frequency: 4.4 GHz RAM: 16GB RAM Clockspeed: 3200 Mhz GPU: 140W RTX 3070 with 8Gb RAM Graphics Level in 3D: Very High Storage Type: 1TB M.2 SSD Benchmark A : 1 min 49 sec Benchmark B : 8 min 15 sec Benchmark C : 10 min 54 sec Benchmark D : 22 min 11 sec
