  1. Full HD is 1080, not 4k. Not everyone can afford a fancy new phone. Lots of people play FM on old laptops so they have to cater to that audience.
  2. Some things I'd like to see more of (but that will never ever happen): Make repetitive tasks more enjoyable. EG praising players for training in one big batch, not each one separately. Improve the User Interface EG. the big wide column on the far right that cant be shrunk, the scouting lists, the way its tricky to select training blocks, etc. This is actually a part of the gameplay, not just a technical issue. Look at how easy the big websites make it to navigate their interface, it's smooth and intuitive and is enjoyable. Improve the speed to Advance to Next Day It feels like someone needs to go through the game and do a common sense check and report issues that annoy or could be better implemented. Map the experience of playing the game, and note the repetitive stuff and how it could be improved. Theres too much tedium and it feels like Job that doesn’t pay you any money Simulator ’23 too often, rather than you know, a game that's fun to play. Just understand in a fundamental way what it is that makes people enjoy taking part as fans of football culture. The narratives, the characters, the players personalities, the opinions, the fantasies of what fans dream of, etc. The story-telling aspect of the game is really weak, yet this is a massive part of what fans enjoy about football (that’s why the football pages of newspapers and websites and social media are so incredibly popular.) EG why not have some cut scenes, at dramatic moments of the season? EG You're inside the dressing room before the crunch game, players are banging on lockers to get hyped up, etc EG Make players personalities come out more, by allowing them to demonstrate their character, say dumb things in the press, get injured driving a sports car, create some incidents, do something in character, interact with you much more, make the game more creative and story-like and entertaining, not just an accountants version of football which is what it currently feels like. The only time I seem to have any meaningful interaction with a player is when I'm negotiating their contract or game-time. When you see footage of real managers with their players on a training ground, there’s so much interaction going on, their personalities and behaviours come out. So I'd say allow players to show more personality, in order to nurture more of a connection with the user playing the game.
  3. Nope. There really should be though. Will it be in FM23? Doubt it.
  4. Their energy is practically red. In this state they are much more prone to injuries.
  5. Well I found if your player has less than 12 stamina then you can get to about 60 minutes before needing to sub. With 12 stamina you can get to about 75 minutes.
  6. Does your FM team play in the premier league? Or in Liga? Is gegenpressing just as effective in la liga? Ive never played there myself
  7. High intensity pressing is the dominant tactic in real life football, so why wouldn't it be in fm too?
  8. Do you have the short list filter on when you player search? IE youre only searching players on your short list?
  9. When a player retires, I want a 'Build Shrine' button at the bottom of the news article.
  10. They do something like that already, I think its under Loan reports. They advise if the player is getting enough games amongst many other things. I was thinking more about what the roles entail. They are not defined. Are Loan Managers good at finding loans for young players? I dont know. We get role definitions for players, but we don't get them for staff.
  11. One thing to add: Improving training facilities I think encourages better players and coaches to come to your club, people who would automatically reject a club for not having a level of facilities acceptable to them. Players want to fulfil their potential so if a club has training facilities which are too low, then the player wont come because their development will be hindered. So saving up money with your club for a few seasons, in order to then be able to make a huge leap forward with big improvements to your training facilities, which in turn leads to attracting much better young players and coaches, who can then help your team be more successful, and who can then can later be sold for bigger profits, to help fund further improvements... This strategy could lead to your club developing and becoming big. So the multiple step leap improvements could play a part in this to help speed up a clubs development.
  12. I still dont know if it should be the loan manager who seeks out loans for young players or head of youth dev? Is the loan manager just someone who manages young players once theyve been placed? Or someone who finds them in the first place? Like a lot of things, the game doesnt explain this and leaves you to guess with an uninformed opinion.
  13. You have to read the FM Byline for tips on how to interpret results. But some of the stuff they say I would never in a million years have thought of. Thats why I think in-game there should be help with this. These tips should be built into the game and part of the gameplay. EG the better assistant manager / head of data analysis you have, the better the tips and interpretation of what the data means. They can make suggestions and point you on the right path of what your team is doing wrong. If you look at Chess.com, the tips they give are very good and enhances the experience. A similar 'advice engine' could be really good for FM.
  14. The game is rammed full of 'little things that cause great anger'. And they never seem to get fixed.
  15. I think if you schedule a practise match in your training blocks, that can help improve attributes. Also check their training scores and criticise the ones performing below 7-ish.
  16. Some bigger clubs buy players to weaken the club theyre buying from, and make them less of a threat to replacing their club Then they just sell them on later to get their money back
  17. Wintry pitches would add character, with snow piled up on the sides
  18. Something to do with pressure. If your players have a low rating for handling pressure, they will be affected more. Work out which ones they are and play them less in the final games. Give shouts during games to ease the pressure too.
  19. Can also happen due to injuries, you should always set their training to rehab to help improve this. When you see an inbox message 'Player A has completed his rehabilitation phase and is now....etc' thats when you set his training to rehab. Its a bit confusing because the message says hes finished his rehabilitation phase, but thats the point when the rehab training option becomes available.
  20. - Depends on what region of the country your club is in. London region clubs have an advantage because its so populated. - I would say prioritise junior coaching and youth rating and youth training facilities, plus a great Head of Youth Dev (with great personality). Once these are good enough it can take a few years for the benefits to really be seen because these improvements have an effect on players when they are 11/12/13 years old, and so they develop better at that age, so by the time they come into the game years later at age 16 they are looking very good. The improvements will have less effect on players who are already say 14 years old at the time you make the improvements, because they didn't benefit from these improvements when they were much younger. Plus the adaptability rating of your Head of Youth Dev will affect how long he takes to work at maximum power after arriving, can take a year.
  21. Seconded! Especially clubs in lower leagues. If I'm promoted, I want to be able to quietly offer my player to clubs in the lower division to see what the interest is like. If there are no good offers, I will keep the player for the new season, keeping him happy without him realising.
  22. And if they wont build a new stadium give us the back up option of a new stand to at least partially increase capacity.
  23. You made a promise, he signed a contract on that promise, and now youve broken it. He will become unhappy. Then if you threaten to loan or sell him, he'll probably back down.
  24. - Any time a great youth coach becomes available, sign him and fire your old one (good youth coaches are rare and hard to find). - Get a great head of youth dev with a good personality (it influences the personalities of players coming through) - Always ask board to improve your youth rating, junior coaching and youth training facilties - look at relegated teams for good youth coaches and good youth prospects, the chances of them coming to you are now higher due to relegation - develop players from your youth team by loaning them out from age 18, then later incorporating them into first team, then later selling them when they are valuable - With this money you can buy better youth prospects, get the best you can find. - You need good scouts who can do this and help you find great youth prospects - Look at the NxGn article that comes out once per year to help find good youth prospects - Remember you can retrain youth prospects into new positions. Dont reject a youth player because he doesnt fit your system. EG a left footed left Winger can be retrained to play Right wing Inverted Winger to maximum ability, if that is what your system requires. But some changes of position are too extreme/difficult for a player and his ability in the new position will have a lower ceiling of ability, e.g. 90%, than his strongest position (100%).
  25. The players see how you treated that player, and then they wanted the same for themselves through talking amongst eachother. You need to nip this sort of thing in the bud quickly before it spreads. Talk to the the unhappy player quickly before it spreads too much. You can talk to the player through Criticise Conduct to do this.
