  1. If players ratings are only average, not amazing. If I Encourage, they all get mad.
  2. WWY has little effect on the development of players under 18? Whats the point of it then?
  3. In the old system, a low determination player could be mentored by a senior pro, one to one. His determination attribute might then go up 3,4,5,6? points. You cant do that anymore, unless you move a low determination U18 player into the senior squad and then put him in a mentor group. Is this what the game is now expecting us to do with these U18 players? Because his training will suffer in the senior squad with coaches that have poor scores for working with youngesters.
  4. I never said I wanted accuracy. I said I wanted the game to make it possible somehow for low determination players to be improved so they can become successful. Whether anyone plays with the editor or not is besides the point.
  5. I think you can only disciplaine when the score is 6.4 or below. If a player hovers around 6.5 and 6.6, you can only criticise recent form which only seems to boost the average by 0.1 or 0.2.
  6. Shouldnt FM allow for some gameplay here? I mean its an attrative narrative, taking a young hopeless player and turning him around? There must be at least some examples in real life when this has happened? For the game to simply discard low determination youths doesnt just feel a bit cruel but also not quite accurate, and a missed oportunity for a cool managerial challenge to fix the player.
  7. Maybe in terms of layout improve it then? You can get a long list of stuff on scout/coach reports, always having to scroll down, all different things jumbled up together (some things important and other things trivial), and all that makes it difficult to keep a track of the important things over time as the hidden attributes progress.

This requires a careful bit of design, but I bought the editor this year and it has increased my enjoyment of the game because I can see a bit more of my players hidden attributes like Consistency and Professionalism, etc So I understand the players better now. I think in real life, a manager would have at least a fair understanding of these values, for example how consistent a player Joe Bloggs in midfield is. I think the game should allow at least some indication of these values, to help us understand why a player played rubbish in a game, and stop people drawing the wrong conclusions from a bad game that the player is useless or the tactic is wrong. Or why a player is training poorly. I dont mean it should necessariliy tell us what their exact value. But they should give a range, eg. Professionalism is >10. Or consistency is <8. The longer a player has been at a club and the more games he has played, the more accurate the range of these figures should become. A little bit like scouting, except drawn out over the course of a couple of years. Until after maybe 2 or 3 years, you know the player well enough that you now have a very narrow range of values for what their professionalism is eg. 14-17, 17-20, etc. I really think this would help increase understanding of your players and enjoyment of the game. eg. old Johnny Useless played a crap game in midfield again for me, his consistency is really poor but Ill stick with him, maybe it will improve over time. I dont like to use the editor to get the exact value of hidden attrivutes because it feels like cheating. At the same time, having zero idea of what their hidden attributes are feels too much the otherway, too difficult. (And using media style as an indication of controversy is a pain becaues of how the columns are structured) This idea any good?
  9. His personality is Low Determination and he has 4 for determination. Hes not good enough to be in the senior squad so I cant mentor him. If I moved him to the senior squad his training would suffer because my senior coaches are not good working with youngsters. So is he just stuck on low determination amd I cant help him? He actually has a decent PA but his CA is stuck waaaaay down low.
  10. Best thing is to work out how best to use him in your system. These expensive players can play better than expected because they have hidden skills.
  11. Also, reports that say 'very close toi full potential'... in my experience using the editor, this can vary from a couple of CA short of maximum, to about 10/15 CA short. Even with staff who have 16/17 for JPA anf JPP.

  14. Is this a bug? Ive had it reappaearing for years, and must have asked the board about 10 times to add a sports scientist. Each time they say no. So why does it keep reappearing ?
  15. Do your coaches in the senior squad have high attribute ratings for Working with Youngsters? Because anyone they coach under the age of 18 will be negatively affected if their ratings are not good. Hopefully youve packed your U18 staff with people who have high scores for Working with youngsters? Game time is important from age 18 onwards. They start bugging you for loans at age 17, but in my experience you can still get great attribute increases from just training and U18 games at age 17, so keep them until age 18. Then loan somewhere that has a high quality league, great training facilitiles and is promising at least regular starts gametime. The best things to do are ensure your youth facilities are rated as high as possible, and you have as many brilliant youth coaches as you can get.
  16. Perhaps make it an optional setting, but enable a Replay button to sit on screen during a game. Then you just press it to instantly replay the last 10 or 20 seconds of a game youre playing. This way you can reanalyse play quickly, and you can also enjoy a great passing move your team just put together, which would not normally be replayed because a goal was not scored from it, but its still enjoyable to rewatch.
  17. Apparently set piece improvments are being worked on but its unknown when they will be ready. Also if this was real football youd have six different players all arguing that they are the quickest, the best header, the best crosser, etc
  18. Isnt acheiving these things done with Team instructions and player roles, plus traits? You can set up your team to do these things, then train in them too to increase the effectivness and capablility of your players to execute them.
