  1. If she hasn't popped it yet and is resting up the last thing, she needs is for the telly to have only one story, can you imagine watching a 15-hour long program that's full of people who are only on TV as they expect you to die.
  2. I thought that was for when she dies, but they have had the script ready for about twenty years and got a practice run in last year. Just hope it's not wall to wall coverage, on every BBC channel and ITV with sports cancelled. The TV timed it wrong, it broke beginning of the week and has been replaced by a new one and now there's going to be nothing to watch on it for the next month.
  3. Can't work out how to do screenshots. I have Glyn Needs, Bath-------------- City
  4. Could you bump up the thread when the bid comes in? Barca as we've come to learn are skint and at the time needed to balance the books if PSG and others were aware of the situation that was coming they'd have bided there time for Barca to become bust or had no choice. Messi went for nothing. The game allows you to bid on any player, it's way of telling you that a player is not for sale is by rejecting your bids.
  5. No screenshots but; Talk about pointless emails my Chairmans either bored or a fantasist. We will increase your share of transfer income to 20% once transfer revenue hits £2m. I've a turnover of £88,000 pa and have never received a penny for transfers in the history of the clubs 130 years, the whole league and the higher division, would be hard pushed to have earned £500,000 since 1993.
  6. In the 21st century, Dick Whittington would be advised not to bring a cat to London with him unless he's got a job that pays at least £250,000 a year as he'd struggle to swing it around any property he could get on anything less.
  7. And as you move up the career ladder it gets worse, pre-match, final whistle and then post-match, then inane questions '' What do I think of Terry Woan's position at Llanfair'', I'm Liverpool's manager and couldn't give shiny *****.
  8. The games is much better if you avoid the tactics forum, build your own. And if it upsets you better stay away from it. It's far more rewarding. I quite like having my favourite tactic fail when I'm at a new club, means I need to work on another
  9. This certainly is the way FM is going for me. Its identical each year a long save starting at grass roots is the same each edition, it starts off ok each team has it's current squad, then they get decimated through the seasons. Do the AI managers ever vary their tactic. You set up your marking duties for the next game which could be 21 days away and the opposition still will still be there come kick-off in the same tactic. The chairman are identical at each club, you may get the odd tycoon, but by and large their all too reasonable, no wild sacking after one game, no ultra committed to the manager type who stick by you through thick and thin and do the AI managers argue with the board? F1 is interesting as yet it doesn't show what role you will play or will you get a choice? I tried Motorsport manager which looked a bit FM graphically, but decided to add promotion and relegation. Its appeal was lost soon after the first season. You do wonder if anyone took up the challenge and produced a FIFA style match view, with video styled interviews and interaction along with a huge database that didn't stick high end computers to a few 125,000 player limit it would make SI sit up? If a sport as niche as F1 is successful with a driving and sports management simulator as two games then the ears of EA might twitch to try again in attempting a Football Manager game set with FIFA style graphics game?
  10. Unless you can get a download and start from 1960 then you might get Brazilian leagues at the top.
  11. I spotted this to, if its as graphically good as the promotion video it will show nerdy manager games don't have to keep with crap graphics.
  12. If they released it at half or a significant discounted price then more would buy it and you'd get more players spotting the bugs and errors, but as it is more and more are waiting for the final release so to buy the game so now there are fewer ''testing'' the product and leading for the final edition being buggier than previous ones, upsetting them even more and leading them to leave or never buy again. I don't know what the demographic of FM players is but I'd guess it's getting older and with age comes patience and other priorities, we can wait and will do something else and question whether paying full price for an incomplete product where you do the work to help fix is worth it. Many don't bother buying every year anymore as each edition isn't much more than a database update so can hold on for 2,3 or more editions before buying the next. There are those who ''have to have it now'' but for how long are you going to pay for the privilege of being a tester fixing bugs for the updates?
  13. But if you buy it at release and then it updates you need to start again for them to feature in your game, you aren't playing the finished version until March, by which time it's not far off a sale in the summer. Why pay full price for an unfinished product?
  14. Does FIFA need restarting to install into a save after each update meaning you can't settle down to the full game for five months after buying it brand new?
  15. The thread about bizarre managerial appointments prompted this; Although long-term managers are more prevalent in FM than IRL. I've seen sackings becoming more like the real thing. Have trigger happy fan led chairman now more common in FM? After 22 days and five defeats Dagenham sack Matt Day the pre-season relegation favourites with one point after fourteen games.
  16. International Management is bizarre. The amount of big international jobs I've been offered after not being higher than a 1.5 star club and winning naff all is so far fetched you'd believe I chose the ''pick a team'' option. Juande Ramos popping up at Spurs for 5 minutes getting sacked and ending up at Real Madrid. Oh wait that was real.
  17. Their is a Norwegian with an even worse English league record and that is Stale Solbakken whose got the West Ham job.
  18. Are there any other products where you pay a premium for a brand new inferior version than the more complete on sale one eight months later?
  19. I'm surprised any of FM's agents are still in a job unless they are being backhanded by the clubs to accept poorer contracts. I mean what are they up to?
  20. Only after the final update as I used to. Preferably once the 22-23 football season is over and it's on sale. This edition has been particularly disappointing as the leagues are not correct and it's not obscure foreign leagues this is two UK leagues, Cymru North and Northern Ireland Championship. It seems bizarre that when the game is released at full price you are taking on the responsibility to spot and track faults and are then waiting for update after update restarting a save each time. You finally get a finished product that allows you to get stuck into a full long term save about 8 months later which is either the same price or on sale.
  21. Play it your way and avoid any tips, cheats or downloaded tactics.
