I have the Mac Digital Download of WWSM. I have happily played both 8.00 and 8.01 for months, with no trouble. When I updated to 8.02 my game reverted to the demo version. I have the e-mail confirming my purchase and the credit card statement showing a 29.99 charge. I attempted to re-enter my serial number and the game says that the serial is invalid. I was already forced to repurchase this game when my PC died and I had to switch to the Mac version. Now, the second copy that I purchased has stopped working. I just want to be able to play the game that I bought. A little customer service would be nice. I have been buying every relaease since 1999 and never before had a problem with the patches. I have always downloaded a file which takes a relatively short time to install and automatically updates my version once completed. All i can see for this new version are these BiTorrent onrs which aren't working for me and seem to have corrupted loads of stuff on my PC. Is it not possible for me to just download the file like before?? SI only seem to have given one option for PC Boxed at the start of this thread which is the BiTorrent. I followed the SI advice on manually changing the "Defoe fix" and the "Turkish teams finance fix" and I am in a new game with the original 8.02 version, have any other changes been made that would make it worthwhile downloading? All the settings in preferences are still the same and the logos/kits still in the same place. Has anyone else suffered from this? Does anyone have any ideas as to how to sort it... ypresfr Posted February 28, 2008 Share Posted February 28, 2008 Sorry if I'm being an idiot as usual but I have installed the patch using the PC boxed link on the first post and on some screens such as the filter player and go on holiday screen there is no "ok" option and I can't click off it or anything so obviously it's a major problem. I've deleted the 8.0.1 patch and am using the original skin btw. Anybody know what I can do??? PS. Already posted this in bugs forum with no reply. (in effect a 8.0.3). and will my tactics do very well for a couple of seasons, then crumble. will i feel i'm not performing as well as i should if i don't play with one striker? will i still have too limit the creative freedom of players i really want to be creative toostop them having a million shots a game?? I've now tried to upload FM but all i'm geeted with is a blank white screen. Anyone else had this? What do I do? How can I revert back to 8.0 version? I get past all the sega screens etc, but get the blank screen when it should be the new games, upload game screen. Has this patch given my laptop a virus of some sort? I've been playing this game as long as I can remember, but am not a massive wizard of the internet etc. I am at uni, so i cannot download the torrent (whatever the hell that means!) I've managed to download patches in the past, just like clicking on the link, bish, bash, bosh, done. So can I not just do that for this one? Also, i am still playing 8.0 version, and I really want to play with all the bugs and stuff fixed. Do i need to download 8.01 and 8.02? And if so, can someone point me in the right direction. I find it frustrating that you pay 25 odd quid for a game, that now needs all these updates that i cannot seem to get... Please help. Its a saturday and all i want to do is sit in, have a few beers and a pizza and have an all night football manager session!! Thanks in advance.
