[FM22] The Great San Marino Challenge

Hey guys, i'm in season 2028/2029 and so far im making a run for promotion to serie A

But trough out the save i've had a problem with my finances, at the begining i though it was just because we were in the lower league but now its my second season in serie B and it continues to get worst

Does anyone have any suggestions to help me improve this?

Not much you can do with finances in Italy. I didn't have a chance to improve any facilities until I reached Serie A, so we won Serie B with the same facilities we had in Eccellenza Emilia-Rom C. I only reached a positive balance a couple of times in the lower leagues. The club won't let you go bankrupt or anything so I wouldn't worry. Just know that when you reach Serie A, things will improve:

What a season! We topped the league for much of the season but with all the other games going on we dropped off towards the end and a loss to Inter in the penultimate game ended any hope. We were knocked into the Europa League from the UCL, and we went on to win it for the first time! And we also won our first domestic cup with the Coppa Italia!

Champions League draw is in... We were 4th seeds so to have Nice in there is nice (pun completely intended) and gives me some hope we might drop into the Europa League. 

Spent relatively conservatively over the summer - was given £14m and pushed some of that into the wage budget. I have my first Brazilian - Evailton - who has just scored a hattrick against Torino. I'm hoping we can start to attract some wonderkid types, both through the academy and in the transfer market soon.

Euro 2032 has been awesome! A 0-0 draw with Ukraine was followed by a 1-0 loss to France, and an emphatic 3-0 win over Sweden was enough to get us through! We got Belgium in the Second Round, and whilst they’re not the top ranked powerhouse they started as, (now 32nd in WR) they are still a much stronger side, but they only beat us 1-0. I can’t complain, we have improved on 2028 where we went out with no points and no goals scored. My next aim is to try and qualify for the 2034 WC. Fingers crossed!
 

We’re now ranked 103rd in the world.

So i started my journey at san marino also in the san marino league as tre penne I had a horrible start of the season had a nice recovery just not enough to get into the top 4 so was only able to qualify for the Champions Play offs which I went 3-0 down but a unbelievable comeback in 2nd leg to make it 6-3 and go to the Champions Play Offs Quarter Final but my fate got sealed there..

What a display over in San Marino in the nations league was able to get my first win by 5-2 was able to get the first hattrick to up Nanni!

As long as you are having fun. In my attempt in fm 14 I first got to the euros in 2042 so it doesn't matter if it takes long or not

hy all,

started this challenge , but now i am stuck at promotion in c division . i won the league in D and message said that i am promoted in C .

but i got no schedule for division C or for division D at least. only a cup game is scheduled somewhere in september .

have no idea why this happened .

I had this exact thing happen to me, end of 3rd going into 4th season.

 

I looked all over for a solution, there isn't one. I just started again.

 

I am hoping it doesn't happen again. I have monthly autosaves on for separate files now, so if anything happens I can maybe have someone from SI look at it.

 

But yeah, I just started again and it seems that's the only solution, sorry.

2022/2023 Season

San Marino National Team

The Nations League campaign was really disappointing.  However, something did seem to click with the last 2 games and then we won two friendlies pretty easily.  Predictable losses to Serbia and Ukraine were with our 2nd choice XI - I kept the first choice XI fresh for the Faroe Islands and Armenia games - and we were rewarded with two excellent wins.  There's no chance we'll qualify - but hopefully we won't finish bottom either and the second Nations League campaign will go better.

Victor San Marino

Only 3 regular starters from last year were retained.  I struggled to sign a keeper, in the end bringing in my 4th choice Davide Aluigi, who ended up playing well (7.05 average).  I wasn't happy at right wing or striker - on the wing we ended up bringing in a player from San Marino Academy, who was OK for us after no less than 3 players signed elsewhere after we offered them deals.  Our top scorer was our striker Pironi, but I won't keep him next year as I was never sold on him.  We started out in decent form, but a change of tactic in December saw us pull away and win the league comfortably.  We won the Poule Scudetto after a slow start.  Now, hopefully I won't have a crash in Serie C and will go full-time.  I've got backups just in case.

Youth Intake

San Marino is well stocked with keepers - and there's another on the way in Biordi.  Hopefully we'll be full-time and I can hope for slightly better development...

Cosmos

After finishing 2nd last year, I thought we would be in Europe.  I must have missed the in box item where the San Marino League got 1 less spot in Europe - as in fact we didn't qualify...  Serves me right for spending my European prize money before it was in the bank!  A slow start, and again a change in tactic kicked us into gear and we finally found consistency.  Despite taking the Cup far more seriously this year, we still got dumped out in the 1st round - we had a man sent off after 4 minutes in the home second leg and never got into the game.  However, this time in the Playoff final we finished the deal and won the Champions Playoffs.  Now I can think about how to spend my European prize money!!

Youth Intake

Lacks the immediate star of last year's group - lots of potential, but we'll see if any even get close to it...

In game, it's 25 years.  In real life, it appears to be 30 years.  Pedrazzini is the only one you'll get, as we believe he has been a San Marino resident.

Been awhile since I've officially done a challenge here on the forums and I've got the itch so I've picked the San Marino challenge. Already in January of the first season with Victor San Marino. Hopefully I'll complete the season in a few more days and I'll have screenshots of my accomplishments. I did plan on starting off both with the San Marino NT and Victor San Marino but forgot to select that when setting up the game so instead of restarting it I just rolled with it and am patiently waiting for the job to open up.

MERRY CHRISTMAS FOR THOSE WHO CELEBRATE THE DAY!

I had a final day in my 2022/23 season where I went on and bottled the league losing in the semi final play offs after had gone 19 games unbeaten in the league and finishing 1st but we battle on strong! I was able to win the cup however which got me qualification for Europa Conference League 1st qualifying round.

Victor San Marino

Season 1 - 2021/22

League - First season with Victor San Marino in the Eccellenza Emilia-Romagna Girone C (Tier 5) of Italian football and we were one of the favorites (media prediction of 2 or 3) so anything short of a title challenge would have been a failure in my eyes. Not only did we meet that mark we won the league and went invincible in the league (20 wins, 6 draws). We started the season off flying out the gate and we were scoring plenty of goals. Our defense will need improved upon next season with the step up but we absolutely smashed it and I couldn't be happier!

Cups - We competed in 2 cups this year. First up was the Copa Italia Eccellenza Emilia-Romagna. This was not a priority for us as we were fully prioritizing the league so the first 3 quarters of the competition we fielded mostly our backups However once we hit January and the league fixtures slowed down and we were still in it I felt this was a winnable competition and started playing more first choice players. We made it to the final and faced off against Alfonsine and after 90 we were all even 2-2. In extra time we found the goal and lifted the trophy 3-2!

The other cup we were in was the Coppa Italia Dilettanti. Starts off in a group stage with 3 teams and that is where our journey ended. We drew the first game and won our second game. We finished the group with the best goal difference but it turns out it's a random draw if you finish on the same points. We weren't the lucky ones and our name wasn't pulled so we crashed out, a real shame as this was another winnable competition it seemed. 

Other - Didn't get any upgrades to facilities or youth recruitment/junior coaching and our finances aren't great but that's life down in the lower leagues. After gaining promotion and getting a new contract the board did allow me to get my next coaching badge (Continental C). Didn't grab any screenshots but our youth intake was very good. Got a few highly rated San Marino boys who will hopefully develop nicely. It does suck u21or even u18s have to be registered or they aren't eligible to play in the league. Use to managing in England where that isn't the case. Anyway onwards and upwards and patiently waiting for the San Marino NT job to open up

After 2 season on Serie C, Finally Victor San Marino win Serie C and promotion into serie B. With 4-4-2 Fluid Counter Attack i have duo striker who can't stop scoring. Hasan Begovic scoring 23 goal and become top scorere in Serie C. Elia Petrielli doing the same with 19 goal in first seson with Vicrtor San marino.

We win Serie C only lost 4 times. we scoring 85 times and make us best attacking club in Serie C

And now list Victor San Marino. Only Fillipo Berardi San Marino Players play in first time in this club

This years finnaly Victor San Marino have player who will be next star not only in Victor San Marino but in San Marino National Team, his name is Alan Santi

End of 2028/29 season - we finished 3rd in Serie A. We were battling on three fronts going right into May but only won once in that month, beating Sassuolo in the Coppa Italia final. We lost in the Europa League final to Hertha Berlin which was a fair result, they were unreal and we couldn't get near them. We were top of the league for so long but just didn't have the squad to compete so 3rd wasn't bad considering.  

Inter Milan won the league - some bloke called Lautaro Martinez scoring 50 league goals in the process. 

Facilities are improving slowly (the board still have what I'll politely call a Serie B mentality) and we're still at Acquaviva while the new stadium is being built. Still two more seasons before that's ready.  

However, we had a fantastic youth intake. The class of 2029 produced two highly rated strikers and one midfielder and I'm trying to integrate them into the national side already. Nanni is on the verge of 100 caps now, but I don't know how much longer he'll be playing in Serie A. 

We still have the lowest wage in Serie A at £400k p/w going into the new season. 

Evailton won the NxGn so I'm optimistic we have a good one there. I've focused on signing up potential wonderkids for the new season, so we hopefully have a bit more depth this year. Our Champions League group contains Arsenal, Lille, and Ajax, so once again, I'd like to hope we can manage 3rd. That's what happened last year and we had a lovely run to the final.

European Conference League 23/24

 

First time playing in European Conference League since 21/22, as I failed to qualify during 21/22 season however was a successful run getting into the 3rd qualifying round then losing in the 2nd leg despite a 1-0 win in the first leg.

Nice man! I don't know if I'm going to be promoted this season. Currently in 2nd at the halfway mark but I'm only signing Sammarese players for my save, so I'm really thin at a lot of positions.

yeh found the season easy the cup loss was a shock ill post my transfers i was looking for san marino players tho but i won it with the current team as i brought in a lot of young
