You can create Mentoring Groups in your 2nd team as well as first team. I'm not sure if you can do it in U-19's.

Oh right. But in the youth teams I have found no one has any influence on the others at all.

That is what i'm trying to find out i think it's possible.

@Hootieleece it is possible for every team. i have mentering units everywhere but don't see any change (only in the first team) but it is because of lack of personalties.

In whole Ile de France only one (visible / scouted ) player with Model citizen.. that young guy i signed. Strange !

Season 3 - February 2022

Our form continues

Out of the cup but still going great in Ligue and EL.

and 15 games unbeaten.

We are poaching PSG for the top. I would be really happy if we qualify in the top three.

Fadiga would be up the topscorers list but he was out for +- five weeks.

Crazy month !

Player of the month

Never expected this ! Ben Arfa is reading this topic because i was about to put him on the transfer list. Scoring goals and assisted a few in February, he finally seems to get used to paris.

Ayé had also a great month but Ben Arfa was very good in Kiev.

Only one game lost so far, that's very impressive. Any kind of European place would be great, but having been 2nd for some time you will hopefully cling on to get a Champions League finish.

Good Season. Your above my rule of thumb 54 points from 27 matches and pushing the Evil Empire of PSG.

AS Roma can be tough but usually can caught out when played by the AI. You will have to play your best probably though.

Class 2022 - Youth intake !

 
12 of 16 youth intake players are from île de France. A nice mix of personalties. Let's calculate and rank them now.

 I only signed the 9 best players + one player with mercenary personality for a test and I ranked them on Overall attributes rating(s).

The third class looks good, 5 good personalties, 2 superb. a much higher DNA and technical and physical rating.

Class 2021 - one year development

Renaud - Sylla and Colin grew the most. This class grew 9.87% . Class 2020 grew 6.95 in their first year.

Progress Sylla and Colin . Renaud is out loan so i can't show his progress.

Lower growth in the second year. Fabre (was out loan but i recalled him because he wasn't playing enough) - Dubois and Blanchard grew the most.

Tough month

Winning against the No. 3 Lyon, draw on Marseille, hopelessly out against Roma in Europe and then derby...

They had more chances but 0-0 was a correct score after 45 mins.

This is a little exploit..

Invited all the youth intake players born in Ile De france from every ligue 1-2 and national team from the last youth intakes , on trial for 4 weeks.. i can add them to my shortlist, see all their attributes and almost all the clubs accepts the trials. Sometimes those players have already a contract, sometimes not . But they all cost +- 1milj or more , compensation. so no real bargains . Beckham has a secret son in Paris..

 

This one is really good but costs me 1.6milj.

Season 3 - April 2022

Money time

10 out of 12 after busy months is good. I'll need 2 wins in our final four games to secure top 2 .

This looks good ! 2th place should be mine and that means a lot of money and Champions league group stage.

I'll invest this money in Training and Youth facilities and could buy Sanogo (have a 1.5 clausule).

 

Player of the month

Kwateng the wing back beast ! scored 6 and assisted 20 . Really bargain for 1.5m.

The month May and season review will unfortunately be for within two weeks, had too busy day . I will continue playing within two weeks and follow the other topics here ! Bye

I took a break after completing season 4. I've not decided whether to continue now, continue after a break, or take on a different country. Four seasons is a marathon for me but it has been very enjoyable.

Thanks, the holiday was great (sometimes special - thanks covid).  For the first team in years i didn't read and think much about FM during my holiday. Not a good sign.. i'm going to complete my season and decide what i'm going to do. Only a few months left till the next edition arrives.. same problem each year   what would u do in three months if you decide to stop with Lorient ? I wouldn't do anything in detail.. maybe a youth only in a small country or something like that.

Good to hear you had a good break (and break from FM too). I'm not sure yet, but I set up a database in Cyprus, Turkey and Norway so might continue with one of those. Or Lorient. Or somewhere else. Work and other things have taken over recently so I need to see if time can be found.

Ayé scored 41 and Kwateng assisted 20 in one season, so could be an excited next season.

Manager thoughts

Very satisfied with achieving the champions league and finishing so close to PSG. Very unexpected despite last season's good performance. Especially the contribution of right wingback Kwateng was of gold value with 20 assists .
Surviving the European league group stage was also nice. 

Season 4 plans

I seriously doubt to continue playing. I often do have this after a break (holiday), often because I read other stories or read a book about a famous coach or club. This time I didn't do that but still I doubt. Either I play on and put less details in my updates, or I take on another challenge for a few months. One of the days I decide.

If I stay I have already attracted two young interesting players (Kouassi and Kapo) but I will have to find a replacement for Adli (end of loan) and Ben Arfa . Sanago's 1.7 million purchase option I will probably raise. I'll promote two or three youth players , the most exciting ones from the first three intakes.

IDF famous player Benatia is free but wants 390k / month.. to much.

Ben Arfa is gone. he had a good second half of the season and received an automatic extension but he decided to quit.

This already looks good and after the above upgrades it will even look better.

Not sure if i'll continue but ... a short preview

First transfers - Season 4 (already signed two kids from PSG)

After a good loan spell i signed Sanogo. The board blocked this transfer but i was able to talk with the chairman. Sanogo could become my nr 1 TM.

Doukara will replace Ben Arfa and has a resolute personality.

Really happy that i could extend Adli 's loan.

He wanted to sign a new contract and signed till 2027 with 2 years option.

Promoted youngsters for pre-season

He could play on MC roaming playmaker - scores 62.5

He'll get a chance at AF role - scores 60.

He'll get a chance as pressing forward - scored 71.

One of the best developers from the first class. He'll gets a chance as left wingback but will be loaned out.

Hello everyone, had a busy time (hot , covid problems, doubts to continue playing). 
Since yesterday I bought and installed a new (very fast :o ) computer, 5 stars graphics is what i was looking for  

I was going to start a Director of Football challenge (never did something like that) for the last months of FM20 . I wanted to start with a new club today but this saveis too good to stop. Therefore i made the following adjustments :

*I'm throwing the Ile De France policy overboard.
*Director of Football will do the transfers, I'll only do the matches, squad selection and tactics. I also choose to put together the staff of the a squad myself.

 

I didn't just want to start another save so I'm giving this a chance.  My only commitment to transfers will be that I can and may set transfer targets.

MC ball winning mid is urgent , and a GK is welcome because Jourdren is 36.

 

Director of Football

Never paid much attention but he'll have to do it this season. He decides everything about transfers in and out.

Responsibilities

 

 

We will start the 4th season with a champions league qualification. I'm curious what our Director of football will do. 

I will report here on each transfer period, and results per month or two months (fixtures - table - main facts). Of course I will continue to work with youth but it is mainly a DoF save now.

Season 4 - transfers in - part 1

A few of above were signed by myself in the past, Kouassi - Kapo - Sanogo. Also signed Doukara (FW) myself for 1.7m.

My DoF signed Aljusevic(BWM) - Antonsen (BWM or WBL) - Penetra (DC) and Gazzaniga (GK).

Happy with those four he signed, not expensive.. 

 

Season 4 - transfers out - part 1

 

first  6 are 16 years olds i signed (with IDF tag ) with great personalities . Early days , only 1th july so anything is possible in the next weeks..

He sold one of my best central defenders Moukoudi , a big DC prospect Muamba and a future star for almost nothing : E. Nicolas.
