Barcelona's Formation played right into your hands....

I almost always play a 4-1-4-1 Wide vs. a 4-2-3-1 Wide.

Whenever I play a team that plays the 4-1-4-1 Wide I almost always use a secondary formation because my #10 are so important.

My Clermont save my #10 had 19 assists and 10 goals.

You could be right - by no. 10 do you mean AMC?

Some big outgoing sales, including three good prospects and key player Boga who was the CL top scorer last season. What could be the reason for this, not like we need the money???....

Ok, so technically in game he doesn't have 2nd nationality as Cameroonian so I've gone against my signing rules. However his father is Cameroonian and I feel now I've done what I set out to do with Lens I can allow myself a bit of leeway. I've never managed Mbappe in any FM, so I'm looking forward to seeing how he gets on and have a bit of fun with him wide left, Diakite wide right and Guirassy up top

Wow I can't believe who you just signed. Well done on your continual success.

Oh by the way I just had my EQ.Guinea play Guinea in the 2nd round of the African Cup Of Nations and despite winning 2-1 at half time I lost to Guinea 4-2 lol.

I thought that might make you smile.

Thanks :D

Oooh yes, a few old names in there. Lass Bangoura was at Lens from season 2-4 and was around at the start of my Guinea takeover but he's old now. Unlucky to lose that one!

Yeah my team was up for it in that game as well in the first half and then just fell asleep in the 2nd half.

Yes. I thought that was how all the cool kids said AMC.

By the way keep making Paris SG your B****!

I thought that would be the case, but I don't use an AMC and currently my no.10 is box-to-box midfielder Tanguy Ndombele :p

We made it to the World Cup finals in North America, just one loss away to Cameroon in the last minute. A tough group awaits us, Portugal have an abundance of talent and Chile won't be walkovers.

That is one hell of a squad even without Mbappe, I wouldn't be surprised if you dominate World football for the next 5 years at least if not longer.

Agreed - absolutely smashing it!

We strengthened with the signing of Mbappe and later Moriba in January and were able to dominate domestically and in Europe on the back of being Club World Champions by winning every trophy available to us :)

Ligue 1

3dbd7e3913c764fea722c18b992f2eaa.png

We joined the 100 club (although 6 points off PSG's 2019/20 season record) and did so with a 100% home record too. Our losses were 0-1 Lyon & St Etienne as well as 0-0/1-1 draws with Monaco, Le Havre, Nimes and Strasbourgh, all away.

Coupe de France

ac3d6ea90e8f9ee46955c90bdd40fc89.png

We ended our Cup run with a 7-0 thrashing of Bordeaux in the final after eliminating Lyon & Monaco on the way.

Champions League

We really enjoyed our trips to Germany; big away wins against Dortmund and Bayern paved the way to the semis. A solid 2-0 win at home vs Man City was enough to put us through despite a 1-0 loss at the Etihad. The final should have been a close contest, but we dominated a star-studded Liverpool side to retain the Champions League :D

I think RC Lens has just become the Galactic Empire!

You might want to look into Till Cissokho for your team as a defender for your team just for laughs. He is 6'7" tall and can head a ball. He starts as a backup in Clermont's first team.

You will be happy to note that RC Lens is doing well in my save as well. Promoted with us to Ligue1 and now in European places at half season.

Wow. As they would say in FM, "running out of superlatives" :D

Were your two full-backs through the academy or you purchased them? Koua in particular looks mental.

 - Koua signed from Celta Vigo for £25m in Jan 2023 aged 19 - they picked him up direct from Ivory Coast. Ngwem we picked up from Angers aged 16 in Summer 2021 for £2.4m so he's kind of through the academy. The only ones directly through the academy are Sergilio Balde, Brehima Diakite and Mory Traore who were all from the first intake!

The African Galacticos :brock:

Good to see Lens doing well, Cissokho definitely looks like a good budget option, he's playing for Bastia in Ligue 2

We beat the three hosts in our warm up friendlies. Guirassy, Moriba, Naby Keita, Diakhaby and Diawara will be pivotal for us.

Safely through to the 2nd round where we face one of the hosts, Canada, who we recently beat 4-1 in a friendly. Hopefully we can do it again!

Croatia are slight favourites. They've already knocked out France, Portugal and the holders Italy, but needed extra time in all three. In theory, they should be absolutely shattered!

The teams are out. Seydouba Camara starts at right wing despite being 78% fitness. He's been too important to leave out for this one.
