Current State of Play

I will finish the Copa America soon. Just wanted to show you where we are. The MLS is half way through the current season. Can I potentially salvage something?

3c40931ecc45af444d360931704524cb.png

I'm going to say no . 1 win all season. d0b5c47868f41c454f68e2e8059c90cd.png

Rock Bottom in the Supporters Shield. I've literally started us right at the bottom of the MLS.

I regret nothing!

We have been knocked out the Cup as well so my season is literally damanged control.

So how does the MLS work? Strap yourself in.

264b6e2cae0d2d73198c890f6432071d.png695032bb6da00406af2e0ae0c02fee29.pngbbeb66dd5b637bc71a20dcfc0fa3576c.pnga4f93e261e1c96f14709e355ffbe6ebc.png

It is very similar to the A-League in terms of designated players not counting towards Salary Cap.

It's quite complicated but you'll be amazed how much you can just get on it with.

Onto the squad. Are we massive underachieving or are we doing pretty much as expected?

b85477d22c1c3e525623086261021fd9.png8111ffd499ef65ad366734d2e1aa583b.png

So the first thing you'll notice is the complete lack of Goalkeepers. There aren't any. Starting to see why this team has struggled so much!

Next thing is the sheer amount of injuries and the lacl of general quality throughout. This is an awful team and we are pretty much starting from stratch.

My first game in charge is literally the day I took over...I'm not hopeful!

e408b6a54e39e434f53f4a52157ddce8.png

Ignoring the squad and actually looking at the Starting XI it's not horrible. There are 3 positions we really need the rest aren't too shabby. This was a brilliant start. Columbus are the worst team in the other conference so we can't get our hopes up to high at all but this is a brilliant start.

f2bf1de78e558df34a39835322a2b82a.png

Financially we are in a brilliant position to improve this squad. Things are looking grim at the moment but I think this could be a really good project for us.

MLS

We carry on the rein or hope/terror with our first and hardest game of the season. We are away to the league leaders. We beat the worst team 3-0, I'm half expecting the reverse.

I have 15 games to make a difference.

One of the first things I've noticed is complete lack of staff at the club including zero scouts. That had to change! I hired 6 new scouts. Fingers crossed they can bring us a new team!

3c7c4a50e9df97ed069fdcc8e3470634.png

Gutted we couldn't hold on! We were outplayed throughout but we gave them a scare. We are showing signs of life. If we can pick up these sort or results with holes in the team I'm confident we can carry on going forward.

eea86c2d6e17cffc2f38633908a9966f.png

At the end of the month we remain firmly bottom of the Conference and the League. My aim is getting that 10th spot I reckon.

Copa America

The MLS and Copa America are taking place side by side. I will keep the posts seperate. I'm hoping to fly through this half a season so @Rikulec be on standby!

We play Uruguay next (in case anybody has forgotten). We are already through but the higher we finish I assume the better draw we get.

2e14da3458c09b32fd8c7f66b5bc74b2.png

Great performance. We had to wait to kill the game but we were in total control throughout. Great display.

Chile up next, despite us being through we have somebody else destiny in our hands.

Heading into the final round of Group games the standings look like this...

6fcb393fac10010ef684b310386611e2.png

Brazil all but through with the other place wide open. Any one of 4 could claim our 2 last spots. I'm going to assume I would take on whoever finished 4th in Group A if I top the Group. Watch it be Brazil.

d6576283e6c37f4c9746a7049f8865c7.png

Well at least I've done something with my season!

2b27dc14d504d2bd553fbd71cd2d8acf.png

Colombia left it late but squeezed through.

f677ed84ecb41d25e67dfd284e330d79.png

Disappointed not to win after the red card. We created enough but just couldn't find the winner. Its enough to bag top spot in the Group.

02ec1aa83087ae99aed9bd5b57127334.png

In the end no real shocks in our Group.

efa47d5163daf743bea42da54c7761c5.png

So I was completely wrong with how the Quarters would work. We play Ecuador who finished 2nd. Tasty tie at the top there. Worth noting that Argentina still haven't won the Copa America since the 90s.

Big gap of 9 days between the fixtures.

a8249f406ce7ba044cb534feaf8662c4.png

Brazil win the battle and Argentina's wait continues!

76d12435a79d582296807ed6527a4912.png

Japan bossed the Group stage but fall at the first hurdle in knockouts. Hopefully not a sign of things to come.

946f5d4e762bdc79ec91dbe04a0b8507.png

Great game seems Chile advance. 4th v 4th that was...makes no sense.

Last but not least us...

77d9f958cbe9a493f4e1193c283ef31b.png

Very good game! Both sides had numerous chances. They gave us a real go and I'm just happy to get through.

It means at the very least we match the FA's expectations so we won't be fired!

f86cec7a0965352d7cb486f30274b1b4.png

Rematch of the Group game which finished 1-1. Different game however. It means Brazil will face Uruguay in the other Semi Final.

12e61c3ce12997ac0aeb5319ce22c6f4.png

Brazil are one game away from making it 5 wins in 6 Copa America's.

 c821d1a7eb8aeb300fceb1e23f5aa870.png

8 minutes of pure perfection. We dominated throughout, this is the score the Group game should have been but I'm happy to save it for when it really mattered! Delighted.

So it's Brazil in the Final. Between us we have won the last 5 Copa America's it will of course be 6.

9a835109bb9a575ebe519195b0f6cde2.png

Uruguay pick up 3rd place, I'm sure they are delighted.

5d2baea2fcfc0f866f0df2f38cf9e402.png

Heartbreak. Brilliant final. Fantastic game. Neither side deserved to lose, but there has to be a loser and on this occasion its Mexico. Very proud of the players. Strong showing against some good teams.

July

We head into July with the transfer window opening.

I tried to improve the Youth Facilities, coaching and recruitment and they basically told me "you've been here 2 minutes mate."

09c4091950456e2579816c811115bf80.png

FC Dallas away starts the month. They sit 4th in the conference. Not an easy start after the good win.

I've also made my first signing. We needed a keeper. That was the 1 position we needed ASAP. Somebody caught my eye in Argentina and with a 4.8m minimum release I had to have him (although I tried to offer lower).

d4cfde8f511902167ff9c8421b802c55.png

He should do a job in the MLS. He will arrive just in time for our 2nd game of the month.

The rest I'm willing to wait on to be honest. The squad isn't as horrible as it first appeared. With a keeper we might stand a chance of nicking some games.

6316815842dd774d61460432e6af3214.png

Although it wasn't the keeper here. We dominated and could and should have won really. Good point on the face but it could have been more!

Steady start with 1 win 1 draw 1 loss.

Chicago Fire at home next. They sit 9th in the conference. We have to believe we can get something from this game.

c6fd76befdd74d0a03b8f3b698d86e59.png

Perry Kane joins us on a Free Transfer. We only had 1 striker in the side so it was a no brainer.

He starts the next game...

288e89b09d6db8faf761acde6f986003.png

Can honestly say I've never seen this before.

7629483fa7cdc74b3672d33e4ed72a75.png

New striker and new keeper did nothing but we won! I'll take it every day of the week!

We remain rock bottom but we are moving in the right direction. We play again in a few days so lets hope we can build on this little bit of momentum.

San Jose have struggled as much as we have and we could have ended up there if things worked out differently.

b37ab71f48f5813ca6bf822d9dc3d3e6.png

Fitness was an issue but we picked up the win in an even game. First away win for us since taking over.

Seattle away next. They sit first in their conference so I'm not expecting much too be honest.

9032fb5015d58f8e69f6fa7b96413091.png

Once again we go away to one of the best and once again only a late goal prevents us picking up a great point. Annoying this one as I thought we deserved a point.

Once again we play a game with only 1 day rest. The MLS need to look at their fixtures because its getting a bit annoying.

bf5db3bb4e4db503643e7de47649c6dc.png

Having a laugh aren't you.

b974fad586d4912f28380662b91b3aaa.png

I was all ready to blame fitness and fatigue but we managed to pick up the win! Very satisfying.

Big rest now for the lads. 26 days worth. Much needed. I'm trying to bring in more players so I can rotate.

57480299343ebf1244b7ab4891b4d3c3.png

Just what were they wanting here? We have only lost 2 games and they were narrow losses to the teams running away with both conferences.

The league looks like this at the end of the month.

c4ac4d817ed2b4f61369014e029834f3.png

92928bdbbc7cc6a1dd062e3d2fceee3a.png

We started rock bottom of both the league and the conference, shoots of life since we took over. I'm confident that the lads after me will be able to make something of this squad if we manage to survive staying!

They want Top Half in the Supporters shield. We have a chance to finish as high as 19th realistically which would be a decent achievement with the squad I inherited.

August

I'm not confident of us actually suviving the season in a job. My turn could be absolutely pointless. I mean I knew they said they wanted to the win the MLS Cup but honestly I thought I wouldn't be judged this early! I thought it was going to be some other poor sucker .

ded44d785148531d1ba65fda2f4f32fd.png

Only the 3 fixtures this month. It was the All Star break. Which is why there was a massive gap.

I've done all I'm going to in the Transfer Window. I've bought a few players in just to bulk out the squad more than anything.

I decided not to take control of the Mexico U23 squad. Once again its Brazil who stop us, in the Semi Final this time.

The board confidence has gone down to F. Never seen it before and I don't like it!

There have been positive shoot of recovery but we are being punished for the shortcomings of the previous manager. All I can do at the moment is keep winning games. Keep the wolves at bay and hope the next person can come in and steady the ship!

Ok my next match is approaching. I have 3 games in hand over the last team currently in the playoffs...I'm 14 points off them...meaning if I win out I will only be 5 potential points off a playoff place. Am I being crazy or stupid for getting my hopes up?

88452ea82386d297026465dd9534c75f.png

Another fine performance and a good win. Good to see Kane on the scoresheet! Hopes are rising!

Our next 2 games are both away but both are winnable. I have a feeling if we are going to pull off the impossible we can't really drop any more points!

Vancouver are rock bottom of their conference. Not many times we have faced somebody below us!

ebc4ba08ee6a7a762a446899e84fd431.png

It was tight but it was a win. I'm sure the 13 fans were absolutely delighted.

We play Real Salt Lake next. They are in a similar position to us. A few wins and they could be right in the playoff hunt. Something unthinkable a few weeks ago.

358a730c3bd048742bc93f4475e49b25.png

Another tight win. We are grinding wins out in order to keep our season alive!#

It means heading into what it essentially the final month both leagues looks like this...

bb0e0c0dbfb60ced89563be8addf0bf3.png

We are 5 points off Portland, we play Portland at home next month. Amazingly we have hope.

The board wanted top half. We have a chance of top half. Big month incoming!

7fd773dbbd5518f7b5363202eac67053.png

We also play Houston who are ahead of us. Big month, there is one game next month which I'll probably tac onto this post.

San Jose sit 12th in the Conference. A chance to put the pressure on!

f20cbf1bb2e105d04f520fcb4e4d6ff5.png05a4c42403622d48c64cbe5183a8e2b2.pngd272b76c3f12da908e01cdaa7f64f97c.png

I asked when I first joined and they said no. Amazing what a few good results can do! Fingers crossed that will help future managers on their quest for North American glory!

59e049112a874caac8e4c85f50cc94f0.png

We dominated but were poor going forward. Its a missed opportunity as the two teams above us also drew. We still are fighting for a playoff spot. Hopefully these 2 dropped points don't end up costing us.

NYCFC next. They are 4th in the conference and once again we have 1 day rest. It's been fine the past 2 times this has happened fingers crossed it can continue. Amazingly we are listed as 1-3 favourites. I don't agree with that somehow!

I think we have reached the stage of the season where any more dropped points could mean the end of the impossible.

e957522446add788d9955a4735103a91.png

Some crazy late drama but we managed to hold on. Huge win and the dream stays alive.

Up next is Portland, this is it. If we win its very much game on. If we don't win then it will be too little too late.

Just an update on where we are after 2 games this month...

ecbb872d6f5fa5662c562085f2ea288c.png

LAFC have been dragged into the fight. With 4 games to go we play both Portland and Houston. Basically it means the playoffs are in our own hands. Win out and we are there.

The Portland game is the biggest since I joined. The win is vital!

5eee6e18e02f201be24f3956499ead96.png

And boy did we smash it! We played them off the park. One of if not the best performance since my arrival. Huge!

3 games to go and the table looks like this...

11892a9cd3585f8e3af3a0ef1cba0bf6.png

4 horse race for the final 2 spots and we control our own destiny.

We play Sporting Kansas City next away. They are 11th in the conference so we have to think we can win this and keep the playoff hopes alive.

LAFC play 3rd place Cinninnati while Houston have to go to 1st place Seattle. Portland also face 1st place in Montreal. This could be a huge week for us.

2d520bb5b5c90b0497c9eff8ebb5becd.png

I would say the early red card cost them but they were already 2-0 down! A win and we leapfrog them.

e2f80a3294947abcdcb57f0c3e511e9c.png

Seattle too strong for Houston. A win and we leapfrog them.

d531e76e40c18ee3cb38d19e42e254ac.png

Could we produce the perfect weekend!?

d09dc3cd1476f5068e9d6651454d2052.png

Pfft like there was any doubt! Huge win!

2 games to go...

618b2e7ffcb98598553564bbdc6dd9ef.png

Real Salt Lake still have an outside chance but just look at that. A win against Houston next and we are in the playoffs. A draw and we go into the final game with the playoffs in our own hands. When I took over this team had 1 win all season, now they are 1 win away from the postseason.

So the winner of the US Open Cup was New England. They won't be getting a playoff place.

The winner of the Supporters Shield will be Either Montreal or Seattle, obviously Montreal are ineligible so it will be Seattle.

It means the winner of the Eastern Conference will be either Inter Miami or Cinncinnati.

The winner of the Western Conference will be either

Then there is the winner of the MLS Cup which we have a chance at still.

Gameweek 33

Houston away. A win bags us the playoffs. A draw keeps our destiny in our own hands. A loss and we will need help on the final day. Tension! Its time for a good old fashion milking.

Elsewhere LAFC face 4th place LA Galaxy.

Portland play 2nd place Inter Miami. It means we could potentially afford to lose and still be in the playoffs heading into the final week.

Lets just win and get it sorted.

Technically we can finish as high as 4th in the conference! Portland have no chance any more. Honestly I don't care. We are there.

I have no idea how the playoffs work so I'm going assume the higher we finish the better.

We go to Colorado who finished 3rd in the conference. Still no idea how it really works. All I know is if I keep winning its a good thing.

Nice gap between games gives the team chance to recover, although they aren't exactly at deaths door.

Before that however we have a friendly against Iran I neither requested nor wanted yet clicked accept on when asked.

Go us! An unremarkable score to reflect an unremarkable game.

Now back to the serious matter at hand! MLS Playoff's. No matter what happens I'm delighted to get to the playoffs. I think next season we could be aiming for the Supporters Shield.

We didnt actually play Colorado while in charge but Nashville lost both games back to back against them. I bet they didn't think there was going to be a 3rd!

4e0f04de59a3c0272b418b3ac4e01981.png

Gutted! We finished with 10 men after it seemed we lost absolutely everybody to injury. It was a very even game, both teams creating lots of chances. It was a real good advert for MLS but it was an individual error that cost with when Rudolph screwed up. Annoying he is one of my signings!

All that effort to fall at the first hurdle.

fabulous turn around! 2 more years! don't win it all, i'd rather cope with the pressure of having to win everything than the pressure of moving us on!

Also, I've heard of the referee being the 12th player for a team, but Inter Miami went a step further actually signing David Webb to play for them?

Link to post

So, I've had a look at what I've inherited...

lyBmd7y.jpg

24 players in total, including only one goalkeeper, so that's 23 outfield players - three too many for my liking already. Even looking only at the star ratings it quickly becomes apparent that many of them are simply not good enough for our requirements. Nine players are only rated at 1,5* CA or lower and none of them seems to have any real potential. That leaves us with 14 capable outfield players. Not ideal, but we're going to have plenty of time to make moves on the market. If I can shift all the deadwood (or at least most of them), it should free plenty of space to bring new, better players in. Speaking of which, how do the finances look?

ylYRMMb.jpg

Pretty damn good, if you ask me. We have what I'd say is quite a hefty budget for an MLS club, certainly more than I expected! Looking at that, I'd say finances are not a worry for us - bear in mind I'm hoping to bring in some more money through transfers, even if it's probably not going to be much.

What about the players then?

GLDzoYd.jpg

We have a very, very good young goalkeeper. Unless he gets his head turned, which is definitely a possibility, I think we're definitely sorted for the next season regarding the #1 spot. We desperately need a second option though.

KzhLRc9.jpg

Very good physically, decent mentally and also okay technically. At 30 years of age he's definitely not an option in the long run, but I'm more concerned about the here-and-now and I believe he still has one more season in him. He seems to have done well for us so far and I can see him becoming a significant attacking threat thanks to his physical ability.

s9VFegJ.jpg

Out of all outfield players we have, this is the one I like the most. Not only does he have all the makings of a wonderful, technically gifted playmaker, but he's also not afraid to get stuck in and work hard to win the ball back, even if he's a little bit on the short side. I think he could play really well pretty much regardless of what tactical approach I end up choosing, but I'll definitely be looking for one that gets the best out of him.

LQOOqUU.jpg

The club info page has him as our key player. Honestly? I don't really like him. He looks good at first glance, but after a deeper analysis we can see that he can hardly do much more than run fast and dribble (and do it a lot thanks to his work rate). Moreover, he's right footed and can only play on the left wing, being absolutely clueless about any other position, which limits him even further. I can think of tactics where he could do well (he reminds me an awful lot of Grosicki for Polish NT and I ****ing hate that guy and the way we play :D), but it's not really my brand of football. If I can get a good offer, he'll most likely go.

p02yFoX.jpg

That's better. A well rounded striker, tall but also technically capable. He may not be the best finisher in the league, but he could definitely do a valuable job dropping deeper and putting in work in the incision phase. His presence in the air could also cause a lot of trouble for any defence.

fQLJBrh.jpg

I'll tell you I fell in love with this guy the moment @andychar showed him to us for the first time. However, looking at him now I can see some problems. The main one is that his vision is ****, meaning he may be able to play a good, precise pass, but he's going to struggle to pick options out. He's also tall and fairly brave, but with his poor heading I can already imagine my frustration when he gets into a lot of good positions and keeps blowing them. Still, I think he's a pretty damn good player overall. His leadership and teamwork make him a great asset and, I imagine, a key figure for the team's dynamics. What is interesting is that both him and Earl can cross the ball really well.

As for transfers, we have a jarring need for a backup goalkeeper and a right winger (I could retrain Mozdzonek, but I don't think he's the sort of player that would work well with an attacking full back and that's definitely how I'm going to use Aizpurua). The back line is more or less sorted, although it would be nice to get in some backup players for the flanks. We could also do with a big, bad, ****-off type of a holding midfielder.

I'm going to dedicate a separate post to the tactics tomorrow. So far I haven't really made any decisions, in fact I'm still considering a lot of things. I'll definitely be going for a highly technical, quick tempo, attractive game, though focusing on what we do in possession rather than just keeping the ball for the sake of it. I'm also a conservative when it comes to the back line, so it's going to be a 4-man one. That still leaves me with some fundamental questions though. Do I make Cuevas a central figure and build the whole system around him, or would it be better to focus on the potential partnership between Earl and Kane? Speaking of the strikers, do I go with two and try to dominate the centre of the pitch thanks to their physical presence, or do I move Kane to the left wing, using him as a sort of a wide target man for Aizpurua, creating a potential aerial mismatch between him and the opposition's full backs? As a consequence, do I play a 4-4-2, which naturally implies a relatively deep defence, or do I take full advantage of the squad being well tailored to a high pressing system and go with a top-heavy 4-2-3-1?

Decisions, decisions...

I hit a brick wall with recruiting. You can only have 63k p/w wages in the entire squad. Doesn’t matter if players are registered or not.

Also can only have 3 designated players. One of them is the keeper I bought. Another one is on crazy wages and probably needs to be shipped. Can’t remember what he name was.

Only 10 foreigners allowed although I think we still have a bit of wiggle room with that. I found out very quickly you can’t buy players from MLS sides you have to trade for them.

You can waiver players which is handy and a way of getting rid of them without it getting messy.

There are a few unhappy players. One wanted to move to a bigger club.
One wanted a new contract but I didn’t have the cap space to do it.
One wanted more game time to which I told him “hell no!”.

There is a lot of deadwood in the side but the starting XI I managed to put together wasn’t horrible. Build around it and the team could be great next season.

Good luck!

And here's the tactic I'll be using. As you can see, it's pretty much as simple as it gets. In possession I want us to be quick and decisive, the key to unlocking the opposition's defence being the striker working together with the AMC to push them as deep as possible, allowing for the wingers to receive the ball with plenty of space to cross. The downside of this approach could be obviously that we'll probably be crossing into a packed area, but I'm confident that with our physical presence up front we can make that work. A positive, high block defence should make us well equipped to win second balls as well. We generally have a committed, hard-working team, so I'll be looking to make the most out of it by setting out to press as high as possible and either win the ball early or force the opposition to hoof it forward.

As for Cuevas, in the end I decided to give him a simple CM(s) role. Making him a playmaker would have too much of an impact for our wide play in my opinion, and we all know how difficult it is to build up through the middle on this FM. On the contrary, making him a box-to-box midfielder could leave the defensive midfielder too exposed in negative transition. In the end Cuevas is going to have a bit of a static role, but I hope he can still see enough of the ball to make a difference and put in work in pressing, providing direct cover to the front four when we're defending in a high block.

When it comes to the flanks, I only went with one attacking full back who's going to be covered by the CM(d) on his side. As a result, I'll be looking at the right winger as someone who, of course, may provide direct threat by himself, but his primary objective is going to be maintaining possession and allowing for Aizpurua to make overlapping and underlapping runs (I want variety, which is why I didn't choose any of the specific team instructions). On the left we have Kane, who I expect to be able to beat his man and either put crosses in or try to finish our attacking moves by himself. I decided against making him an inverted winger or an inside forward because I want him to provide width and support when we have the ball in the middle third, the left back maintaining his defensive position.

Is it going to work? I don't know. We'll see!

Alright, so I've somehow navigated through the off-season. I'm confused as **** regarding what counts towards the salary cap and what doesn't, but other than that I'd say things are good. :D

jYWmKpR.jpg

For some reason this summary only includes "proper" transfers. It doesn't include all the fun I had with the allocation funds. I spent like £20M of that, so you can imagine it was pretty wild!

wnOArn5.jpg

A decent player who was available on a free, so I figured why the hell not. He's not going to be a starter, but it's good to have a solid backup option.

ruFqrdZ.jpg

Pretty much same as above.

hfqw5kj.jpg

And here's me starting to figure out how allocation money works! For some reason this lad was transfer listed for £5M or something like that, so I figured I'd try it out and see how it works. I offered £5M in allocation funds, had it accepted, and the next day I could already confirm the transfer. At first I was like, what the **** just happened? :D He joins us on the ridiculously low wage he had at Montreal Impact. Then I saw it had no impact on our transfer budget. So, I figured out the allocation funds work like some sort of a virtual currency for the MLS clubs. And we still had a lot of that in our account, which could only mean one thing for me!

Y3E1oFH.jpg

Cuevas was unhappy and had to be sold because of the release clause he had. Walder made me quickly forget about that. My word, what a player. This lad can do anything! And we only paid virtual money for him! This league is a world of its own. :D

OU460o8.jpg

Then we drafted a backup keeper...

LDU0mjE.jpg

...and a backup striker.

7hcdzho.jpg

Another wonder of the allocation fund magic. It almost seems too easy, apologies in advance if anyone taking over after me finds out I messed the club up and we have to jump ship!

5S3Z4qE.jpg

Yup, allocation funds again. 'Murica!

Yguxs8F.jpg

With so much fun in the transfer marker I also had to wheel and deal to make sure we stay within the limits of the salary cap. This young loanee from Flamengo should provide a decent backup option for the left wing.

6KXS8Qo.jpg

And here's the only player I actually spent real proper money on, £2,8M. Then confusion followed: I had agreed a £1,9K p/w contract with him, he came in on £3K p/w and for some reason he contributed £8K p/w towards the limit, consequently making us exceed it. What the actual ****? :D No worries though, I was able to use the gorgeous virtual money and now only £1,5K p/w of his wage counts towards the limit. Yeah, I know. Don't ask me.

This is how we're going to line up for the opening game of the season, assuming the pre-season friendlies go well and no one gets injured. Here goes nothing!

Two wins and one defeat against MLS clubs. Hard to make any judgments really.

Our first game of the season is away to Cincinnati. I'll update you at the halfway point of the season unless something very significant happens on the way.

Next up, two international friendlies in March against South Africa and Morocco!

A truly impressive turn-around, @andychar! I'm trying to figure out what this says about the MLS... it's probably not good . Best of luck in the coming season, @Rikulec.

Also, Perry Kane is one of my favorite regen names of this cycle, imagine how many jokes the guy gets comparing him to Sir Harry.

wonder if allocation money works like draft picks do in American Football, IE you get so much based on your finishing position the previous year, and you can use it as a form of currency to trade to for players with other teams. Otherwise I have no idea what in the world is going on :P

I largely ignored it because it scared me.

Cheers mate! Let's hope Perry can make a name for himself!

It seems this could be the case, we did receive over £2M in general allocation funds before the season started.

That would explain why I had so much of it to spend!

Haha I just thought I might as well leave it for somebody who know's what they are doing rather than waste it.

I wouldn't really say I fully knew what I was doing, but I guess things turned out fine. :D

We've reached the halfway stage. How are things looking?

gq8EAec.jpg

I'm happy with how the first half of the regular season went, especially with how we navigated through the fixture congestion in April (remember we have a paper thin 19-man squad!). We're looking really dominant, the games we didn't win were those typical frustrating FM games when you have the advantage but just can't seem to score. Where does that leave us in the table?

ZAlmKYh.jpg

iag2h0F.jpg

Colorado are going really strong despite losing to us. They could go three points clear if they win their game in hand, but we're still going to play them at our turf. We've shown how powerful and dominant we can be, we just have to be consistent and keep translating our advantage to goals and the Supporters' Shield could be ours.

Read his name at first as Will Wader (It's Walder) which is obviously unfortunate!

keep up the good work.

Just don't win a treble ;)

Was just going to say how unacceptable it is that you conceded!

But... you indicated your disappointment, thus I'll let it slide.

Trust me, I was pissed when that went in. :D
