I'm not completely sure we are going to retain our league title, but with the way that we play the likes of Celtic and Rangers 4 times in the league rather than twice, it means that there is an increased opportunity for over-hauling them. 17 minutes ago, withnail316 said: Well you're certainly not Hibsing this! Jimbokav1971
Feb 2024. I think we are in good form, and the Liverpool result is stupendous, but because Celtic and Rangers are in such fine form themselves, we are going to be hard-pushed to beat them to the league title. Ladbrokes Premiership. The draws against Aberdeen and St. Johnstone mean that we have dropped 4 points. Celtic dropped 0 points this month and are also out of the EURO Cup, (lost to PSV), so will have more time to prepare for future league games. Rangers dropped 3 points this month, (lost to Ross County), and are out of the EURO Cup too, (lost to Inter), so again they will have more time to prepare for future league games. We are 4 points behind Celtic and they have a game in hand. We play Rangers twice more, but only play Celtic once. We are going to need them to screw up pretty badly to reel them in, (even if we win all our games). Scottish Cup. We're away to Queen of the South in the Quarter Finals. Champions League. What a performance that was! We led 5-1 after 90 mins and they scored in injury time to make it 5-2. We are obviously favourites but not by much I don't think. Had we held them to 5-1 then we would have been hot favourites. This is already the biggest result of the save by far, Confidence. This still doesn't seem right. B- for what we are doing here? I don't think so, but maybe the opinion is heavily weighted on the league position, (they want 2nd remember), but we are still only 2 points off 2nd and hugely over-performing elsewhere. I think the balance is wrong here. Wrong by a lot. Finances.
Jimbokav1971
Local bragging rights. Mar 2024. Hearts scored 1st after 16 seconds, and then again last after 83 minutes. Jimbokav1971
Mar 2024. Frustratingly we dropped points again in the league. I have been prioritising the Champions League, (for the money), and the domestic Cups, (for the trophies), but it looks like it's going to cost us the league. Ladbrokes Premiership. While I want to obviously win the league, the board will be happy with us finishing 2nd. We need to play both Rangers and Celtic in the league, and assuming I win both those games, (and the other 2 league games), then although I will be ahead of Rangers, I will be 3 points behind Celtic. Luckily they also play eachother so there is potential for both of them to lose more points. Scottish Cup. Champions League. Confidence. Finances. Goal-scoring GK. It's double-figure goals for the 2nd season running for (21d) Robertson *. He's up to 12 for the season and that brings him to 28 goals. He has also scored his 1st free-kick of the season. Jimbokav1971
May 2024. Ladbrokes Premiership. You have got to hand it to Rangers, they won their last 8 league games, (including 1 against us), to win the title by a single point. Had we beaten them in that game then we and not they would be champions. It comes down to such fine margins in this league where the 3 of us are significantly better than everyone else. Scottish Cup Final. Confidence. My experience in Scandinavia/Nordicland suggests that despite doing the double and driving the club forward, I am seriously in danger of losing my job as a result of not meeting agreed targets. They wanted a top 2 finish and I didn't manage it. Finances. I'm going to start posting the finances less. (ie. just at the end of transfer windows and seasons). Goal-scoring GK. So for Matches as an example, it will show the last 5-7 games and the rating of each, with expected wins judged depending if they are good enough/dominant enough. Your 8-2 win against Hearts will grade out well, but a draw when expected to win will hold back the expected grade, leading to the A-

How we beat them 2 seasons ago I have absolutely no idea, but we are not yet at the stage where beating them over the course of a full season is a regular thing. EURO Cup. Jimbokav1971
Feb 2025. Ladbrokes Premiership. We beat Rangers in the League and then beat Hearts twice to keep them firmly in the relegation zone. Although I had sort of given up on catching Celtic, they have lost a league game in each of the last 3 months, (the most recent being away to Dundee. We only play them once more this season, but it's not impossible for us to catch them. At the same time, Rangers are just 2 points behind us with a game in hand so they are going to feel that it's not over either. Celtic got Man City in the 1st Knockout Round of the Champions league, and have already lost the home leg 0-2. Rangers were drawn against Man Utd in the 1st Knockout Round of the Champions League, (meaning that they both got through the group stage), and they lost the home leg 0-3, so that's probably that. We on the other hand have been drawn against Monaco in the 1st Knockout Round of the EURO Cup. I really need to get back into the Champions League just to stop 1 of the Old Firm cashing in on the money. Scottish Cup. As much as I don't like losing to anyone except Celtic, I have to accept that Rangers are decent and probably better than us, so no complaints here. Goal-scoring GK. Thanks. I thought I would offer some background to the bigger transfers. Greg Taylor (SCO) bought for £8.75M and sold for £10.75M, (rising to £13.5M). (20b) Johnston * came through the Academy in 2020 and sold for Adama Traoré (MLI) bought for £9.75M and sold for £15.5M after just 1 season. He is the closest thing I have seen to an Orri Freyr Oskarsson "cheat player" in many issues of the game. I often make jokes in real life about him in so much as that he is a phenomenal athlete, but he just isn't very good at football, (although he has done well recently the last couple of times I have seen him). In game my plan was for him to just run with the ball, run with the ball some more, keep running with the ball and then at some point he would get fouled and then my GK would either smash home the free-kick or penalty. The only thing I hadn't banked on was that the opposition players couldn't get anywhere near him and especially in Europe, he absolutely terrorised the opposition. I've off-loaded him after just 1 season because he was just too effective. I thought it was spoiling the game.

Jimbokav1971
Oct 2025. Ladbrokes Premiership. After 2 scoreless draws, (that were actually decent results in themselves), I should have gone with a stronger squad for the St Mirren game to build confidence and ensure a result. Instead I took my eye of the minutiae of squad selection and we paid the price. A lot of the time when we lose it's just because we were tired, or had poor morale, or were beaten by a better team, but on this occasion it was down to me and my poor squad selection. Jimbokav1971
May 2026. Season Summary. I'm not playing this save properly. I'm actually just setting some instructions and then going on holiday. It worked out ok in the 2nd half of this season. The plan here is to holiday and experiment with the "Son" options and then continue to holiday and see if I can offer some advance info to @Makoto Nakamura I'm not saying I'm not going to be buying any players, (because I might), but basically as I am not bothered about this in the slightest, (I can't even remember who the players are), I'm probably going to run this as Youth Only on the basis that we have already had a Golden Generation that if I remember correctly, I thought was too good if anything and it spoiled the game for me. That being said, I can't remember who was who and also can't be bothered to look back in this thread and see what I said at the time. Actually, I have just holidayed the last game of the season, (the Cup Final), and although I don't know what the score was, I had a few different achievements pop-up and that will change things a little, (but more on that in a minute). League Table. Scottish Cup. Champions. Betfred Cup. Lost 2-0 in the Final to Rangers. Champions League. Got through a tough group but then lost 4-0 on aggregate to Chelsea in the 1st Knockout Round. Overall Best XI. Unsackable. I was going to continue on as normal but this might be something that @Makoto Nakamurawants to make use of, (not that he will need it, but just in terms of the number of problems he has experienced in the game this year). Having thought about it though, this is perfect for me. If I activate this I can just go full on Youth Only and not even look at results during the season. I hardly ever play FMT so what the hell. Let's go for it. Just as a reminder/recap as to what unlockables we have available and/or have used, here is the "wallet" on my game. I use the loan restrictions unlockable when the opportunity came. Not to assist me with incoming loans, but out-going loans. I have the option to remove transfer windows but it's not going to bother me anyway if I'm going Youth Only, (and I am). I have just unlocked and triggered "no sacking". I can be a National Team manager, (although have no interest at this time). I could get rid of WP's but didn't do that previously and no I'm going Youth Only there is no point. Attribute Masking is on and is staying on. I just couldn't remove it. Ever. I've used this already and although I have "unlocked" it within the game, I have a feeling that I actually purchased this. (I remember purchasing something), and it sounds about right that I would pay for it and then unlock it in the same season. Either way, we've done it already and I must have spoken about it previously in this thread because it would have been a big deal. Finances. Facilities. I'requested that the Training Facilities are upgraded and the only other request I can make is a new contract. I think I'm looking in the wrong place. This looks to be the only page that has info on the Facilities. This is more like it. I can remember not being able to find this 1st time around. Affiliations. It looks like I was working hard at this before, but not sure I can be bothered at the moment. The club owner. Is Peruvian. I don't remember that. I think I might have to go back and re-read my own thread. General Info. I'm an Icon. I don't think "unsackable" should have been unlocked until I became a legend. These things should be hard. Really hard. Squad by Appearances. I'm going to list everyone for sale who is not HG at club before I go back on holiday. We seem really short on striker, but who cares. They can't sack me right! Goal-scoring GK. (21d) Robertson * scored 15 goals this season to bring him to 53 goals according to the Best XI. I've just listed all non Academy products for sale. It was quite refreshing. Jimbokav1971
Season Summary. May 2027. League Table. Runners Up. Scottish Cup. Lost to 2-1aet to Aberdeen in the Semi-Final. Betfred Cup. Lost 3-1 to Aberdeen in the Semi Final. Europe. Lost 6-2 on aggregate, (won the 1st leg 2-0 at home), to to PSG in the 1sk Knockout Round of the Champions League. Squad list by appearances. A few teething problems in terms of squad selections. I've resolved the GK issue with selecting (21d) Robertson * in the starting line-up and that's sorted now, but as quickly as I cancelled the old loan deals, the Ass Man made new one's. What I'm going to have to do is set it so that I return from holiday the day before each window closes, cancel any loan deals and then go on holiday after the window closes. There used to be an option to "only buy players on shortlist", but now there seems to be nothing like that at all. Transfers. I think I know how to stop this next season. Finances. Facilities. Best XI. Goal-scoring GK. Although my Ass Man didn't arrange any transfers in, he did sign 4 loan players over the 1st half of the season and 1 of these was a GK who played in all but 1 game. I cancelled all the loan deals when the Jan Transfer window opened and then selected just a HG GK and added "use selected squad where possible". (21d) Robertson * scored 7 in the 2nd half of the season though, bringing him to 60 career goals.
