It finished 0-0 and the only highlights were the kick-offs and the final whistle. (Yes I know that we probably won't be playing in Europe again next season unless I can work a miracle and there is a VERY real chance that IF Bromma will be. This is better than I was expecting. A certain Kim Kallstrom is a club Icon. So is Teddy Sheringham! I don't remember him playing in Sweden, (but he did). I must admit, it appears to be a bigger job than I initially thought. After getting promoted from the First Division Elite in 2000, they actually became the dominant force in Swedish football for a while. Swedish Premier Division Champions 3 times in 4 years. Swedish Cup Champions 3 times in 4 years. But then they finished 3rd in the league in 2007 and 2017 and were Runners Up in the Cup in 2013, 2018 and 2025, but that's it. I don't particularly like either Senior GK so they will be sold/released and (26) Larsson (2026) * will start. The biggest problem here is that (26) Larsson (2026) * is only contracted until the end of next season and has already had his head turned by FC Bayern sniffing around. He won't enter contract negotiations but I'm hoping that will change after a few starts. DL. Again, we have 2 teenagers and and then 2x 30+ year old. Interestingly, both the experienced players are products of the IF Bromma Academy and how I would have liked them at my last club. Augustinsson might be 32, but he looks decent and will be my starter with (27) Sandell offered a Pro contract and used as support. Augustinsson is the best DL at the club and is a product of the IF Bromma Academy. DR. Olsen (DEN) is plenty good enough to be our starter, but we probably need someone to come in to offer us depth. Olsen (DEN) is going to be 1st choice DR. DC. (19) Kristoffersson (2019) is the stand-out player in this position and while we have a few options, there is certainly scope for bringing in a starting centre-half. (19) Kristoffersson (2019) is one of the few players at the club who is 1st choice in his position and also a product of the Academy. MC. Wow. Certainly a lot of bodies in the midfield area and there also seems to be some quality. Finndell is another product of the IF Bromma Academy and Edvardsson look to be Playmakers considerably better than what I had available at IF Bromma. Ramadani (ALB) is the club captain and offers some steel and athletic ability to the already mentioned technique. That being said, there doesn't seem to me much quality coming through so I might continue the strategy of poaching youngsters from IF Bromma, (because there were a few decent midfielders that came through the Academy while I was there). Jonsson is the highest valued player at the club, (£1.3M), but he is very much and AMC rather than a MC or a SC or even a wide player. I will look to sell him and re-invest the money elsewhere. Finndell is another product of the IF Bromma Academy and he will likely be joined in the starting line-up by Ramadani (ALB) when everyone is available. ML. Backman looks to be an improvement on anything I have had in this position before, (and is a lefty too), and while I don't particularly like Myhrvold (NOR), he can certainly do a job. The only problem I can see with Blackman is that despite the fact I will only be playing him on the left, his PPM is going to possibly cause problems. MR. Johansen (DEN) is the only proper senior right winger at the club. I will either bring someone in or play someone out of position when needed. SC. It might be an indication of high PA, or a position that I want to play a player in, or it might be that I am re-training him in a new position or a new PPM or it could be mentoring tracking. I've also been known to track bids on players. The way I usually play I know everything about each player because I never move clubs. Because I am moving so regularly in this save it's hard to remember anything. At the moment I know more about IF Bromma than I do my new club. I'm at work and I cant even tell you the name of the club without looking it up. Djurgardens or something like that. 😂 [Edit] I was right.
