kidthekid
Really fantastic season. You were unfortunate with the Europa league, especially having battered them. On the bright side, you are closer and making improvements each season.

scarp
August 2037 Not the best start if I am honest. Especially both home games should have been wins. I will meet my old side Basaksehir but this group looks very doable. New stadium baby! Transfers I decided to sell Farias as 30mil is a lot of money to us and I believe we can replace him easily + it frees a foreign spot in the team. Xavier Hubert also goes. On the other hand we signed a lot of players - Salinas and Orquera were absolute bargains and they will be in our starting lineup. Lopez went to Bremen on loan straight from the Colombia. Saiz and Dubois are here to replace Farias, Dubois is only 17-years old so Saiz will probably be the number one at the start. Cojocaru joined on deadline day to provide cover on CM position. I said no.
scarp
September 2037 Still struggling in league but we started very well in CL, even beating Basaksehir away.
scarp
October 2037 Now this is better as we beat Rennes who was 11-1-0 before our game. We only drew Nimes as El Kabir got red card inth minute though.
scarp
November 2037 We keep drawing games we should be winning.
scarp
December 2037 Good month as we beat OL and Monaco and only concede one goal in seven games. And we get Bayern in 1st KO round. Guess what, Basaksehir gets Salzburg for finishing 2nd in our group.
scarp
January 2038 Great month up until the game against OL where we just could not score and lost on penalties. Transfers Paid this guy's release clause and he should immediately jump into starting eleven (he did and injured himself in his first match).

scarp
February 2038 Perfect month as we win all eight games including games agains PSG, OM and away game against Bayern in CL. PSG and Rennes are still far away though.
scarp
March 2038 We beat Bayern at home 3-1 and advance to quarterfinals. In league we lose to Rennes as we were resting Orquera and Twajamahoro for CL and truth is our depth is not the best. This will be spicy game! scarp
April 2038 1-2 loss away at Rennes was deemed to be a good result by me with a good chance of us advancing but we lost at home since El Kabir got recard in 4th minute and since then Rennes controlled the match. We advanced to French Cup semifinals where we will face.. Rennes. And we are three points behind them in league aswell.
scarp
May 2038 We los to Rennes on penalties and that concludes our season. Our form really was poor in those last games. Overall we got closer to Rennes but we are still nowhere near PSG.

scarp
Alfredo Bennett's Universe 20-year special It's time to look how things changed (or stayed the same) in football world during last ten years. English Premier League Third in a row for Man Utd who became to most powerful force in English football, while managed by Zinedine Zidane. Huge fall from Liverpool who was not in top3 not even once in last ten years and Arsenal who managed to get there only once. Brighton takes 2nd place (and it is no tycoon!) and Wolves finished 4th this year. Huge props to Brighton's manager Valter Birsa and their season. Primera Division Six titles (and the most recent one) for Maxim Bokov's Barcelona and four for Mauricio Pochettino's Real Madrid. Atletico is usually the third one even though in 2036/37 Sevilla finished 2nd. Serie A Inter wins its second title in last ten years under the guidance of Giovanni Van Bronckhorst. Although they finished 6th last season, the most succesful team of last decade is AC Milan with four titles followed by Juventus with three. Roma got their hands on one aswell. Atalanta finished in top three spots in last three years. Bundesliga Fifteen in a row for Bayern Münich and makes it 25 out of 27 last titles. Ligue 1 Twelve in a row for PSG. Russian Premier League CSKA's last title was 7 years ago. Nowadays the most succesful club is Krasnodar followed by Spartak Moscow. Turkish Super League Twelve in a row for Basaksehir . Ukrainian Premier League Surprisingly Ukraine is not Dynamo & Shakhtar show anymore as Vorskla is currently the best team but there were five different title winners in last ten years. Champions League Rennes actually came close to winning CL as they only lost to Man Utd who's got their fourth CL title in 5 years. Europa League Brighton wins it this season but overall there are some interesting winners like CSKA Moscow, Real Sociedad, Gladbach or Everton. World Cup Fourth World Cup title from last 5 WCs for France. Interestingly Switzerland were the runners-up in 2030. World Cup 2038 is ongoing. European Championship Germany is the latest winner but Poland won in 2032 and England in 2028! England 2028: Gunn - Chilwell, Gomez, Rice, Alexander-Arnold - Boxall, Foden - Rashford, Alli, Sancho - Kane Competition reputation I really started something in Russia as they even overtook Ligue 1 Club reputation Basaksehir is 11th. Balloon d'Or World's best player is Tunisian! Leading transfers
scarp
Five years since CL trophy went to Istanbul - where are they now? Starting eleven: Tolga Adican is still with Basaksehir five years later. He has 339 apps for them aswell as 98 caps for Turkish national team. Lucelio also did not leave Basaksehir so far, currently played in 335 games for Basaksehir in which he scored 13 goals averaging rating of 7.10. He played for canaries in six occasions. Aguinaldo Muzonho left straight after the CL win (he was unhappy) and he joined Chelsea for fee of 32.5mil. He played two seasons there before Man Utd came knocking and bought him for 33mil. He only played 11 league games in 2 years for United but he won Premiership and Champions League. Last season he joined OM for the fee of 10mil and is their starting CB at the age of 33. He played in 85 games for Portugal and scored two goals. Diego Acuňa also left Basaksehir the very next season (as almost everyone). He joined Borussia Dortmund where he spend the next four years trying to catch Bayern. He's played around 100 games for BVB before being loaned to Roma for 2037/38 season. He is currently 28 years old and has played in five games for Argentinian national team. Evgeni Simeonov also joined Borussia Dortmund for the fee of 30mil. He has been one of their most consistent performance and after four succesful season Man City came knocking and bought him for 64mil. He has played 15 league games in his first season averaging 7.03 rating. He is captain of Bulgaria national team where he played in 77 matches. Maicon joined Stade Rennes for 28.5mil and has been annoying me ever since. He has played over 180 games for them averaging 7.10 rating. In his thirties he is also starting midfielder for Brazil with 46 caps in which he netted five goals. Serhat Akbulut spent three more years in Basaksehir but Jürgen Klopp did not like him as much as I did as he only featured in 35 games under him. Two seasons ago he moved to french Ligue 1 where he currently plays for Nice. The fee was 15mil. He is now their starting CM. He never played for national team as he chose Germany over Turkey (as it seems). Pablo Temperini is still with Basaksehir and is currently on 435 games and 148 goals, averaging 7.31 rating. He is 30 years old and has 42 caps for Argentinian national team in which he scored 11 goals. Angel Ischuk is still with Basaksehir five seasons later with one exception of 2035/36 loan to Milan where he played 27 games. He has 276 apps and 83 goals for the club. He is 30 years old and also member of Argentinian national team, played 45 games and scored 15 goals for them. Demetrio, currently 29 years old, is also still in Basaksehir. 414 games and 130 goals, those are his numbers. For my surprise he never featured in Brazil national team. Axel Englert joined Rennes for the fee of 25mil just after the Champions League win. They played him mostly on wing there. I just now realized that Kouyaté (Rennes attacker who is so good and always scores against me) is the guy I bought in my last season in Basaksehir where he played 7 games for me and scored 0 goals. Anyway back to Englert - he has 23 caps and 8 goals for Germany. Rotation: Armel Kayembe joined Wolves for 13mil and spend three years there providing cover for better CBs before he eventually joined Norwich for 7mil, where he provides cover for better CBs. He has 66 caps for Belgium and he scored two goals. Eric Keita is still providing depth for Basaksehir and he has over 100 games for them. He played one season for Bournemouth in PL as he was loaned out. 48 caps and 4 goals for Ivorian national team. Ömer Savun joined Fenerbahce for 3mil but he did not play much so he went on loan to Benevento and then back again to Fenerbahce. Göztepe bought him in 2036 for 800k but he has not played much for them either. Jiří Hruška is still in Basaksehir having played in 293 games and scoring 54 goals. He is still only 27 years old and he has 74 caps and 7 goals for Czech national team. Borja Sola joined Chelsea in 2033 for 17 mil. He played 22 PL games averaging 6.57 rating before moving to Athletic for 15mil. He is starting midfielder for the club. Never featured in national team. Ergin Akdemir played two more seasons in Basaksehir before moving to Leipzig for 30mil. He was their first team player for two seasons but last season he started in Frankfurt as his manager loaned him out. 41 caps, 5 goals for Turkey. Fatih Balkan played briefly for Nantes in Ligue1 before moving to Alanyaspor and later on to Kayserispor, where he is rotation player.
scarp
August 2038 Decent start but I am starting to really, really hate Rennes. Wait, is this for real?! This will be fun. Transfers My problem last season was an attacker that is not scoring goals. I was trying to find someone for under 20 millions who was better than my current and I just could not find any. In the end I decided to go for Norberto Rey but that brought up another issue - I can only play four foreigners, so one had to go. Now it gets funny - I accepted offers for both Dominguez and Secondo for around 35mil and they both decided to opt out and stay in Red Star. That never happened to me before (or I did not notice). Anyway I just had to get rid of one of them so after months of negotiating I sold Dominguez for only 18mil to Gladbach. I also sold D'Errico to Juventus for 20mil as he is no longer starting for us and he wanted even bigger wages. On the other hand I brought Rey, Miguel Merino from Bilbao to replace Dominguez and then Pedro Sierra from Real Madrid for our record fee.

scarp
December 2038 So we lost on Old Trafford but we tried to play offensive football and I am kind of happy. In league we showed in great month beating OL 5-2 and Monaco OM 8-0. We also advanced to Coupe de la Ligue quarterfinals after beating AS Monaco. You can notice new name inbetween the goalscorers - Xavier Davis is 17-years old wonderkid whom I've just bought from Rennes (and could register straight away). League looks way more even than usually this season. There's nothing to be ashamed for. We move to European League. I may buy some appartment there already since I will be moving there sometimes in the far future. Transfers
scarp
January 2039 Fantastic month as we advance to Coupe de la Ligue finals and more importantly we beat Rennes away thanks to Xavier David! And we are top of the league at the moment! I repeat, we are top of the league! Transfers We brought in Kristoffer Illum for 10mil and he immediately became our starting CM while scoring in his first officiall game for us. Unfortunately our starting CB, Salinas, injured himself for 6 months so I decided to bring in another danish player - Danny Hartvig from BVB this time. Milosavljevic was not playing for us so I let him go for a fee of 7mil. Facilities I hope that upgrade to club's data analysis facilities will not ruin us...
scarp
February 2039 Our new signing Hartvig got injured aswell so we went to February with only three CBs (Secondo, Joel, Capoue-Nestor). We beat Dynamo Kyiv twice and advance to 2nd Knockout Rnd in Europa League. We lost 5-0 to PSG as our defense (and whole team) was in shambles, we had 5 starting player suspended for just this game + injuries, but we still should have played better! We are three points behind Rennes but we have game in a hand. Eleven rounds to go. Lets beat them.
scarp
March 2039 Espanyol was way tougher opponent than I expected. We were about to lose the game on aggrevate when Tressy (our captain that is with us from L2, but nowadays only provides cover) scored fantastic goal and sent us to quarterfinals! In league we beat all the team so we are currently first with 3 points up on Rennes. Very tough.
scarp
Coupe de la Ligue final 2. 4. 2039 20:45 Red Star FC Stadium We beat Rennes and we can celebrate our newest piece of silverware! On our own stadium aswell!
scarp
April 2039 We started the month with a win in league cup final against Rennes and continued against Arsenal in EL quarterfinals. We beat them away and then at home we just controlled the game and played out a 2-2 draw. Unfortunately we only drew against OL so it is only one point between us and Rennes at the moment. In Europa League semifinals we are facing Tottenham and we beat them 2-0 on their stadium in first leg. Four games to go in league.
scarp
May 2039 We started the month with a loss in French Cup to OL and then we played Tottenham in EL. THAT WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS OF FRANCE!

I'll be honest, this game was kind of easy, we let Liverpool control the possession but they never got the chance to enter our box and we scored easy goals from quick counters. Just a reminder that Xavier David is 18 years old and he joined us in december.

scarp
July 2039 Good pre-season followed by a win in French Supercup thanks to Rey's hattrick. It is actually nice that suspensions carry into this as the game essentially does not mean anything to me. Transfers So far it was very quiet transfer window. We only sold Atangana and bought one future star Jamrozik and Pavlov who might or might no become our first goalkeeper choice. By the way, PSG is not in CL this season if you have not noticed yet. scarp
August 2039 We started the league very well but we were struggling defensively. What a memorable night at Old Trafford as we beat Barcelona 4-1 in European Super Cup! Rey is really on fire so far. Too bad we lost to Rennes. Way easier than last time. Transfers Secondo was pissing me off those last few years and I decided to sell him after his poor performance in first games of the season. Espinoza comes as his replacement from Galatasaray and we made a 13mil profit out of this exchange.

scarp
October 2039 Unfortunately Rey injured himself for 2 months and David had to step in and move from winger to forward position. scarp
November 2039 We beat both Fenerbahce and Shakhtar and advance from our group in CL. Constantine
It's getting easy now... One or two seasons and France is done.

Mhm, I might stick around a bit longer if I win CL this time - probably one more season to win World Club Championship and try for back-to-back titles. I really like the team. 39 minutes ago, Johnny-Trotter said: Very prescient of him in fact... Yeah, I owe him an apology.
scarp
December 2039 We destroyed Borussia Dortmund on our own stadium but then we lost to Monaco in league. We are still first in league table but Rennes is only two points behind us. PSG is fifth (did we destroy them?!). This should be okay.

Yes, I have no idea how is it possible but I have been loving it.
