April was absolutely perfect, and the league was clinched in hammering Las Palmas.

1950343354_Apr2029.thumb.PNG.a4a589107798701eb686a5fb3229da47.PNG

The gap now stands at 19 points. I'm not sure it isn't a chasm rather than a gap

1945877753_Apr2029table.thumb.PNG.9b807faa48300b2267be08bf1dbe50aa.PNG

and with two games to play in the league, plus the Copa del Rey, there are still things for us to play for:

An unbeaten season (we're only 2 games away, so I can think about it now with the title already won)

The La Liga points record (it's currently 100, so we need 1 more win to break it)

The domestic double. We face Celta Vigo in the final

Now that's a quality season!

Agreed, but gutted we were denied the whole season unbeaten by a red card after 2 minutes. Feel that my decision not to go defensive was vindicated as we fought back from 5-1 down and very nearly got a draw

We went through September unbeaten

557762532_Sep2029.thumb.PNG.889324bce505947d9bfdca568b7a9e07.PNG

but we were 3-1 ahead against Real Madrid, and Espanol scored with their only shot of the match (not even only shot on target, but their only shot) to take the lead, and it took until 6 minutes from time to equalise. The table now looks like this

104906295_Sep2029table.thumb.PNG.b667330f5ddbc719b827f58cfbff3101.PNG

although we did get off to a positive start in the Champions League, and we're top of our group, with a trip to Anfield up next

Losing the final game was very harsh.

And Bayern what were they thinking. A manager who has just provided a 101 point season...or Rafa Benitez. Yeah ok!

I was gutted to lose it, but delighted with the way the players fought back to make the score respectable. To be fair, Benitez has done really well over the course of this save, he's won all of this since the start of my career

Rafa.thumb.PNG.2c52e949b13c52d6ada9b0833be0b21a.PNG

I can't really blame them for opting for virtually guaranteed success

Jesus he actually won a trophy with Newcastle. I withdraw my original complaint.

May wasn't as good as I'd hoped, as we came up short against Sociedad, but we won the Copa del Rey

and the win over Athletic Bilbao means we also secured the La Liga title again

Right, time to round up the season just gone, and it's La Liga awards time, starting with the Goalkeeper of the Year, our very own Edouard Petit

1145589261_GOTY2030.thumb.PNG.51515aac4d37e9206328ea15ba874115.PNG

Player of the Year was Fernando, also one of our players

1946120265_POTY2030.thumb.PNG.cb78306895f7957842b4842522f47dcf.PNG

None of our players made the top 3 in the Golden Boot, but Pau Gil did in the Top Spanish Goalscorer

148460606_TSG2030.thumb.PNG.98111bc2b35d1b6775252987903fe56a.PNG

eight of our players made the La Liga Team of the Year, with two more on the bench

2058524723_TOTY2030.thumb.PNG.36ad79f7d84ab4d91993eb996b78236a.PNG

and I was named Manager of the Year

I can't believe I'm writing this, but here we go. I've applied for, and got an interview, at a club I usually swear I'll never join. There is only one reason why I'm doing it, and that is because I want to add the Champions League to my trophy collection, and the two Manchester clubs represent the best opportunity to do that right now. Jose Mourinho has just been sacked by United for the second time. Diego Simeone is at City, and his status is 'Very Insecure'. My hope is that this interview might push them into sacking him, and I can then join City rather than United. If that doesn't happen, and I'm offered this, I'll take it

as does right back Bisogno

Drouet is also a right back and will fight it out with Bisogno

and Chicco is a centre back

and this is the squad I'm taking into the new season

Both Glasgow teams in the CL groups..what's caused the uptick in Scottish football?

Not too sure, as I don't have the Scottish League loaded and playable. Have checked Rangers and Celtic's histories, and neither has had a tycoon or consortium takeover, but Rangers have increased the capacity of Ibrox to 120,000, which can't be doing them any harm. Internationally, Scotland have made the quarter finals of the last two World Cups (2026 and 2030), they won Euro 2020 and were finalists in Euro 2028.

September wasn't great, as we failed to win either of our away Bundesliga games2101113719_Sep2030.thumb.PNG.6e78058edc33f64811d362609c7cf14b.PNG

which saw us lose top spot, and with the start Dortmund have made, possibly the title already

At least our Champions League group is going to plan
