2021/22 Pre-Season

Very short pre-season and we're through to face Icelandic champions FH in the 2nd qualifying round.

A hell of a lot of movement, quite a few first team players have left, hopefully the replacements can live up to expectations, Andras makes a temporary return! :D

PSG, runners up in 2 of the last 3 Champions League Finals and Tottenham winning last seasons Europa League. Ouch.

Absolutely unbelievable. 62 league games unbeaten and this challenge is getting a lot harder with the fact that we're now good enough to get out of the Champions League groups, our run should be over now since we face Barcelona in the 1st Knockout Round.

We're not going to get many better seasons than this, 31 points clear, over 100 goals scored and we only dropped 5 points all season!

Just an FYI, your HOYD does not influence the quality of your youth intake. He does have an impact on regen personalities and positions (i.e. one with an attacking style will have a greater chance of good attacking players coming through your ranks). Youth intake itself is influenced by youth facilities, quality of u18 coaches (I thought) and youth recruitment level. Junior coaching influences the CA of players coming through.

@Jimbokav1971 has done some great writing over the past few years on what affects the youth intakes, although I can't quite remember what the eventual findings were on what affected it.

Slovenia were part of Yugoslavia who were runners up in 1960 and 1968, I've made all the countries with out-of-the-box leagues eligible that were part of Yugoslavia.

Perfect result for us in Europe! We lose out thanks to head-to-head with Barcelona, we scored 2 in our away match, they scored 3 in theirs, this puts us in the Europa League where we'll face CSKA Moscow, not the easiest of sides to face but at least it's better than Arsenal, Dortmund and AC Milan. In the league things are going great and we've conceded just 6 goals so far!

And so it ends. Former Wolfsburg, RB Salzburg and RB Leipzig boss Bruno Labbadia is clear favourite with Partizan's Mladen Lambulic and PSV's Giovanni van Bronckhorst not far behind.
