Makoto Nakamura
Elgin bossed the Highland League and then lost to Brechin City who got 25 points from 36 games and finished 13 points away from 9th placed Cove Rangers in League Two... Makoto Nakamura
Big news, we have sold our first player! For actual money and stuff!!
Makoto Nakamura
2041/42 Pre-Season We lost against all the big teams but pretty good performances. Same expectations but this season is going to be a lot tougher with Brechin and Elgin being in the league, Brechin spent the 2027/28 season in the Championship, and now they're here. We made money!
Makoto Nakamura
August 2041 Perfect start again and as per usual we're behind Elgin. Shockingly Brechin find themselves bottom of the table early on.
Makoto Nakamura
September 2041 A draw in the league but we stay 2nd, we came back from 2-0 down against Penicuik after they'd scored 2 penalties in the first 6 minutes and if we get past them then we face Cove Rangers in the 2nd Round.
Makoto Nakamura
October 2041 A defeat in the Scottish Cup but I'm still happy the result. Mixed in the league with 1-1-1 but we fall to 4th although the league is wide open so early on.
Makoto Nakamura
November 2041 A really good month barring the surprise defeat at home to St. Ternan but with the league being so much closer this season we're in 3rd but only 1 point from 1st, also only 1 point from 5th though.
Makoto Nakamura
December 2041 Another mixed month but we're up to 3rd, unfortunately we're 6 points off of Buckie Thistle though. Brighter in the Highland Cup as a good 2nd half showing sees us through to the next round.
Makoto Nakamura
January 2042 An easy win over Peterhead in the North of Scotland Cup and just the loss to Fraserburgh in the league and we're down to 4th but only 4 points off the top now so at least we're closing the gap, Elgin are in great form though so is it time for them to take the league by storm again? More players leaving in January.
Makoto Nakamura
February 2042 A great month! We're through to face Fort William in the Highland Cup Final and we'll be facing Elgin City in the North of Scotland Cup Semi-Final. In the league we;re up to 2nd but Elgin are on a very good run of form with 10 games to go.

Makoto Nakamura
March 2042 5 games to go and Elgin are 8 points clear, looks like we're going to have to settle for 2nd or 3rd again, hopefully no lower than that. We managed to beat Elgin in the North of Scotland Cup Semi Final and we win some silverware with our first ever Highland League Cup!
Makoto Nakamura
End of Season 2041/42 Another 2nd but this is our 2nd best points total in the Highland League, one short of the 66 points we finished on when we won the league...6 seasons ago. May be time for another clearout, Craig Gormley, the record appearance maker didn't make a single appearance this season so it looks like it's finally time for him to go. Both Jordan and Kevin at the heart of defence could be on their way out too, Overall Best XI: 2041/42 Best XI: Steve Farquhar (YP22g) Jordan Donaldson (YP17l) - Kevin Cowie (YP15n) - Liam Watt (YP23g) Derek Munro (YP20a) Bobby MacPherson (YP21a) Ally Cunningham (YP22f) - Gordon Cormack (YP22i) Gordon Stevenson (YP22a) - Phil Polworth (YP22e) - John Begg (YP24d) Edited September 19, 2017 by Makoto Nakamura
Makoto Nakamura
As a comparison here is the Elgin Best XI Brian MacLeod Stuart Moffat - Scott Scott - Ryan Kerr - Scott Murphy Jamie Robertson - Darren Murray - Martin Macleod - Thomas Murray - David Jackson Jamie Kerrigan They lost in the Semi Final again. Wavelberry
It took me five years to get out of the Highland league as there was always one team running away with it. The year I went up it was on goal-difference on the last day to Buckie. The league is a glorious slog just don't **** up the playoffs.
smp20
Wow what a slog! So much patience and determination. Good to see the crowds are developing. Personally I think you should be on more than £190 p/w to endure this

Makoto Nakamura
2042/43 Pre-Season Poor pre-season but we drew against Hearts The wage budget is the lowest it's been in a while, as is our current spend but expectations are the same and with another exodus of players our oldest player is now 22. And here's how we line up for the first game. Edited September 19, 2017 by Makoto Nakamura
Makoto Nakamura
August 2042 Another perfect start in the league as well as an early exit in the Petrofac Training Cup.
Makoto Nakamura
September 2042 Decent enough draw away to Peterhead and a big win against East End in the North of Scotland Cup.
Makoto Nakamura
October 2042 Solid month in the league and we hold on to 1st for now we scrape past Buchanhaven Hearts in the Highland Cup and hopefully we can get past Hurlford and avoid an upset.
Makoto Nakamura
November 2042 We lost out in the Scottish Cup, turns out Hurlford aren't as small a side as I'd expected, at least we still have the North of Scotland Cup. We've been poor in the league but we're still doing well enough to be just a point behind Elgin.
Makoto Nakamura
December 2042 A terrible month where we lose to 1st and 2nd and we're out of the Highland Cup, we're now 7 points off of 1st. Makoto Nakamura
January 2043 An up-turn in form sees us in 4th, we were in 7th after the Inverurie Locos defeat but we're just 4 points off of 1st, we need to hit some good form and capitalise on this. Makoto Nakamura
February 2043 9 games to go and I want Buckie Thistle to lose and we'll be just a point off the top, please let this be the season because it's currently a 4-way race. Makoto Nakamura
End of Season 2042/43 Our worst finish in 7 seasons, even with our regular points total of 58/59 we would have finished 4th, next season we bring back strikerless, but first I'll try testing the tactic which @Nottingham Forest is using, just to see if that works. The front 3 are being retrained regardless so we'll see how, or if they contribute. Overall Best XI 2042/43 Best XI Steve Farquhar (YP22g) Liam Watt (YP23g) - Bob Thomson (YP20c) - Steve Graham (YP22d) Derek Munro (YP20a) Bobby MacPherson (YP21a) Ally Cunningham (YP22f) - Jack Munro (YP25c) Neil Cameron (YP25j) - John Begg (YP24d) - Phil Polworth (YP22e)
Makoto Nakamura
2043/44 Pre-Season Decent enough other than the Man City U23 loss. Predicted 2 places higher now. We're down to 32 players in the entire squad. Here's the lineup for the first competitive game, we're missing key MC Ally Cunningham through injury. metallimuse
I've never seen a club be bought and sold with the frequency that Shetland has. Truly unbelievable. I think in all my years playing FM (which is easily over 10) I've only been at a club once that's been bought out. I then got sacked for their own man 3 games later despite winning my games...not that I'm bitter at all or that it still grates on me.
