For all fans of Sheriffs vs Bandits... I bring to you Angels vs Demons!

Hi guys,

So what might seem like a lifetime ago to some of us, an experiment called Sheriffs vs Bandits was born. It was an experiment that altered a number of players and 2 teams to demonstrate just how they would perform in comparison when given extreme values of data.

It was both informative and really fun to follow. Unfortunately the creator eventually stopped updating, and it never really got going again. My aim is to bring you guys a similar sort of experiment, it will follow the same principles, and I think it will be really interesting to see how the match engine has changed compared to the past, and how the AI now interprets the extreme values of data.

My aim at the end of this experiment is to have followed all players in retirement. I will make the final season the season that the final player retires.

So, without further ado, here are the things we fill be following –

1.    22 Individual players. What do I mean by individual? Well, I don’t want to do a generic flat 20 across the board stat edit and see how people perform.  I want to customise our players, to add some “Personality”. For example, why have two identical strikers when we can customise ourselves a short fast and tricky striker, and a powerhouse beast! It will allow us to see how the match engine values certain stats. I will however, have two sets of 11 players. Two players for every position, with each one having almost identical stats to its mirror. The difference will of course be in personality, on one hand the Angels will be loyal, honest, hard working professionals. Whilst the Devils will be as dirty and problematic as they come. Players will enter the game at 200 CA at age 14. Every player and its mirror will be given a nationality from the top 11 reputation nations. They are all fierce supporters of their club and idolise their manages, whilst simultaneously having the opposite feelings for their rival club/manager.
2.    2 Teams. The Angels and The Demons (replacing the lowest reputation teams in the North and South Conference, and given the same reputation to start), both blessed with customised stadiums, and generous sugar daddies. With a few customisation to give them a “Good” and “Bad” feel.
3.    2 Managers! You can’t have Angels and Demons without God and Devil right? So we will also be following two highly talented managers. Both with their own “Good vs Bad” rivalry.
4.    In order to maintain some level of immersion, I will also update with league tables for Premier League, La Liga, Bundesliga, Serie A and any other league that any of our players/managers are involved in. I will also provide winners of major trophies, both international and domestic. Also awards will be included to!

Phew! So that’s what we’re covering. So what next? Well… Let’s take a look at our creations!

Angels – Founded in 2017, they are located in Heaven. An incredibly attractive city with a population of over 2,000,000 people and beautiful sunny Brazilian coastal weather. They play the football in the Stadium Garden of Eden, with freshly laid grass, 5,000 seats (with expansions possible up to 200,000) and the latest in stadium technology and pitch recovery techniques. They also prefer to play their football on a nice, large pitch. Their supporters are ideal fans, although passionate they are fiercely loyal and patience when required.

Demons - Founded in 2017, they are located in Hell. A place which although no-one really wants to be, still has a population of over 2,000,000 people and freezing Lapland weather. They play the football in the Stadium Satans Pit, a horrible sand covered mess with 5,000 seats (with expansions possible up to 200,000), but no additional technology, and a rapidly deteriorating sand pitch. They prefer to play their football on tight narrow pitches. Their supporters are a horrible bunch with no patience that are hardly ever pleased.

Both clubs however have the best training facilities possible, so we can expect to see some quality talent coming through.

Michael (ST) and Beelzebub (ST) – The Powerhouses – Designed to be the perfect target men, they are physically intimidating specimens who are tall, lean and strong. What they lack in speed they excel in power, preferring to blast their shots at goal and use their physique to score towering headers. They also have technique in abundance and whilst they lack flair, they do everything right

Gabriel (ST) and Leviathan (ST) – The Untouchables – The perfect offside breakers. They have speed to rival Olympic sprinters and will look to play off the last man, scoring carefully placed shots or just running it round the keeper if needed. They possess a lot of flair and enjoy trying outrageous overhead kicks when possible. 

Jophiel (LM) and Asmodeus (LM) – The Tricksters – These wingers are physically capable, but excel in tricking their way past the opposition. They will cross when needed, but also will look to cut inside and make driving runs into the box, either picking out a team mate or even taking a chance at goal themselves.

Raphael (RM) and Berith (RM) - The Roadrunners – These lightning wingers will blitz past anyone, they aim to run it down the line and swing in perfect crosses for their front men. They aren’t interested in scoring for themselves, but instead their game is dedicated to making life hell for the opposition full backs and putting the ball on a plate for the strikers.

Uriel (DMC) and Astaroth (DMC) – The Beasts – These giant physical specimens are the warriors of midfield, designed to break up play and spray the ball to more attack minded team mates. They dictate the tempo of the game whilst using their physical prowess to blast shots from range and bully the opposition midfield.

Samael (AMC) and Verrine (AMC) – The Visionaries – Playing between the midfield and strikers, they will look to take on their midfield adversaries and play creative killer balls in behind the defence. They also possess the ability needed to carve out their own opportunities through creative dribbling and deadly long shots.

Sandalphon (DL) and Gressil (DL) – The Over lappers – Speedy and fearless, they are strong in defence but love to run up the wing and provide assistance in attack. They’ll get forward whenever possible and look to whip in accurate crosses for their forwards.

Ophanim (DC) and Sonneillon (DC) – The Shields – Physically imposing and uncompromising, getting past these guys will require exceptional speed or pinpoint passes. They’ll also look to stick to their man and dive into tackles, making life hell for any strikers who dare touch the ball.

Seraphim (DC) and Carreau (DC) – The Safeguards – Incredibly quick off the mark, they will mop up any balls behind the back and snuff out any strikers whose pace is their main attribute. They don’t commit to challenges, instead relying on their pace to snuff out any danger.

Malakim (DR) and Carnivale (DR) – The Opposers – Choosing the guard the wings rather than run down them, they will play more defensively and look to deny any space down the wings.

Chayot (GK) and Belias (GK) – The Walls – The final bastions of defence, if it’s saveable then they’ll save it. If its unsaveable… they might save that as well. 

God (Angels Manager) – God is everything you would want in a manager. He has perfect knowledge of the game and won’t cause any problems. He is known to treat his players fairly and chooses not to drive them too hard, knowing that a decent level of training mixed with words of encouragement is all he’ll need to get results. He’s known to enjoy casual attire and sit quietly in the dugout as his plans come to fruition. 

Devil (Demons Manager) – Devil isn’t exactly your ideal manager. Although his knowledge of the game is on par with God it comes with a price. He scoffs at the idea of loyalty, and is in this game to advance his career as fast as possible. His player are mere tools, and he will drive them to the brink of exhaustion to get what he wants. When the match kicks off you can expect to see the smooth talking suit wearer to parade the touchline and let everyone know what he is thinking.

Both out managers of course have an intense and permanent rivalry with eachother. I don’t expect they’ll be sharing a glass of fine red after their games.

So there ya have it! So what next? Well, now we wait for me to run a season and write it up! I’m going to do write ups from 1st July to 1st July each year. So basically write ups will commence with transfers and such and end with the final tournament of the summer.

Ok guys I had some time to today to do a nice write up! A little word before I start, if anyone is enjoying this don’t be afraid to write and leave comments. I wanna do a big long series for you all but of course part of this experience is knowing that a nice number of people are invested in it if you know what I mean! 

Anyways, on to the update

 

Preseason was full of activity for both clubs with many free transfers in and out, but despite the luxury budget of a sugar daddy no money was spent. With no impactful signings made, the clubs seasons would be revolving around the Angels and Demons themselves.

The season kicked off in predictable style for our Angels and Demons. Both clubs got off to huge winning streaks, with the Angels not conceding a goal for the first 7 games. The Demons had a slightly less impressive start, drawing a couple, and conceding a goal or two in most games. This was mostly due to the absurd number of high red cards they would receive, with ELEVEN sending offs in the first 5 matches. Seems like the extreme nature of their aggression and dirtiness mixed with horrible personal attributes really has a dramatic effect. But still the quality of the remaining players would get them the results they needed.

By the time the new year rolled round both clubs were sitting pretty at the top of their respective tables. The Demons incurred their first loss (ironically in a game where no-one was sent off), but both teams were going strong. The Angels had amazingly only conceded in one game, and with both teams destroying all opposition in the FA Trophy it was inevitable that they would collide in the tournament for our first head to head between the fierce rivals.

The Angels travelled to the Stadium Hell to visit The Demons on their notoriously rough pitch. Demons were missing several key players due to suspensions and it showed in the game. The Angels had the advantage from the offset, and after 17minute Raphael jinxed past two players and slotted in a tidy finish. At 26mins Uriel scored a fantastic 25 yard screamer, which caused tempers to flare a little after. It wasn’t long before Carnivale simply had enough and committed a two footed lunge which got him a straight red. Things would get worse before the break when Uriel scored another belter from outside the box. The half time whistle blew at 0-3 and the Demons regrouped to see what could be done in the second half.

They tightened things up at half time but still it was not enough to stop The Angels. Murrey Rowe (a new signing) scored a close range finish at 73minutes, and 2 minutes later Jophiel scored a fantastic solo run. Afterwards the Angels took their foot off the gas and let the game play out with no event. The finals score was 5-0 to the Angels, their first venture to Hell was a successful one.

The result didn’t impact the rest of the Demons season too much, despite a defeat in their next game they went on to win their last 10 games of the season without conceding a single goal. The Angels followed suit, amazingly conceding in only two games the entire season, and winning every single game they played.

A successful start for both teams for sure. God and The Devil will both be pleased as they enter the Vanarama National League next season, however with multiple big clubs sniffing around their players, the question will be who can they keep, and who can they sign to keep up their success?

Manager Report: God

A perfect season for God. With 50 wins in 50 games, and 9 Manager of the Month awards with a Manager of the season to boot, he won everything possible. With several of his Angels been poached can he keep up the incredible stats?

Manager Report: Devil 

All in all a great season for the Devil, despite his disappointing head to head with the Angels, his first season ended in a promotion and league victory. He won 6 Manager of the Month awards and a Manager of the season. Once again he will face the same problem as God, so his true management skills will be tested in the upcoming seasons.

Player Report: Michael (ST)

31 goals in 26 games and City came calling. He went on to score 6 goals in 12 games for the Manchester giants, unfortunately City were pipped to the title by Arsenal. But Michael will be hoping a full season at Manchester can show his real value.

Player Report: Gabriel (ST)

After scoring 51 goals in 25 games Gabriel caught the attention of premier league giants Arsenal. Although he failed the score in his Premier League starts he managed 5 goals in 6 continental appearances. It was a quiet start to his career at Arsenal, but a promising one.

Player Report: Jophiel (LM)    

21 goals and 29 assists in 50 games proved a great season for our wonderkid winger. As of yet no big clubs have made their move, but it can surely only be a matter of time.

Player Report: Raphael (RM)

40 assists and 18 goals in 50 games. Our dedicated winger did his intended job of continuously whipping in crosses for his comrades. Once again no interest from our big clubs…. Yet!

Player Report: Uriel (DMC)

Our midfield giant had 17 assists and 29 goals in 48 games. A great season which has two clubs fighting over his contract. PSG are tempting back to his home country, but City are looking to hijack the deal with a lucrative offer of their own.

Player Report: Samael (AMC)

With 25 goals and 23 assists in 48 games, our attacking midfield genius has attracted the attention of Italian giants Juventus. Could he prove to be the next big thing in Serie A?

Player Report: Sandalphon (DL)

A great start to the season saw City come knocking early. He joined them in the new year and managed to make 10 appearances, providing 3 assists and earning himself 4 MotM performances. A great start to his City career!

Player Report: Ophanim (DC)

With 7 tackles won per 90 minutes and a rating of 9.03 on average. Arsenal couldn’t resist plucking another Angel, although he has yet to start a game, a promising career surely lies ahead for our young star.

Player Report: Seraphim (DC)

Our pacey defender won 6.77 tackles a game and had an average rating just below 9 per game. His performances caught the eye of Manchester City who are currently putting together an offer for our young starlet.

Player Report: Malakim (DR)

22 Assists, 7.24 tackles won per game and an average rating just shy of 9 our more defensive minded right back had a fantastic season. No interest yet, but it can only be a matter of time.

Player Report: Chayot (GK)

47 clean sheets in 48 games looks fantastic on paper for Chayot. In reality his average rating of 7.45 a game meant he probably spent large bulks of that time watching the action from afar as the Angels run riot. No interest from any big clubs either, he may need to do a bit more to get noticed.

Player Report: Beelzebub (ST)

24 goals in 27 games for our Powerhouse striker. Although his first season was littered with offence (6 reds and 6 yellows). Rumour has it Bayern Munich have taken an interest to our troublesome striker.

Player Report: Leviathan (ST)

Similar to Gabriel, it was 39 goals in 22 games that caught the eye of Arsenal. After signing him in January he went on to score 7 goals in 8 appearances which helped propel Arsenal to title victory. Although been sent off 4 times for The Demons, his disciplinary record at Arsenal was almost perfect. Another promising start.

Player Report: Asmodeus (LM)

16 goals and 16 assists in 30 games has brought the attention of Bayern Munich. A contract has been agreed and our young demon will be playing in the Bundesliga at the turn of the new year. Interestingly enough he has already been trained to play on both wings.

Player Report: Berith (RM)

With 17 assists and 11 goals in 29 games our dedicated winger has also been snapped up by Bayern for the new year. He has also been re-trained to play on both wings. How will Bayern cope with two Demons in the same team? The talent is clear, but it does come at a price.

Player Report: Astaroth (DMC)

10 goals and 11 assists in 30 games have caught the attention of Spanish giants Barcelona. Having agreed a contract to join them in January 2018 it remains to be seen if the troublesome beast can contribute positively to an already great club, with 4 reds and 14 yellows in his first season it could prove to be a risky purchase.

Player Report: Verrine (AMC)

With 12 goals and 12 assists in 28 games, Verrine had a good season by all accounts. Although he has yet to attract any attention from Major Clubs, he may need another season to get noticed by the big dogs.

Player Report: Gressil (DL)

19 assists, 6 tackles won per game, and an average rating of 9 still wasn’t enough to attract any attention. He may get another year to ply his trade in the lower leagues as it stands, but he had one of the best seasons amongst any Demon.

Player Report: Sonneillon (DC)

With an average rating of 8.22 and 5.61 tackles won a game. The fiery defensive demon was another signing from Arsenal. Making that 2 angels and 2 demons in total. Arsenals youth scouting system seems to be amongst the best in England.

Player Report: Carreau (DC)

5.6 tackels won a game and an 8.7 average rating a game. By all accounts it was a solid season for Carreau, 9 yellows and 5 reds seems to be average for a Demon, and no-one has come calling for him just yet!

Player Report: Carnivale (DR)

With 9 assists in 30 games and an average rating of 8.19, the more defensively minded winger has attracted the attention of Juventus and Bayern. With both clubs fighting for his signature  it is rumoured that Bayern is the preferred choice of the two.

Player Report: Belias (GK)

30 clean sheets in 37 games proved another good season for a goalkeeper, however he somehow managed to pick up 3 reds and 12 yellows in this time! His average rating of 7.21 shows that once again keepers have it somewhat hard to prove their worth when not given a chance to shine. No current interest from big clubs either.

Hi guys,

Glad to see a few more people have joined the topic! Hope you’re enjoying it so far.

It was a busy pre-season for both our clubs. Despite the Angels loyalty to the club and love of their manager, the allure of top level football was too much. Ophanim and Uriel went to Arsenal, Seraphim was welcomed to Manchester United. This left only Malakim, Samael, Raphael, Jophiel and Chayot as the remaining Angels left. To counter this exodus the Angels brought in an array of talent, including old premiership name Frazier Campbell!

Demons suffered less loses, with Arsenal once again taking a player in Sonneillon, and Carreau moved to Chelsea. If you’ve lost count, that makes 8 Demons remaining at their original club. Despite their ambition and complete lack of loyalty they were not able to force any moves so they will once again be playing a season in the lower leagues. Although having not suffered as many losses, the Demons were very active in the transfer market, pulling in lots of old premiership experience, including a familiar name in David Nugent.

The season started predictably well for the Demons, winning 15 games on the bounce. The Angels, deprived the bulk of their squad, still managed 12 wins and 4 draws in the same amount of time. God had yet to taste the bitter sting of defeat, but once again found himself taking a familiar trip back to Satans Pit to go head to head with his old rival.

As always the game start in fiery fashion, and it took only 13 minutes for Gressil to see a straight red. After that Angels new signing Yaya Sanogo slotted home a close finish on 21 minutes to make it 1-0. 10 minutes later Frazier Campbell curled one in from outside the box to make it 2-0. The rest of the half was hard fought with the Demons going close twice and hitting the woodwork, but unfortunately the game would finish 0-2 at half time. The Demons once again found themselves a man down, and on the wrong end of the scoreline. As the second half kicked off the Demons found themselves on the back foot, and at 57 minutes Carnivale picked up his second yellow to see Red yet again in the heated derby. With the two man advantage the Angels pressed on and Campbell nabbed a second at 65 minutes, finishing off a nice passing move that broke the absent defensive line. On 74 minutes Beelzebub saw his second yellow for a misstimed challenge and now it was a complete nightmare for the remaining Devils. Louis Garner headed in from a corner on 79minutes, and at 86 minutes Conor McAleny tapped in from close range. The final score amazingly ended up the same as last year, 5-0 to the Angels. The Demons fans would once again go home bemoaning the lack of discipline their stars had shown.

The Angels strolled through the season, racking up win after win and by the time new year came round they had still yet to lose. But the turn of the year would bring another loss to their ranks. Juventus had seen enough, and Sameal was welcomed to back to Italy. The Angels showed incredible consistency however, and their remaining Angels and new signings would win 16 games on the bounce. Including a fantastic cup run that would see them competing for the FA Trophy at the end of the season. 

Meanwhile it was up to the Demons to prove they could recover from another humiliating derby defeat. And recover they did, winning 11 out of their next 14 league games. However there was a mass exodus in January. It turns out that Bayern had been keeping close tabs on their performances, and snapped up Berith, Asmodeus, Verrine, Beelzebub and Carnivale. Whilst Astaroth joined Barcelona. This left only two remaining Demons for the rest of the season. However this did not deter them, their summer signings steadied the ship and the wins kept on coming, they won their next 8 games before finding themselves head to head with their old rivals once more. 

Travelling to the Garden of Eden for the first time, The Demons and Angels were already a much transformed club from just one year ago. It was the Angels who would rule the first off, once again pressing the Demons back. Campell went close with a header that shaved the bar, and Jophiel whipped in several crosses that just missed their mark. Malakim and Raphael were tearing up the right flank but Gressil was having the game of his life, making several key challenges. At half time both teams went in 0-0, the best performance the Demons had managed yet. The second half started slowly, with no notable chances, it wasn’t until the 75th minute that Gressil made one strong challenge too many and picked up a second yellow. He had done an excellent job stopping two Angels running riot down the right wing, but now Belias would be the only remaining Demon left.  As expected the Angels turned up the pressure, and Belias made an amazing string of saves in the final moments, as Campbell looked odds on to score he made a fine fingertip save onto the post and then smothered the rebound. The final whistle blew shortly after and the Demons breathed a collective sigh. 0-0, their first points taken from the Angels.

Following this head to head both clubs smashed the rest of the season, and the Demons fine cup run meant that they would be seeing the Angels in the FA Trophy final. The Angels and Demons fiercely contested top spot for the rest of the season, but neither of them would relent. In the end only goal difference could separate the two. The Angels superior score lines meant they ended up sitting pretty at the top of the table once again undefeated, forcing the Demons to fight in the playoffs for promotion, and fight they did. A 5-1 aggregate victory over Morecombe took them to the play off finals where they narrowly beat Barrow 1-0, with new signing Anthony Grant picking up the man of the match and only goal.

Promotion for both clubs was secured, all that remained was deciding who would lift the FA Trophy.  The Angels started on the front foot and at 20mins Fraizer Campbell was given acres of space inside the box, but was unable to get a shot off and the chance was gone. The Demons struggled to get out of their half and it took until 35mins for their first shot on target, a speculative effort  from 25 yards. 40mins in and Raphael almost scored a wonder goal, dribbling past 3 players only to have his shot palmed away by Belias. Halftime score was 0-0, but The Demons needed a plan B. As the second half kicked off it was more of the same, the Angels poked and prodded but were met with stubborn resilience, unable to carve out a meaningful chance. However at 69 minutes the breakthrough occurred, Campbells pot shot from outside the box fell to Conor McAleny who slotted home, the Demons found themselves behind once more. The Angels resumed control of the match and despite a late rally from The Demons, Chayot was only tested the once from 25 yards. The finale score read 1-0, and the Angels were triumphant once more.

Despite the dominance of the Angels over the Demons, both teams can look back on a successful season. League 2 football awaits, and the two clubs would be locking horns for another season.

Another incredible season for God. Having not yet lost a game in 2 full seasons speaks something of his management skills, although he has had a talented club to help him, the test now lies in how he performs with almost all his original squad gone. He won 6 manager of the month awards and manager of the season.

Manager Report: Devil 

 

Another fantastic season for Devil, although losing out to his rival it’s worth mentioning he only lost 3 games the entire season, two of which were to The Angels of course. On top of that he won 3 Manager of the month awards and was runner up Manager of the Year. Once again he will be tested next year with a vastly different squad!

Player Report: Michael (ST)

 

Michael had a fantastic season for Manchester City. Off the back of some fine performances last year he was granted an almost guaranteed first team spot, scoring 13 goals in 26 league games, and a total of 24 goals in 38 games total for the year. He was featured in every FA Cup game for City and was a consistent performer who contributed heavily to their FA Cup victory, earning his first major honour. He also had a fine EFL cup run, helping City to a finals where they would unfortunately lose 2-1 to Manchester United.
During the year he was awarded Premiership player of the Month for February, and on the international stage got his very first cap in a friendly against Bulgaria, taking only 6 minutes to score his very first goal. A great season overall, and City fans will surely be looking forward to what he can accomplish next year.

Player Report: Gabriel (ST)

 

Gabriel wasn’t considered as vital to the team as his former Angel strike partner, however he proved just as effective. With 8 goals and 4 assists in 16 games, he had a tally of 16 goals in 25 games overall. He was a definite contributor in a season which ended up with Arsenal winning the Premier League AND Champions League, scoring the crucial winner in a 1-0 victory over Manchester United in the finals. His fine performances earned him a Young player of the Month award in October, and also Arsenals Supporters Player of the Year award. On the international stage he got his first International debut vs Hungary, scoring 2 goals in the process. With Spain recognizing the young strikers talent he has been called up to the first teams World Cup squad, an exciting summer awaits our explosive striker!

Player Report: Jophiel (LM)    

 

Jophiel is one of the few remaining Angels still at his home club. Still he had a fantastic season for The Angels, with 23 goals and 30 assists in 51 games. He was a vital component in both the League and FA Trophy that the Angels lifted this season. He won player of the month for October, January, February and April, and also Supporters Player of the Year. However since he is still playing in the lower leagues he has not attracted any international attention. So the big question remains, why hasn’t any big club picked him up yet? No clubs have shown an interest yet, but surely it’s only a matter of time.

Player Report: Raphael (RM)

 

With 18 goals and 41 assists in 53 games, Raphael was another huge contributor to The Angels success. He also ended the season with a League and Trophy medal, and his performances earned him a Player of the Month award for December and March, whilst also earning Player of the Season for the Vanarama National League. His brilliant record attracted the attention of Spanish giants Barcelona, so after two full seasons Raphael is able to leave the Angels fans with fond memories, and faces the exciting prospect of lighting up La Liga.

Player Report: Uriel (DMC)

 

Uriel enjoyed a fantastic season at Arsenal, with a rating of 7.98 throughout the season, 6.9 successful tackles a game and 13 assists in all competitions. His midfield dominance contributed heavily to Arsenals champions league victory, with ratings of 8.7, 8.5 and 8.3 in the Semi final and finals respectively. He also won Player of the Month awards for January and May. His performances have earned Uriel 3 caps in Friendlies where he put in some fine Midfield dominating performance. Despite his young age he has been chosen to represent France at this years World Cup. The question is how will our young star perform on the big stage?

Player Report: Samael (AMC)

 

Having only joined Juventus in January he was slowly eased into the first team. With 1 goal and 4 assists in 8 games he impressed whenever given a chance and was a small part into Juventus’s league victory. Unfortunately he didn’t have enough league appearances to pick up a Winners medal, however he did do enough to secure himself an Italian Cup medal with some solid performances, scoring 2 goals in Juventus Semi Final victory over Frosinone. His final performance vs Ac Milan was lacking, and he was subbed off after 50 minutes, which will surely only server our talented Midfielder to perform better. He was also capped 2 times for Italy and scored 1 goal, another nice start to an international career that got him enough recognition to be called up to the World Cup this summer!

Player Report: Sandalphon (DL)

 

Our attacking Left back had an incredible season for City. With 12 assists and 20 Motm performances in 30 league games, and 26 assists and 38 MotM performances in 57 games overall, it’s safe to say Sandolphon has an undisputed monopoly on Citys left flank. He played a vital part in City cup victory and even warned a MotM performance in the finals vs Watford. His mix of explosive forward play and consistent defensive duties earned him a Young Player of the Month award for September, Player of the Month for October and March, Foreign Based Player of the Year and Footballer of the Year. It’s not surprise Portugal recognized his talents, he played in all 3 summer friendlies with 9.8, 10, and 9.9 performances respectively. An incredible consistency that has earned him a summer call up to show the World what he can do on the big stage.

Player Report: Ophanim (DC)

 

Our defensive titan had a great season at Arsenal. With 21 league caps and a 8.86 average rating he picked up 5 MotM awards, overall in 33 appearenes he averaged a 7.47 tackles won per game and 91% pass completion. If that isn’t indicative of consistence no nonsense defending then I don’t know what is! As with his fellow former Angels he also put in some fine Champions League performances. In Arsenals narrow 4-2 aggregate win over Real Madrid in the Semi Finals he had an exceptional game in their 2-0 home victory, winning 9 out of 9 tackles, and 12 out of 12 headers, and completing 46 out of 48 passes, he earned a well-deserved MotM award. His solid performances saw him called up for 3 summer Friendlies where he performed well, and off the back of that was taken to the World Cup for the summer!

Player Report: Seraphim (DC)

 

Seraphim had a great season for Manchester United, with 21 league caps he managed an astonishing 14 MotM performances with an average rating of 8.82. Overall he played 39 games, and had 25 MotM awards and averaged 7.03 tackles won a game. His consistent performances earned himself an EFL Cup winners medal, where he had a fantastic final performance vs rivals Manchester City, completing 52 out of 54 passes, winning 8 out of 9 tackles (2 being key), winning 12 out of 13 headers (1 being key) and making 11 interceptions, it’s no wonder he earned a MotM performance. Even his former teammate and superstar Michael was completely nullified by him in this final. Unfortunately he wasn’t able to replicate such a dominating performance in the Champions League which cost him his first major honour. His performanes earned him 3 Friendly caps for Belgium where he impressed enough to get called up to the World Cup squad!

Player Report: Malakim (DR)

 

Malaim had another superb season for the Angels, with 45 league caps and 22 assists, he featured in 52 games overall for a total of 23 assists, 13 MotM awards and an 8.90 overall rating. He was a consistent figure and his right wingback dominance helped the Angels to both a league and FA Trophy victory. He earned himself a Player of the Month award for April, but more importantly this was a season to be remembered for recognition. Real Madrid have snapped him up, and despite plying his trade in the lower leagues Uruguay called him up for their 3 summer friendlies and off the back of 3 solid performances have given him a World Cup call up. Incredible considering he has yet to play any top level football!

Player Report: Chayot (GK)

 

Chayot had another fine, if not uneventful, time in goal for The Angels. With 32 clean sheets in 42 league appearances, and 39 clean sheets in a total 49 appearances, the talented shot stopper maintained a 7.36 average overall. However with 0 MotM awards for the whole season, it’s safe to say he isn’t being tested much at all. Still, he played a part in their league and cup victories, adding two more trophies to his cabinet. But with no international recognition outside of U17s, and no clubs approaching him, what will Chayot have to do to get noticed?

Player Report: Beelzebub (ST)

 

Beelzebub was not deemed ready for the step up to Bayern Munichs first team, but had an impressive season in their reserve club Bayern ll. Scoring 17 goals and 7 assists in 18 games, his temperament proved an issue with 4 reds and 6 yellows in 19 games overall, however despite this once the season was over he was moved to the Bayern U19s. We’ll have to wait until next season to see how he impacts German football.

Player Report: Leviathan (ST)

 

As with Gabriel, Leviathan contributed to Arsenals amazing season. Scoring 10 goals in 13 league games, and 14 goals in 15 games overall. His disciplinary records is surprisingly good, with only 1 red card all season. Although he was only capped in 2 Champions League games, he did score a vital equalizer at Real Madrid to secure a 2-2 draw. He was awarded Player of the Month for April. He has also been capped for 2 summer friendlies, scoring in one of them. However that was enough for Spain to consider him strong enough to be called to the big stage, and he would be featuring in this summers World Cup.

Player Report: Asmodeus (LM)

 

It seems Bayern have a strict policy on youngsters, and Asmodeus too was fored to ply his trade in Bayern ll for a season. Racking up 7 goals and 10 assists in 21 league appearances, he picked up 5 red cards and 6 yellows. Despite his disciplinary record he was voted Bayern lls Supporters Player of the Year, and was moved to Bayern Under 19s at the end of the season. Brazil have yet to recognize the young wingers talents, so this would be a quiet summer of reflection hoping to have more of a first team impact next year.

Player Report: Berith (RM)

 

Another Demon who spent the season in Bayern ll, Berith managed 4 goals and 8 assists in 11 appearances. His disciplinary performances were fairly good by his standards, with only 1 red and 2 yellows. With no notable events in his season he was still promoted to Bayern U19s. He did have 1 cap for Argentina where he put in a solid 8.2 performance against England, however in an already talented national squad this was not enough to earn a call up. Berith would be yet another Demons with a quiet summer.

Player Report: Astaroth (DMC)

 

Despite only taking part in Barcelonas second half of the season, the midfield giant managed an impressive 13 league appearences, with a respectable 7.29 average rating. His overall performances were solid with 7 assists and a 7.13 average tackles won a game, however 4 reds and 6 yellows marred his season. His contribution did however earn him a Young Player of the Year award which he’ll be exceptionally happy with, and he played enough of a role to get a winners medal for Barcelonas league victory. He was also capped twice in Frances summer friendlies, and his performances were deemed good enough to be called up to this years World Cup squad!

Player Report: Verrine (AMC)

 

Verrine was another Demon who spent his season in Bayern ll, with 12 apperances and 5 goals and 3 assists he managed a solid 7.56 average rating. His disciplinary record was shocking and he was red carded 4 times, and had 3 yellows. He was still promoted to Bayern U19s, but has received no international attention yet. So far Verrine has had one of the most uneventful careers of the Demons, but what will next season hold?

Player Report: Gressil (DL)

 

Gressil had a fine season for the Demons, with 6 assists and 6 Motm performances in 20 league games he was a vital part in the Demons season. However with 6 red cards and 6 yellows, he missed a large bulk of the season. He was sent off in the Demons penultimate league game and with the suspensions added up he missed both the FA Trophy final and all promotion games. However with the Demons persevering without him he can still say he helped them on their journey to League 2. He was named Demons Supporters players of the Year, but now beings a new chapter in his career, Chelsea have come knocking and Gressil will be playing his next season of football at Stamford Bridge!

Player Report: Sonneillon (DC)

 

Sonneillon had a fantastic season at Arsenal. In 18 league appearances he managed 5 MotM awards and a consistent 8.64 rating, overall he featured in 30 games with a 6.94 tackles won a game average. His disciplinary record was not as bad as other Demons, with only 3 reds and 13 yellows overall. His consistent performances earned him both a Premier League and Champions League medal, he had an absolutely giant game in the finals against Manchester United. With 41 out of 44 passes completed, 7 out of 7 tackles won (3 key) and 10 out of 10 headers won, he made 7 interceptions and roughed up the opposition with 4 fouls, but his 9.6 peformance earned him a MotM award which former Angel Seraphim could only watch and admire. Holland came calling and with 3 great friendly performances he was chosen to feature in this years World Cup!

Player Report: Carreau (DC)

 

Carreau had a fine season for Chelsea, he was capped in 15 league games and maintained a 7.73 average rating with 4 assists and 2 MotM performances. Overall he featured in 24 games, winning 6.51 tackle a game. As with most Demons his disciplinary record was horrible, with 6 reds and 6 yellows overall. His season was unfortunately lacking in any trophies or awards, but Belgium called him up for 3 summer friendlies. Impressing in each and every one of them he was chosen to represent his country in this summer’s World Cup!

Player Report: Carnivale (DR)

 

As with all other Bayern Demons, Carnivale had a season in Bayern ll to prove his worth. With 6 assists and 2 MotM performances in 21 games, he averaged an 8.22 rating. His disciplinary record was also the best, with only 1 red card and 9 yellows overall. Despite only playing in Bayerns reserves, Uruguay gave him a chance to impress with 3 summer friendlies. He put in several solid performances and was therefore called up to this year’s World cup squad!

Player Report: Belias (GK)

 
As with Chayot, Belias is finding it hard to show his true value. Although keeping 29 clean sheets in 39 appearances, he still only averaged a 7.24 rating. He was also sent off in the penultimate game of the season, forcing him to miss out on the semi finals of the play offs. However, he did return for the final and put in a solid 7.4 performance despite only being called upon to make one save. Predictably he has yet to be capped or attract any attention, once again the question is, how does a keeper get noticed?
