Jakirola
He has just been hired to replace Arsene Wenger after he was sacked in my game!!!!!! WTF!
Barkermush
2013 on my save and he's still manager of Celtic.
AjaxNo1
Just noticed on my game Alan Shearer is manager of Arsenal
delboy69
As well as Mowbray managing Man U, I've had Mick McCarthy managing Chelsea!
SWalton
In one game I had Andy Johnson take over as england manager. He was absolutely awful, making Jose Enrique, who hadnt played for spain but had english nationality, number one left back. He didnt qualify for Euro Chaampionship or Worrld cup. dan_lcfc
Hes just taken over at Everton on mine. Ancelotti is Man Utd manager :confused:
dave byrd
He's England manager on my FM09 save after taking over from Paul Ince! Some will argue that anything is possible but seriously, there are some bizzare appointments in Football Manager at times. I'm in 2027 and here are a few of the current prem clubs and their managers: Arsenal: Tony Adams Man Utd: Paul Le Guen Chelsea: Marco Van Basten (his second stint there) Liverpool: Me! Villa: Tomas Rosicky Man City: Quique Flores Spurs: Juan Ramos Lopez Carlos Stoke: David James West Ham: Patrick Vieira Birmingham: Sol Campbell 2026/27 Table:
Dalimyr
I pinched Walter Smith's spot at Rangers and six months later he became Chelsea manager Carlo Ancelotti is Man Utd manager Wenger is still Arsenal manager, and Rafa is still unemployed after getting the sack five months ago (his replacement managed to drag Liverpool up from 15th to 12th by the end of the season, but Liverpool have yet to finish any higher than 9th in my game) Man Utd: Paul Le GuenOh God...one of the best teams in the world, managed by probably the worst manager in Rangers' history. Ty
Mowbray was appointed on mine as well, but last a measly 2 weeks in the job? Harsh. This was on 10.0 though.
Thedore
Mowbray is useless. Poor show!
flashback790
I have the worst managerial appointment in my save, Steve Bull was manager of West Brom, only lasted a season before getting sacked, but come on, he is a wolves legend, he would never manage Albion. DivineOne
In 2022 he managed Galatasaray & AS Roma after getting the sack with Celtic. ManU 's got Mancini for the last 11 years (since the retirement of SAF).
The Smudge
Mowbray ain't a bad manager. Wouldn't happen in real life but there are a lot of dodgy manager moves. Jim Magilton to Inter on my game.
Lord Rowell
Mowbray appointed at Arsenal in my game after Wenger went to Real Madrid.
Slawbawn
As well as Mowbray managing Man U, I've had Mick McCarthy managing Chelsea! Quite often McCarthy becomes a world class manager in my saves with one of the top teams in England
dakin116
Mowbray manages at Arsenal in my save. 2 Premier League titles and a Champions League not bad I say
Buttgammon
He's at Arsenal on my game too. They've won the league two or three times under him and he has made some excellent signings. Come to think of it, I play Arsenal next on there.
Delvor
Mowbry is Man U;s manager in my Reading game
FM_Spurs
lets not forget that he was recognized as a very good manager when he was the manager of West Brom, so that could be why he is so consistently successful on Football Manager games.
Tav
anyone else got this? i'm currently managing Rangers in 2012, and was trailing Celtic by a couple of points in the league:(. they won the league cup this season then i see Mowbray was installed as Utd Manager a couple of weeks later! realistic? No one will beat this - Got beat by the ***** in the CHAMPIONS LEAGUE FINAL! When i saw he was the manager i cried a little. Bad times
x42bn6
Managers have a relatively small effect anyway on the team. Mowbray's a decent manager but has no clue with defending really, and some of his tactics are weird (starting 4 strikers?!).
CrazyEastboy1
In my game I have Juande Ramos as Manu U manager, and its sweet they haven't got sight of fourth place for 4 seasons now.
Dekker2
Martin O'Neill was linked with the Man Utd job whilst at Celtic, and other than that his only achievement was some league cup success with Leicester - stands to reason that if FM world Tony Mowbray did well in Scotland, he could put himself in contention. Real world Mowbray might have to wait a little longer for the Big 4 to come calling.
