Really proud of the boys tonight, we were awesome and and took full advantage of Rosenbourg being so poor.

Thought everyone played well, Joey was superb, Sweep for the 2nd goal!

Special mention for Ash, was back and fourth like a train, would love to know what kind mileage he covered tonight.

Clearly nobody in the world better than Didier right now, MoM for me, he terrorised that whole defence.

Essien is gonna be missed alot the next couple of months, anyone know the games he will be available for between now and the end of Jan?

I'm getting a bit concerned about the ACON, its gonna make or break the title for us but atleast eveyone will be back for the knockouts of the CL.

Really glad Ballack is on his way back, we're gonna need him to step it up now. icon_mad.gif

Fantastic performance tonight, was quite worried about this since they're bloody hard to beat at their place anyway, coupled with with temperature and pitch conditions, I would have been delighted with a draw. Drogba immense as per, Sweep awesome on the second, Joey lively all night, and everyone else did well also. huffed. icon_smile.gif

Chelsea winger Florent Malouda has branded English football as "brainless" and rated players' diets as awful.

The 27-year-old, who signed from Lyon for £13m in the summer, said: "Training sessions are terrifying. They are maximum intensity, and you go flat out.

"During actual matches, it is as though everybody's brains are switched off. People play by instinct, how they did when they first discovered football."

He is amazed players can eat "whatever you like, drink Coke or anything".

players," he added.

Do you agree with Malouda's comments?

The France international has been out of action for a month with a knee injury but appears less than enthusiastic about returning for the busy Christmas fixture schedule.

He said: "I have been warned about the Christmas periods in English football. They sound terrible."

Apparently Drogba having words with management about letting him have surgery on his knee which would keep him out for around 5 weeks, whilst we want to play him up until ACoN then let him have surgery as he would be missing for us around then for a similar amount of time.

swp could have scored in the first minute, kalou hit the bar and then swp could have (and maybe should) had a penalty. something like 70% possession atm.

Bit of a rubbish game, Chelsea didn't really get out of second gear but I didn't think they could have if needed either. Sheva's header was great, open goal yes but there was great agility in it. Definite penner for me, the foul was directly in front of me about ten yards away, arms all over Alex pulling him. First home penner of the season, about time. Miller such a petulant act, bit like his manager.

For statsman, Pizarro and Kalou both hit the woodwork. MotM for me would probably be Alex, he played well, especially his distribution.

I love the JT hate \o/.

Decent game for us there, should have been all over before half time but instead made life hard for ourselves in second half by not converting our chances.

Valencia tommorrow night then, wouldnt mind seeing Ballack back for a half or so and then back in team for Arsenal at weekend as with Essien out we will need a big game player in to replace him. But not entirely sure how his fitness is going at the min bar the couple of reserve matches hes played in. Team for tommorrow I would like:

GK: Cech (if fit)

DR: Belletti

DL: Cashley

DC: Terry

DC: Alex

DMC: Maka

MC: Essien

MC: Lamps

AMR: SWP

AML: Joey

ST: Pizzaro (most likely Sheva though)

Anyone else any thoughts on the team?

Indeed, he isn't. And he's not ready for Arsenal either, he's had a half against Birmingham Res and a game against Southend Res. QPR is more realistic for a comeback. Would expect Cech to be fit though.

Valencia game needs to be a weakened team, and will be, I wanna see Hilario play because I love the guy, but expecting something like

Carlo, Belletti, JT, Ben-Haim, Bridge, Sidwell, Essien, Lampard, SWP, Malouda, Pizarro

Leaving the strongest possible available team for Arsenal to be something like

Cech, Belletti, JT, Alex, Cole, Makelele, Mikel, Lampard, Cole, Kalou/SWP, Sheva

I wanna see Kalou up front against Arsenal with Malouda and Cole flanking him, he's better as a striker than a winger and can do more damage for us than Sheva or Pizarro are currently showing. That kinda relies on Malouda being up for it, if he plays tomorrow then he needs to have the game of his life to prove his place for Sunday. Not convinced that'll happen, nor Kalou being up front, but we need a physical centre forward against Arsenal and in terms of that we go Pizarro > Kalou > Sheva in current form.

Will lose 2-0 though.

Thats right forgot about that whole fiasco. Aww well probably another reserve game this week for him, nice to see him on the bench at the weekend at least incase we need him.

And Rats I do love it \o/ (theres a little wry one for you). Not looking forward to game at the weekend much tbh, without Drogba who always seems to play very well against you's and Essien who also seems to play very well against you we will be lacking a bit of power in the team. Would be happy with a draw in both of the big 2 games.

Malouda back in the squad for tommorrow then Juni? I hope he starts playing the way he was at the start of the season instead of continuing to whinge about anything and everything.

What about January transfer window, Anelka seems to be the name popping up quite a bit, wouldnt mind him coming, great player and he seems to have calmed down since his Madrid and Fenerbache days.

I actually do love the JT hate, it's awesome. We will most likely will get massacred. Missing the strongest player in each position straight down the middle of the field in Ricky, Essien and Drogba.

Weakened team against Valencia like Juni said, but I'd rather it was:

Carlo, PF, Ben Haim, Alex, Bridge, Essien, Lampard, Makelele, Kalou, Malouda, Sheva.

Sheva not exactly going to be tired and I'd rather see Pizarro play up top against Arsenal. He's not quite the battering ram that Drogba is but he's still big enough to cause problems.

Come on the German icon_cool.gif Getting close now.
