Following my FM13 save (

http://community.sigames.com/showthread.php/320016-FM13-The-Rise-of-the-Rebels!) I had a year off from a career as I couldn't get into a save and just played around it Youth development on FM14. But now i'm back doing a European Journeyman save.

This is the setup of leagues I've chosen with a Large DB.

Setup-1.png

I've started as a Tactical manager as I tend to leave my training etc to my assistants.I have started as an Professional Footballer(Regional Level) With a Continental B Licence.I have taken over as manager of Mezokovesd of the Hungarian Merkantil Bank II (2nd Division)

My aim is to start here and head to the top of the European game.Hope you guys enjoy it.

My Twitter is @Dgear86 I may occasionally post stuff on there the rest of the time I'm just talking football, feel free to follow.

Pre-Season 2014-15

Results

Pre-season-2.png

Transfers

Transfers-2.png

Tamas Pales - 32 Year Old right back brings experience to our defence

Bence Lenzser - 18 Year Old Centre Back brought in as cover

Mate Burkus - 24 Year Old Centre Midfielder to "beef" up our midfield

Nobert Sarkozi - 21 Year Old Playmaker brought in to cover

Review

Played some bigger teams in pre-season so no disgrace. Ended with 1 win and 6 losses and brought in 4 loans to boost the squad as there is no money at all here.

Board want a top half finish so fingers crossed. Due to the small squad and lack of players I've had to go for a 5-2-1-2 formation to start with so hoping for mainly 1-0's.

Hopefully the pre-season defeats haven't damaged your morale so much as to risk a bad start to the season proper.

To be honest i don't pay too much attention to pre-season i use it for fitness and testing players, hoping a few early wins will boost morale

Interesting starting destination, any particular clubs you want to manage at some point in this save?

To be honest I usually manage in England sometimes Italy and Holland. I would like to try some other leagues, Hence the Hungary start. Wouldn't mind heading to Portugal,Greece & Switzerland for a change of pace.

A good start to the season.

We seem to have a few injuries to key men aswell so its even better.

There's no players in the U21's so long term we need to bring some youth through,

even if its just to cover the small squad.

A knackering month, tried resting the main 11 for the League games and playing fringe in the cup but with injuries and suspensions asking players to play 3 times a week took its toll come the end of the month.

Our next game is now in March so at the winter break to be 2nd and in the promotion spot is brilliant.

Out of both cups which I'm glad about! the amount of games were shocking for a small squad.

I need to sign a centre back in the window.

Not a bad start to life in Hungary. You seem to be doing better than the board expected. Is that a worry if you do 'too well' now or?

On current form I can see us challenging until the end of the season. If we go up its gonna be hard because there is no money at all in the club.

That's not good then :(. But if you don't go up this season then you might not get that chance again. At least if you go up it's a promotion and puts you in the shop window sort of.

My thought's aswell, That's why I've gone overbudget to get Espindola in to help shore up my back line.

2014-15 Season Review

Merkantil Bank II

1st - Champions

A great season to finish as champions we had a slow start and tried to throw it away near the end

but the weirdest tactic I've ever used on FM actually worked.

Magyar Kupa

2nd Round

Not too bother was actually glad to get out of the cups

Magyar Ligakupa

3rd in Group

The amount of games for a small squad was shocking so again I was glad to get out.

Top Players

George Menougong

32 Year old Shadow Striker

Top Scorer with 19 goals

Top Assists with 16 assists and 6 man of the match performances.

A brilliant season.

Can he do it again next year at a higher level?

Kornel Kulcsar

23 Year old Enganche

On loan from Haladas

17 Goals & 9 Assists

Going to try and get him back on loan again next season

Adam Balajti

24 year old Poacher

13 goals 6 assists

He completes my front 3 with the two above and the 3 of them fired us to the title

Next Season

Club

Stay up and go from there

Myself

Keep raising my profile

Overview

A great first season in my career a shock title win can't wait to see where we go from here.

Only worry is the lack of finances in the club I can't see us having anything to spend to improve the squad.

Shocked the board want Mid-table going to be hard,

hope it doesn't compromise my position by unexpected expectations.

Happy with my dealings hope the extra depth help with the cup games this year

Well done on promotion. Looks like a tough season ahead but with so many teams fighting for survival i am sure you will be fine.
Thanks I'm hoping we have enough to stay up. We aren't scoring anywhere near as much as last season which is the main issue

Hungary is always great fun - been my favorite place to manage for quite a few years now along with Austria. There's a sentiment in bringing Magnificient Magyars back :)
My first time managing here. Enjoying it but the amount of cup games early on are mental. Would also like to head to Austria at some point.

Turned down the offer as League One is not in my current career plans. It's now the winter break for 3 months at the halfway stay we are nicely positioned for the season.
