Some Guy!
Yeah... This one was a tad surprising to me in more ways than one: Probably the biggest shock of it was Pompey's incredible 5-4 win over Man City to survive! Not to mention Chelsea's relegation, last time that a big club (they came 3rd last season, they even made it to the quarter finals of the Champions League and have the World's number 2 striker in their ranks!) were on the edge they pulled out a 4-0 win to survive on the last day and came 7th the next season. Then there's the fact that Pompey conceded 111 goals and survived, then at the other end, the complete lack of competition ending with a complete walkover for my side. VonBlade
I dunno yet. Three weeks to go so I'll probably be scraping 2050 by then.

olusinho
is it me or is it odd that the 2nd lowest number of goals let in is 51?
Some Guy!
Somewhat... As I said, very little competition. Part of the problem there is that every team that put in a decent effort ended up with a massive thrashing: 2 in particular where Reading 0-5 Derby and Arsenal 0-4 Derby... Not to forget Chelsea 1-9 Derby. Come on, someone else plop a table in!
Nomis07
I would cry if that ever happened, there are so many horrible teams in that table, although 3 are getting relegated.

tomsmith1989
I found this one quite suprising. First one of the 'big 4' to appear is Arsenal down in 7th. Man Utd got relegated due to entering administration. Not as good as yours but its nice to share. http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j25/tommy_smith/FM%202008%20Scorecard/2018/May%202018/EPL.jpg
tomsmith1989
By the way it comes from a game where I put me and my mates in the database to see how we'd do. So i've basically just holidayed all the time.

TomHAVFC
How did Portsmouth concede 111 goals and survive? That's crazy.
TomHAVFC
Reading seem to be fair dominant in football manager 2008... In my game where I got to 2024 or something like that. Reading became the best team in the world with some world class regens.
Some Guy!
How did Portsmouth concede 111 goals and survive? That's crazy. Pompey had a dominant attacking (very dominant) but a pittyful defense, infact they only had youth keepers until after I played them on match day 3. Rediculous though... In my game where I got to 2024 or something like that. Reading became the best team in the world with some world class regens. Yeah, in my game Reading got an amazing Striker and Left Winger and became my biggest opposition, but they've faded a bit...
UnlikelyStory
How did Portsmouth concede 111 goals and survive? That's crazy. They were 8th in the league from goals scored with 74. Not bad for near the bottom of the table.
Some Guy!
Hope this works: http://www.downloadtaxi.com/d/1224855608 Yeah, that's the match where Pompey survived, last of the season. If you thought surviving with 111 conceded was impressive, try surviving from that half time.
