matthewsoles
I've lost count of how many times I've just arbitrarily clicked on a news item/player/link within countless FMs of the past and have laughed out loud at what comes up. Tony Adams was AC Milan manager on one of my saves, Christian Vieri was Oxford United manager on my mate's. Does anyone have any other amusing player/manager situations in their long-term saves? I saw on another thread that someone had posted a screenshot of a 57-year old Raul getting the sack from West Ham. This amused me greatly.

the blue ferret
Emile Heskey has done the rounds on mine. I made him my assistant at Chelsea, he then went to manage Leicester, Lazio, Fiorentina, Genoa, Liverpool and he has now moved back to Italy and manages Roma. Legend
matthewsoles
Actually, my own thread has reminded me of something. I joined my mate's massive save (when he was in something like 2015) to try and do a network game. I replaced Steven Gerrard as Spurs manager (!!), but it ran so slowly we couldn't play it. So I just went on holiday and he carried on with his save on his own. Apparently "I" remained there indefinitely and was so bad, they just plummeted. The holiday options I chose must have remained the same forever, so Spurs didn't bid for anyone, didn't sell anyone and nor, for some reason, was I ever sacked. I effectively ruined Spurs by not even being in control. It was quite amusing. Espcially for him, as he is an Arsenal fan.

Indran1412
Yeah, I think this is one of the issues that SI are aware. Too many retired players gets jobs in teams(big or small) without any experience at all. Can you imagine Nedum Onuaoha? is England manager in my game. He's just 36 years old, retired as a player less than a year. I hope this gets rectified in FM11.

Tom Huddlestone - Coverntry Jack Rodwell - Sunderland - Ji Sung Park, Essien, and Vermaelen have all had a go in the past! Canales - Sheffield Wednesday Rene Adler - Pompey Rooney- Birmingham (Was a coach for my England team too) Torres(My assistant at Liverpool, and now at West Ham. Also England AssMan. Was a youth coach at QPR, got made manager then got sacked on the same day) Fabregas - My former AssMan at Spurs Joe Mattock - Huddersfield Stewart Downing - Hull City Michael Essien - Wigan Now looking abroad: Genoa - Gamberini Inter - Akinfeev. Real Madrid - Jonjo Shelvey! Valencia - Iker Muniain. I don't actualy have any non english leagues loaded, so not much actually happens in the way of managerial appointments abroad. shwan
tbh .. some of names are ridiculous .. managers need to have mental skills and character .. many of names above .. have none of that and still are managing good teams ..
