DølleDøkk
Hello, and welcome to my save! This is my first try at doing something like this, so bear with me, I'm sure I will make a lot of mistakes the first times I post pictures and stuff like that . Also, Sorry for any mistakes. English is not my native language. I hope everyone who reads this will find it interesting. And with a bit of luck, it will be fun as well! My goal for this save is to take Unia Wapno, a team currently playing in the seventh tier of Polish football, to glory. First of all I'll try to climb the Polish football ladder, then we'll see where that takes us. The database can be found here: Poland 7th Tier. Unia Wapno After spending an hour looking through all of the groups in the seventh tier of Polish football (hundreds of teams) I decided on Unia Wapno. I have never managed in Poland before, so this will be exciting. The reason I chose Unia Wapno was because of the kit, the name (It's easy to spell, some of these Polish name are a real tongue twister), and that they have a okay stadium. All the facilities in the lower leagues are really bad, so that had nothing to say. Only one way to go, and that is up! Well then, say hello to Dølle Døkk, my manager in this save. I'm Norwegian, and I usually use a randomizer to get my second nationality, and I have to say, this time I got a good mix! I start this save with just the basics, and need to improve along with the team. Current Squad This is how the squad is looking at the moment. I'm sure there will be a lot of changes over the next few weeks before the league starts, but I will go over the final squad in the next update. Key players at the moment That is all for now, feel free to give me suggestions to what will make this a more interesting read!
Minuy600
Welcome to the forums So far I see no issue with your reporting. Maybe a picture of the stadium could've been nice but then again, I haven't made one either in my most recent career update. Good luck in Poland! DølleDøkk
Pre Season 2018/2019 A very good pre season has ended, and the first game of the season awaits. The only loss of the pre season was against our U18s team, a squad that currently consists of only greyed out players. But other than that, I'm very happy. I have no idea why the game against Gwiazda Bydgoszcz was so popular. You probably don't recognize a single player here, and that is because I accidently saved over the first game... Yeah, I know, very nicely done. So this is a complete new group of players, including these signings: As this is a amateur side, I will guarantee that there will be a lot of players joining (and leaving) over the season. I really need central defenders... Key players in to the first game of the season And this is probably how the first starting 11 will look like, if we don't get injuries over the next few days. The signings I have made have really boosted the squad though, as we were predicted to finnish 11th before any signings were made.

DølleDøkk
Mid Season 2018/19 The first part of this season has gone really well, and we top the league at the winter break. The games we are playing are getting tighter and tighter, and we lost the last game before the break. I really hope we can step it up a bit... We should have won that cup game, but the striker missed 3-4 sitters and then they scored on the only chance they had... The table is looking good at the moment! Since the last update I have signed three players Pawel Nowicki and Mateusz Stencel for the first team, and Karol Lewandowski as a backup. Piotr Megger, the player of the season so far, without a doubt! Now we have to wait to the second of March for the next game...
DølleDøkk
Winter Break 2018/2019 It turns out that there still are transfer windows even if we are an amateur side, and that means that other teams will try to grab our players. And that is just what happened. Our "Star" striker and the starting LB left us. But we quickly got replacements, and I hope these guys will make us stronger. And I'm on my way to the first license! We even got a youth recruitment upgrade. And speaking of youth recruitment, the first youth intake of the save happened. I guessed this would happen, almost every single player has 5* potential, but I guess thats normal at this level. Piotr Jedrzejczyk stands out though, and he'll probably get a few starts already this season.
DølleDøkk
End of the 2018/2019 Season The second half of the season was not as good as the first half, and Noteć Rosko almost caught up after winning alle their games in March and April (expect against us). The strikers I signed as a replacement for Piotr Megger did not score a single goal until the last game of the season, and that was the main reason we did not play up to our best. Damian Zak and Wojciech Klosowski was brought in as strikers in the winter break, and I can't really say that they lived up to my expectations. Best XI Awards Season Review To be honest I would have liked us to wait another season with this, as we surely will lose a lot of money the next season with this. Johnny-Trotter
Quote Wapno is Polish for Lime and reflects the large gypsum and lime deposits in the area. It probably explains the green kit. Congratulations on the first promotion and carry on the good start! I found a bit more on Unia Wapno here and here - in Polish though, so Google Translate may be your friend. DølleDøkk
Pre Season 2019/2020 A mixed bunch to be honest. A very good win against Fogo Lubon, beating them 7-1. Transfers The three first players here was all part of the starting eleven last season, and they will be missed. I have brought in replacements though, but not at the same level to be honest. And I hope I can get at least two new players before the transfer window ends. Key Players If we want to win the league, Klosowski needs to start scoring on a regular basis. And this is our best eleven, including the bench. Our best CB broke his leg in the 7-1 win in pre-season, and will be out for 6-9 months... We are actually predicted to finish at the top of the league. I have my doubts, but we will try!
DølleDøkk
Man... The transfer deadline day screwed me over. We lost all the three players that I had as key players... Got two players in that strengthen the squad, and an old friend in Piotr Megger. I did not get a replacement DM though, and that will hurt us a bit. DølleDøkk
Mid Season 2019/2020 The first half of the season has been almost perfect, without a single game lost. The best part is that we have only conceded 6 goals in total! Three of those goals we conceded in the game against the team that currently sits at the bottom of the table. We were 3-0 up after 30 minutes, then two players got sent of in the 38th and the 47th minute... We're still in the cup as well, after beating three teams that play in the leagues above us. Maciej Molewski has the best average rating so far this season. But my player of the year at the moment is Rafal Chmiel, he's been a rock in the defense! estewu
Just an odd question - do you even try to pronounce the names of your players and opposite teams when you play? I'm always curious how foreigners cope with these (sometimes extremely) hard Polish names

I'm always curious how foreigners cope with these (sometimes extremely) hard Polish names Yes, I actually try to pronounce some of the names. I worked with two men from Poland at my last workplace, and I have some knowledge of how to pronounce the names. Names of people I find the easiest, but there are some names of teams I struggle with. For example: KS Mściszewice, KS Międzyrzecze, Przyszłość Ciochowice, Przyszłość Rogów, Zjednoczeni Pudliszki and Wybrzeże Biesiekierz. And a lot more :P
estewu
That doesn't suprise me at all. There's a lot of polish disgraphs and diacritics in those names and you probably have no idea how to pronounce them and I understand that. I lived in England for few years and I was always trying to get my mates to say some harder words and they struggled a lot. The ones you mentioned are real tongue twisters, so it seams that taking control of Unia Wapno was a really wise choice Names of people are a bit easier because there's no Polish diacritics used for people's names in FM (for example Lukasz instead of Łukasz, Rafal instead of Rafał etc.). Anyways, as a Polishman I'll be following the thread to see how you're getting on. There's a long way up to the top flight and it will become more difficult as you reach III Liga (4th tier) for sure. Good luck mate!

Good luck mate! That was one of the main reasons Unia Wapno was my first choice. It's perhaps one of the easiest names in Polish football :P I've actually noticed that, I wonder if it because SI just wants to make it easier for players of other nationalities? In real life the name of people from Poland contains those "polish" letters. Błaszczykowski and Wojciech Szczęsny for example. I agree with you, the first two-three seasons seems to be the easiest in saves like these. And thanks for following!
DølleDøkk
Winter Break 2019/2020 Even though we lost five games I'm pretty happy, four of those teams play in the leagues above us, Cracovia even plays in the Ekstraklasa, the top league in Poland! Transfers Out Our striker, the player with 15 goals in 15 games left us... A huge loss, and if this season turn out like that last one we'll struggle with our backup striker. Transfers In I brought in four new players, two that will play in the first team, and two that will be backup players. No new strikers though, as I could not find anyone better than we already have. Youth Intake 2020 Pretty much the same as last year, a bunch of 5* potential players, but no one that really stands out. The one player with more that 0.5* CA is a keeper, and he will probably go straight in to the first team, as he is slightly better than our current one. In other news, Chelsea just splashed the cash for Gabriel Jesus.

DølleDøkk
End of the 2019/2020 Season This is exactly the same as last year, a very good first half of the season, and then second half comes, and we don't play up to our best. It may be because we lost our best striker, but still, we conceded more as well. In the cup we got knocked out in the Semi-Final, but I'm very happy with our performance. Beating many teams that play in the leagues above us. Jarota lost the final. Noteć Rosko, the team that finished second behind us last year, won their group as well. DølleDøkk
Pre Season 2020/2021 Another good pre season for us. Transfers In Transfers Out I need to get a striker in before the transfer window ends. We only have one decent player there. Our best CB, Rafal Chmiel was sold seconds after I took this picture... Key Players This will be a tough season, as KKS Kalisz has a bunch of good players, and only one team goes up.

DølleDøkk
Mid Season 2020/2021 This season has been better than I expected to be honest, and we top the league at the winter break. It was a quick exit from the Cup this year. Losing the second game. KKS Kalisz has been raided by a bunch of teams from the league above us (and me as well), and has lost 5-6 players that are way too good for this level. Nielba as well have a bunch of players that should play in the leagues above us. My player of the season so far. His free kick taking ability is the main reason he has 8 goals so far this season! DølleDøkk
Winter Break 2020/2021 It has been a normal winter break. The best game was actually against , a team that plays in the Ekstraklasa. They even used their best eleven at the start of the match. Transfers In No transfers out. I'm very happy with this transfer window, as we got four players that strengthen the team, and lost no one! Youth Intake I think that this shows how much we've grown over the last two years. The first two season we had almost only 5* POT players, but now we only have one. Not excatly a world beater, but he may be decent. (EDIT) Why can't I make the pictures bigger all of a sudden? DølleDøkk
End of 2020/2021 Season All the previous years we've had a worse second half of the season in comparison to the first part, this we almost copied the results from the first part. The main reason was that did not lose anyone in the transfer window. We won the league this year as well. But now we are facing the biggest obstacle yet, as we move up into the leagues where some of the teams are Professional. DølleDøkk
Pre Season 2021/2022 A pretty good pre season with only one game lost. Again, the game against Gwiazda Bydgoszcz attracts a lot of spectators. Transfers Only transfers in this time. And a lot of released players. I stole all the best players from KKS Kalisz, all three of them goes straight in to my starting XI Key Players Looks like it will be a uphill battle this season. I believe we will avoid relegation, but a long way from the top. EDIT A very late signing that I'm really happy with!
DølleDøkk
Mid Season 2021/2022 To be honest, this is almost how I pictured the results to look at the winter break. We are conceding a lot of goals, and that is the main focus now. At least we're still in the cup. My player of the season so far. Outperforming everyone in the league at the moment! I have signed a lot of players over the last month, too many to be honest.

DølleDøkk
End of the 2021/2022 Season The second part of the season was much better this year, and I hope we can continue with performances like these next season. The only teams that beat us finished first, third and fourth. I rotated a bit against Wiara Lecha in the cup game, and that did not turn out to be a good choice. Jarota won the Cup as well. We concede way too many goals. A goal difference of only +2 is not good even though we finished sixth. DølleDøkk
Pre Season 2022/2023 Almost a perfect list of friendly games! Scoring a bunch of goals and not conceding once! Now then, if we could do this in the league as well! Transfers In Transfers Out Not that much has happened since the last season, but I brought a couple of players in. On the Out side, Dominik Domagalski has left us, and that is a huge loss... Key Players It's a at least better than last year. DølleDøkk
Mid Season 2022/2023 A very good first half! We did not lose a single game. We might have a drawn a lot of games, but it's better than to lose. We're still in the cup as well. Transfers In Transfers Out I'm basically getting all the players that will strengthen the squad when they become available, and that is quite a few. The out transfers are the one I spoke about in the last post. Adam Pietrzcyk is the player of the season so far, with 12 goals and 6 assists in 21 games. DølleDøkk
Winter Break 2022/2023 Just like in the league we did not lose a single game in the winter break either. Transfers In Even more transfers. If you havent guessed it yet, I'm not looking for long term commitment when I sign players. This will change when we move up the league, when players get full time contracts. I really like to buy young talents and sell them for profit. Or keep them if they still wants to play for the team. One player I'm really happy with is Maciej Frackowiak! Youth Intake 2023 Again, I doubt anyone here will play for the first team. But, here is the best one in terms of PA. DølleDøkk
Mid Season 2023/2024 This has gone way better than my expectations, and we currently have the second promotion spot (second teams can't be promoted from this league). After that terrible October month I tought we had screwed it up, but then came November and we redeemed ourselves! Best player so far has been Mehdi Lahlafi. The CB has been rock in the back four, and has even helped us with four important goals. Three free transfers as well. Two of them has been really important so far. DølleDøkk
Winter Break 2023/2024 Two good games against Ekstraklasa sites. Both of them barely beating us.
