I have a doubt about the CPU - It's better for FM a CPU that has better Single-Thread performance or Multi-Thread? How many cores/threads the game uses properly?

Of those CPUs wich will run FM20 faster: i9-10900K or Ryzen 3900X?

The 10900k. Even the 9900k runs FM faster than the 3900X.

Might wanna take a look:

Intel all day long unless you have multiple leagues in full detail which i'm betting hardly anyone does

It very much depends on your setup

Check out the results on the benchmarking thread above

@jusinho9 beat me to it! :D

You need more RAM - 8 is preferrable on systems these days, don't know why they still sell 4 anymore.

What's your budget and does it have to be Currys?

For what its worth that would be fine for FM but you'll need to run the 3D on Medium/Low

It's good - no dedicated graphics card - but that would still be ok for FM on low-mid details for 3D matches, if you're not into the 3D match engine then it will be fine.

AS it's a desktop - you can probably insert a graphics card at a later date.

You do have a monitor/keyboard/mouse too right?

but if im thinking of streamin in the future shall i just buy a gaming pc, any advice be great.

The only diffference I see is that it has 128gb SSD. Which would mean the computer boots up faster, and general increase in performance - but it means barely anything towards FM.

For the 128gb SSD you'd need to have Windows installed on it and little else as it's quite small drive these days.

But the 1TB drive, you'd need to set that up to install FM on the larger drive, and set up your computer to download to the larger drive - all quite easily done.

About 800-900 be ok

Do you need a monitor too? I'm assuming you don't so this is what I managed on PC Specialist

Processor (CPU)
Intel® Core™ i7 Eight Core Processor i7-10700 (2.9GHz) 16MB Cache
Motherboard
ASUS® H410M-A: Micro-ATX, DDR4, USB 3.2, SATA 6GBs
Memory (RAM)
8GB Corsair VENGEANCE DDR4 2400MHz (2 x 4GB)
Graphics Card
4GB NVIDIA GEFORCE GTX 1650 SUPER - HDMI
1st Storage Drive
256GB PCS 2.5" SSD, SATA 6 Gb (500MB/R, 400MB/W)

Price: £886.00 including VAT and Delivery

The link to the quote is here https://www.pcspecialist.co.uk/saved-configurations/intel-z490-pc/Y9sM!cxKck/

That price basically gets you the latest i7 processor and a graphics card that will let you play FM on its highest graphics settings

If you have to use Currys then this is good too https://www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/computing/desktop-pcs/desktop-pcs/acer-nitro-n50-600-intel-core-i5-gtx-1660-ti-gaming-pc-1-tb-hdd-256-gb-ssd-10194262-pdt.html

However the processor isn't quite as good

That's pretty sweet and a great price!

I was quite surprised myself to be fair, I always figured these prebuilt companies were over priced but when you factor in labour and the cost of Windows its pretty good.  I always favour building my own but I remember a time when I didn't, it's not always practical for everyone.

Plus someone else building it for you can pretty much give you a purchase option for a guarantee. That can be handy.

Can you find another £100?  £700 seems to be the sweet spot as it gets you a dedicated graphics card

That would be the better - if it's the i7-1065G7 - website says it's the G1 - but that doesn't exist.

Thanks for the reply.

I have also seen this one everything seems to be the same apart from the processor (I have absolutely no clue when it comes to this).

This one is cheaper, would it be significantly worse than the one above?

I only use 2d at the moment anyway so just looking for a more powerful laptop rather than the graphics side. Thanks for your help.

Here you go

found this Ryzen reduced HERE

Intel Option HERE - its only an i5 but it will be quicker for FM than the Ryzen 7H

New Ryzen 4th gen are arriving soon and look promising but thats a month away in terms of stock.  Besides Intel has the edge still for FM in most cases

The new Ryzens look good, stock has been an issue so that seems a good deal.  Only integrated graphics though so my guess would be low to medium settings on the 3D.

If you do decide to get this model don't forget to give it a run on the fm20-performance-benchmarking-thread, i'd love to know how these new mobile Ryzens shape up

How does Quidco work?

Basically you sign up then type into it dell click dell and do your order it will then track with an cashback amount, although you do have to wait a few months for it that’s the downside also the amount you get is what the price is before Tax, I personally save all my cash back for the whole year and it pays half of my Plymouth Argyle season ticket so has its benefits
