How are you finding good enough players? Kings Langley does not have a good rep from the start? I have trouble finding players good enough for the lowest league, at least according to scout and the assistant.

Are you trialing a lot og trust the scouts or how do you do? :)

I've spent a lot of money on scouting this season, although I do often bring in players on trial.

Things have got much easier as time has gone on, I found it difficult to find decent players in the first few seasons.

Thanks :)

I'm especially struggling in the first season, as I haven't got any further. First try ended in relegation. Second try might aswell, still got a few chances to stay up.Ā

But I have trialed ALL players available as unattached. But even the best of them are well-suited or leading for regional prem divs.Ā

Kings Langley - Sky Bet League One - 2027/28

Following the success of last season, I gave the squad the chance to prove themselves in League One.Ā

League Table - we were 19th after 14 games before a pair of new signings changed our season. Winning the league with a game to go was unthinkable.

Checkatrade Trophy - last season we lost two group matches and qualified, this time we won two and didn't!

Carabao Cup - we got the dream cup tie that took care of our finances, we even gave them a decent game.

FA Cup - we went on a giant killing run, knocking out two Premier League sides to book a trip to Wembley. We lost on dramatic fashion, but the money has made a huge difference.

Squad - this is mostly the squad from last season, with a few new faces.

Transfers - five of these signings made an enormous difference to our team.

Finances - the cup money was huge, some of which has already been put aside for new facilities.

Key Player Profiles:

Josh Andrews - top scorer, but found himself out of the team later on in the season.

Samuel Garba - this player made a huge difference.

Valdecir - the other signing who changed our season.

John Swift - I honestly didn't think he'd be good enough, he's now one of our best players.

Roger Brookes - he won us so many matches.

Career Overview:

Season League Position Achievements
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
2019/20 National League South 4th Playoff semi finalists

2021/22 National League South 10th
2022/23 National League South 5th Playoff winners
2023/24 National League 11th
2024/25 National League 8th
2025/26 National League 1st Promoted as champions
2026/27 League Two 1st Promoted as champions, EFL Trophy winners
2027/28 League One 1st Promoted as champions
Next Season:

For three seasons now I've wondered if the squad will be able to step up to the new league, surely this time we are going to find it a bit more difficult?

Your GK, Roger Brookes, looks exceptional. No wonder he's helping you fly up the leagues! The two signings at either end of the diamond look like they'll cope well in the Championship too.

He was a great signing, amazing to think that a League One side let him go on a free transfer.

Ouch indeed, how's that helped the finances/loans ?

Ā

Only Ā£59k added to the transfer budget tooĀ :(Ā  I'dĀ love to see a feature added where you can discuss things like this with the board more, asking them to negotiate for a bit more before accepting or making more of the transfer fee available perhaps.

The club is losing a lot of money, which is perhaps why I didn't get the option to protest the transfer.

It's cleared the debt for now (but not the loan), but I wouldn't be surprised if we were in debt again by the end of the season.

Kings Langley - Sky Bet Championship - 2028/29

After three consecutive league wins we were looking forward to a proper challenge in the Championship.

League Table - we pretty much topped the league for the whole season, but Brighton pushed us all the way.

Carabao Cup - we were edged out in an excellent match.

FA Cup - there was no big cup run this year as we lost out to Premier League Newcastle.

Squad - the squad has been strengthened throughout the season so there should be enough players here capable of playing in the top flight.

Transfers - my one and only cash signing turned out to be just a backup player.

Finances - we've been leaking cash, but making it to the Premier League will take care of that.

Key Player Profiles:

Neil Edwards - this goalscorer made a huge difference.

Sebastian Kovacs - I was lucky to find this replacement for Swift.

Adam Kavanagh - he kept his place despite the new signings.

Markos Fosteris - this new signing is our most valuable player.

Stuart Coleman - one half of a solid defensive partnership.

Career Overview:

Season League Position Achievements

I don't know what exactly happened in 2025/26 but I think the game crashed to your magic.

I honestly just think there's a point in the game where the AI's poor squad building gets exposed.

Most years I find the first few seasons challenging then after about 10 years it feels a lot easier.

A question about your tactic: do you tweak it much during games/during the season, or do you use it as plug and play?

I spent the first few seasons tweaking it to get it playing as I wanted, but after that I don't touch it.

I couldn't agree more, it seems to be more of a struggle for the AI when the first generation of regens take over from the real players.

Kings Langley - Premier League - 2029/30

After four straight promotions as champions, we had made our way to the big league. The squad was going to need improving as this step up was far bigger than any other.

League Table - we spent the entire season just below the big clubs (and Boro) and despite a poor finish to the season, we held on to 8th place.

Carabao Cup - we played one game and it didn't go well!

FA Cup - we came up short against a much stronger team.

Squad - we have a number of decent players, but the squad lacks quality in too many positions for us to challenge the big clubs.

Transfers - it felt like I was splashing the cash, but Ā£17.25m is nothing in this league.

Finances - a combination of a borrowed ground, small contracts and limited spending helped us make a huge profit.

Key Player Profiles:

Florian John - the new striker made an immediate impact.

Dalibor Urbanc - a bargain at Ā£200k.

AdrĆan - not sure why, but he's our most valuable player.

Cristian Arango - it felt wrong replacing our keeper, but my first wonderkid cost just Ā£600k.

Eduardo GarcƩs - a January signing, hopefully he will be key next season.

Career Overview:

2029/30 Premier League 8th
Next Season:

It was great borrowing Selhurst Park for a year, but we are about to move into our own new stadium which is half the size. The finances may take a hit, but we have plenty of money to spend.

Kings Langley - Premier League - 2030/31

After an 8th placed finished in our first season in the top flight, we were hoping to push on and qualify for European football.

League Table - we had Champions League football in the bag, but blew it on the final day of the season as we lost 2-1 to Spurs.

Carabao Cup - I gave the squad players a few games here.

FA Cup - the Premier League champions knocked us out.

Squad - still loads of room for improvement, but we have a number of decent players.

Transfers - this season I really got to splash out.

Finances - moving into our own stadium limited our profits, but we still have loads of money.

Key Player Profiles:

Eduardo GarcƩs - had a quiet debut season but really improved this time.

Ale Krijger - one of two big money AMC signings.

Allan Jakobsen - yet another new keeper, but this one is something special.

Marcin Adamczak - an excellent young defender.

Samuel Garba - he's been a first team player since League One.

Kings Langley - Premier League - 2031/32

Last season we just missed out on Champions League qualification, so that was the aim for this season.

League Table - once again, we just missed out on the top four.

Carabao Cup - we blew a 2-0 lead in the cup final!

FA Cup - Spurs were just too good for us at Wembley.

UEFA Europa League - we had a good run, but made a mess of the crucial home leg.

Squad - the squad is getting close to the ideal balance.

Transfers - a lot of action, which may have halted our progress.

Finances - a loss, but nothing to worry about.

Key Player Profiles:

Vladimir Govedarica - the new signing was our top scorer, but hopefully there's more to come.

Allan Jakobsen - an amazing keeper.

Josef Mikolajczak - an excellent new signing.

Stuart Ewen - a brilliant defender.

Kevin Walton - the youth product had a decent season.

Kings Langley - Premier League - 2032/33

Once again, last season we just missed out on Champions League qualification but this time the squad I had was far stronger.

League Table - it came down to our game in hand after Chelsea had played their last game, which we narrowly won 2-1.

Carabao Cup - we came up against strong opposition early on, which is no good when I want to rotate the squad.

FA Cup - this was a surprise as my strongest team was beaten by Wolves.

UEFA Europa League - we looked unstoppable, apart from the team we beat 6-2 in the group had other ideas.

Squad - we shouldn't need many new signings as the squad is really well balanced.

Transfers - I spent big on two key players.

Finances - an excellent profit.

Key Player Profiles:

Bright Abdullahi - the big money signing has a bright future.

Daniel Lawal - I had been trying to sign him for about three years, hence the huge fee.

Dominik Havel - an absolute bargain at Ā£2.5m.

Josef Mikolajczak - an outstanding winger.

Filip Maes - I wouldn't have signed Lawal if I'd known how good Maes was going to get.

Career Overview:

Kings Langley - Premier League - 2033/34

This season we had the tough task of defending our Premier League title at the same time as making our Champions League debut.

League Table - we never really challenged the leaders, spending most of the season between 2nd and 5th.

Community Shield - a fairly simple win for our first time in this one.

Carabao Cup - we went one better than last season and lifted our first major cup.

FA Cup - we lost out in a thriller with United.

UEFA Champions League - our away form cost us badly as we folded at the Nou Camp.

Squad - the squad is well balanced, but I still have a couple of weaker positions.

Transfers - I made a profit as I improved a few squad players.

Finances - we are rich.

Key Player Profiles:

Bright Abdullahi - top scorer again, but at some point we will not be able to afford his contract.

Filip Maes - he's starting to look like our first choice winger.

Mateo Pereira - hopefully there's more to come from this new signing.

Vusimuzi Khuzwayo - a bargain at Ā£700k.

Stuart Ewen - seems to have recovered from his bad injury last season.

Career Overview:

Kings Langley - Premier League - 2034/35

Last season we failed to defend our Premier league title, so the aim for this season was to win it back.

League Table - we cruised to the title, the others never really challenged us.

Carabao Cup - the red card didn't help, but we got hammered.

FA Cup - we only conceded one goal on our way to lifting the cup.

UEFA Champions League - the route to the final was favourable, but we sealed it in extra time in the final against a strong PSG side.

Squad - we badly need a quality left back.

Transfers - I wasted Ā£40m on a youngster only for my long term target to become available weeks later.

Finances - a decent profit.

Key Player Profiles:

Bright Abdullahi - top scorer again, he's now our captain.

Vusimuzi Khuzwayo - another one of our outstanding strikers.

Robert Beale - the record signing.

Daniel Lawal - he's back to being first choice.

Borrachinha - a decent DM is so important.
