January results were not awful, but throwing away a 3-1 lead at home to Chelsea (we then trailed 4-3) was a massive disappointment, as was a failure to beat Watford. We didn't do enough to win the league game against City, but took it out on them a few days later when they rested a few players for the FA Cup and we didn't.

which leaves us in second place in the table, but way behind City, who will surely win the title. As long as we win the FA Cup and get back in the Champions League, I'll be happy. A Europa League title would be a bonus

Not this time. They actually took the lead after 4 minutes. It made us angry I think :D

That's somewhat refreshing then. Their manager must've been furious.

March was an unbeaten month, but there were costly dropped points at Middlesbrough

457551330_Mar2033.thumb.PNG.1eb391ed060e2cd1990286ec996eb0e8.PNG

and we're down to third, nine points off the lead, but not far from securing a top 4 place, and still in the FA Cup and Europa League

An unbeaten April, which included winning an FA Cup Semi, that despite the emphatic scoreline in the end, went to extra time, and also saw us progress in the Europa League

leaving us second in the league, but with Man City already Champions

Injuries and workload meant we ran out of steam in May, but we've made it to the FA Cup and Europa League Finals

405085318_May2033.thumb.PNG.d9e8330f5857f80aa3a465f2140fa768.PNG

and the defeats meant we ended the season third, but delighted with 84 points and a Champions League return

The Europa League Final went all the way to penalties, and we lost out

I don't think we deserved to lose, but my squad is running on empty, several players are injured or carrying knocks, and this time it wasn't to be. At least I keep my trophy a season at Liverpool record alive

Our top scorer was Marinho, but he was some way off threatening the golden boot

1249622067_Goldenboot2033.thumb.PNG.81fbbdb6f0470948396b9f662facca46.PNG

though a couple of players did feature in the Assists chart

and my keeper had a decent season, though he missed 4 games through injury

With no money available for signings, I decided to promote some promising youngsters to the first team, with the intention of having them on the bench, and bringing them on for short spells at the end of games. Here is the squad as it looks now

October was not good, even though we only lost one game, as we failed to win a Premier League game all month

1478415814_Oct2033.thumb.PNG.222b40a70c43855261924b0396cadcc2.PNG

and we're now only 5th, out of the Champions League places on goal difference

but still top of our Champions League group

Within days, I was summoned to a board meeting to ask if I wanted a larger transfer budget. I said yes, so the board came back with this..

December was my first perfect month for quite a long time

306697736_Dec2033.thumb.PNG.723c69b8ac3b1d3ce8484a8e48333f84.PNG

but Tottenham matched it to deny us top spot, and drop Man City to third

In the Champions League, we ended up with 16 points out of 18, easily enough to top the group

I managed to make two signings in the January window

1261752118_TransfersJan2034.thumb.PNG.4c7cf1903c0de45794c0d6af1787d884.PNG

Asulin is a very decent central defender, and it will enable me to sell one in the summer

Asulin.thumb.PNG.3e517528cffdb12e847804b323c9af7e.PNG

and Joao Roberto is a world class striker

1026008032_JoaoRoberto.thumb.PNG.2a68be06344b5c480edf32c8ac605c5e.PNG

who has already started banging in the goals

We went unbeaten through March, but surrendered the lead against Tottenham to drop our only 2 points of the month

1373189618_Mar2034.thumb.PNG.f89a47c30784727a5874586e568634af.PNG

and that could prove crucial as, with 8 games left, we now trail them only by goal difference. Time will tell whether failure to beat them has a fatal impact on our Premier League title aspirations

We did have a wobble in April, and crashed out of the Champions League, but went through to the FA Cup Final

1180604696_Apr2034.thumb.PNG.5914a770b5a900fccccc0ead1e6e32f1.PNG

and that victory over Man City, coupled with a collapse from Tottenham, has left us 6 points clear with two games left

I agree with Nobby. Go get that double!

Also, looking at the final table, it's come up with something rather interesting, well for me anyway. West Brom finish middle of the table with a GD of 0 and almost the same number of wins/losses. It's quite remarkable for that to happen over the course of 38 games in an entire year. It's a shame they didn't lose one of the games they drew as that would have made it perfect...

It'd be a treble as we already have the Premier League and we beat Huddersfield in the Carabao Cup Final. No counting chickens though, we still have to win the final

Ah yes! Go get that domestic treble!

Who you got in the final?

Best of luck!
