Unbeaten in the league in March, through to the Scottish Cup semi final, but we couldn't get past Sevilla in the Champions League

which has stretched our advantage at the top to 10 points, with 2 games left until the league splits in half

April wasn't perfect, but we're on course for the title, and through to the Scottish Cup Final

5ae4fd577bd03_Apr2028.thumb.PNG.45a15adfafca75539bb74e7f0b05d4a3.PNG

and with a game in hand, and an 8 point lead, victory in our next match, away to my old club St Mirren, will see us take another title

May went almost according to plan, as we went the whole month unbeaten, but dropped points against St Mirren meant we had to wait for the next match to seal the title. We went on to beat Rangers in the Cup Final to finish the season with a double

winning the title a lot more comfortably this season

Well done on the double and that takeover seemed to happen pretty quickly.

Thanks Nobby, and yes, the deal was done in under two weeks, so went through very quickly. Hopefully that'll enable me to stay ahead of the pack in Scotland at least

The season started with a defeat away to Rangers, but I'm pleased we responded by winning all the other games

5ae86fbcbea6a_Aug2028.thumb.PNG.e0372260635940d76df70d7a80669581.PNG

and the early table looks like this, as we trail Hearts and St Mirren, but only on goal difference 5ae86fd2d7a22_Aug2028table.thumb.PNG.4b846431cadc2c726d62100a06a8f8ce.PNG

A great month in the league in September, and given what we want to achieve from our Champions League group, two narrow defeats to the big boys was more than acceptable

5ae8df218ae0e_Sep2028.thumb.PNG.fd308c63627a55504ab4bdd96d9590d2.PNG

and as a result, we're top of the SPL again, and through to another semi final

5ae8df4f2c1a3_Sep2028table.thumb.PNG.78233f068dab1fcee3a185fafb5b82da.PNG

and with a home game against Krasnodar next in the Champions League, we're on course for third place and a Europa League campaign

October wasn't fantastic, and we lost the League Cup semi final

5ae984fba4c34_Oct2028.thumb.PNG.4c5caba5ff4af74d5f8c167bf4e801ee.PNG

but it was enough to extend our advantage at the top to 6 points

5ae985219f9b6_Oct2028table.thumb.PNG.2ad865a0510620ae5c42def31735640d.PNG

and with a trip to Krasnodar next in the Champions League, victory in that would almost guarantee third place and a Europa League spot

January was another solid but unspectacular month, although we did have some tricky away games. We battered Kilmarnock but couldn't score, and were a bit unlucky against Rangers too.

5aea25a855f88_Jan2029.thumb.PNG.69c067f6e1bf0e54f81961f08cd33425.PNG

and that leaves us 7 points clear of Hearts at the top, Rangers face a battle for a Europa League place.

There were no transfers in or out in January, so the squad remains as it was for the rest of the season. There will be a few departures over the summer, and I will look to bring in some young Scottish talent

Just realised that I posted an unintentional spoiler, revealing that we won the Europa League semi final. Here's how we did it, and our post-split SPL results

which resulted in us winning the league by a massive 27 points

Two games remain this season. A Europa League Final with Liverpool, and the Scottish Cup Final against Aberdeen. An update with the season end will follow tomorrow. I'm off to bed now to mull over the tactics for the two finals :)

Unsurprisingly, given such a successful season, we were very dominant in the end of season awards, and broke some club records too

5aec40cc446c4_FletcherAR2029.thumb.PNG.3968086291654c23cb2050fd41c3df1c.PNG

and these were the player awards, beginning with Players Player of the Year

The Football Writers also went for Kris Fletcher

Ruben Helme finished as top goalscorer in the SPL

and 8 Celtic players made the Team of the Year

September was very nearly perfect, as the only match we didn't win was in the Champions League

5aee33dc02b37_Sep2029.thumb.PNG.958baa8414202bac036d52dbc1f17606.PNG

meaning we keep our position at the top of the SPL, still just ahead on goal difference

5aee340c1acb7_Sep2029table.thumb.PNG.8ea91619cff3e1ddb9f0899ccd1f8766.PNG

and bottom of our Champions League group

Despite being forced into playing a 4-2-3-1 for the whole of October, due to only having one fit striker all month, the lads responded magnificently, as we won every game except the Champions League game away to Bayern

5aef492c80594_Oct2029.thumb.PNG.186d5f0909abb6d31df76aa81ed7fab7.PNG

and we therefore remain top of the league, although Aberdeen are 5 points behind us, they have a game in hand

5aef498954ef0_Oct2029table.thumb.PNG.4d18eb4364baa55ec6e5331a7132b5e4.PNG

and our Champions League group is wide open

The injury crisis didn't ease until the last two games of November, when we had two strikers fit, and results have suffered accordingly

5aef676311384_Nov2029.thumb.PNG.1ce4caffbd1007cf25e7a07ca49bb4c4.PNG

but we remain top of the SPL

5aef6782a5cad_Nov2029table.thumb.PNG.9e0997b53c9cd13020441015a673a3ed.PNG

and failure to win either Champions League game this month means we have a battle just to finish third and enter the Europa League

December was a perfect month, as we won 8 games out of 8

5aef8a3fd32a6_Dec2029.thumb.PNG.6f57e34dd0c66edafdbf61bebf5d7e9c.PNG

and we're now 13 points clear at the top, and surely heading for another title in what will hopefully be my final season in Scotland

5aef8aa3613ea_Dec2029table.thumb.PNG.213feaa23491f54c68b0b71a3ec57211.PNG

and our European adventure continues, albeit in the Europa League again

This is a brilliant read!

Though...West Ham winning the UEFA Super Cup? I assume they won the Europa League a few years ago?

Thanks Neotropolis :) Yes, they won the Europa League. They actually made two successive finals, losing to Chelsea in the first, before beating Monaco in the second.

Well done on a dominant season.

How is the temporary move to Edinburgh going?

Thanks Nobby. Well, we've won 9 of 11 league games in our temporary home, beaten Hibs in the League Cup Quarter Final, and our average crowd is 65,210. I think the board are happy, and as long as we win the FA Cup, so will I be
