FFP Rule.. UEFA are a joke!

Don't worry. Got it.

"There will be some tough things but no exclusions."

So they will simply fine the clubs who prove again and again that money isn't an issue. The people that run European football haven't got the brains they were born with. The other day it was the Barca transfer ban being suspended, (thus making it completely irrelevant), and now this. I give up. It's just ridiculous.

Well, no. you have among other things, fines, points deductions and then expulsions.

Well, no. you have among other things, fines, points deductions and then expulsions.

The problem is though, how is UEFA going to enforce point deductions for a competition which they do not manage? They could penalise them however they want in the Europa League or the Champions League, (because they control them), but they can'y do anything about Serie A, La Liga or the Premier League.

When UEFA enforces sanctions for clubs who's fans have misbehaved in some way, it is only competitions which they control, (Europa League and Champs League), where the punishment like empty sections or behind closed doors are applied.

For a points penalty to be applied to the domestic leagues (like Premier League, la Liga or Serie A), the individual National FA would have to enforce to punishment. This is simply not going to happen. If that were the case, then these individual bodies would have introduced just these sorts of rules themselves. They haven't, so they certainly won't be enforcing punishments handed out by someone else.

Fines don't matter.

Points deductions would only apply for the Group stage of European competition.

He has already ruled out expulsion.

Isn't that the reality?

The points deduction is for their competitions (which assuredly do matter). he hasn't ruled out expulsions :D he ruled out expulsions in this coming decision, because that's for serial offenders.

They're not stupid - I can assure you that this decision is solely based on how much more money it will make them. They may want to give the appearance of "fair play", but they really couldn't care less if anything at all is fair as long as the money keeps flowing.

This is insane. No expulsion, no points deductions and the only clubs to get fined are the ones already proving that money is nearly infinite for them anyway. It's like fining Rooney £50 for getting sent off.

Yeesh.

(also, if it's a sliding scale, FM definitely goes straight to expulsion.. phew kept it worthy of GD)

I somehow get the feeling that had PSG not fallen foul of the FFP and it being just an English club he would of pushed for expulsion. FFP will never work anyway, there's no way UEFA will exclude clubs and ruin the Champions league as people will lose interest as it would become like a second Europa league without the elite clubs.

This.

Plus, most of the large clubs became big by being supported by states in past times. It's enough, really. We don't need individual sponsors to make them even bigger. Don't get me wrong - I have no qualms with money being invested in football. The key word being "football". I just want equal opportunities for multiple teams.
