Right everyone is in the database now. A couple of points first though.

If a person doesn't post in a reasonable amount of time I will stop reporting on their player. Reasonable will be defined by the rest of the users.

I have decided to increase everyone's CA to 125. This is because in several tests I have ran with a limited number of people everyone didn't get any first team games or get sent out on loan. Hopefully by increasing the CA things will happen sooner and make the sign up more interesting.

Disclaimer

Due to FM randomness I cannnot be certain that you will recieve the stats you have asked for. This is one of the things that came up during testing. This is one of the reasons the CA has been bumped up a bit and seemed to affect the 16 year olds more.

Yeah, I think I read in another post that if you set stats to 20, they will be drawn downwards if you don't also max out on CA/PA as well. Obviously the younger players will suffer more from this. Should still have 16-17 in most cases for your strengths, maybe 15-16 if you are really young which leaves room to improve it to 20.

Which Leagues are running btw? If you haven't decided, add the other 4 main leagues as well so there is more teams that can buy us.

I was going to run England down to league two (for loans), Spain, Germany, Italy, Holland, France and Portugal all top only but this might change depending on people's opinions.

But any others will only be top only.

Plus my laptop isnt great so I can't run too many.

Urgent Please Read

After reading Glennuk's sign up I have decided to use one of the ideas mentioned there. Someone suggested taking over the club predicted to finish bottom of lowest league running as it would allow him to use the shortlist function to keep track of players easier. If no one objects I will use this as it makes things easier for me. To do this though I will run the Blue Square Premier as it is unlikely that players with a PA 0f -10 are would go on loan there. However there is one potential drawback. Keeping them on short list means that it would make the club I was at appear on their interest screen, which could unsettle players but this is unlikely due to the level of the club used.

If anyone objects to this please private message me with your reasons.

If I recieve no objections by the time I'm ready to start tonight I will assume you are ok with this.

Cheers. blowcrapup.

Sounds good and makes sense with regards to taking over a club. Won't make the slightest difference and players only get upset if clubs of similar rep is interested in them.

I'd say Run England (to lower levels as described) and Italy, France, Germany, Spain top league only. That shouldn't be too heavy on your computer and given that all players are -10, they will only go to those leagues anyway. Skip Holland/Portugal etc as they will never have high enough rep to attract -10 players once they develop. Could even skip France and Germany or have them on view-only.

The Lambs - Rex King - Sunderland

Ahh crud, I am half Geordie, but not from that side (My granddad would turn in his grave).

At least with my 20 ambition I should get well upset at being at such a low ranked club, Man Utd here I come.

You running a low league team sounds great, especially as it will keep you close to the action. Us being on the shortlist will cause more problems for you, with the constant media questions asking about you planning to sign us.

I did think about leaving Holland and Portugal off as theres only (IMO) 5 decent teams altogether in both leagues.

The media questions are no problem really though as I can just ignore the questions.

That's what I would do, except maybe include the BSN/BSS in England so that players could go there on loan as well. The AI teams love to loan out Premiership youngsters.

You could offset that by leaving off France and Germany.

Technical Information

I am running England down to the Blue Square North/South and Spain, Italy and Germany at top level only.

I have taken over Redditch, as they are the team predicted to finish bottom of the Blue Square North. If they are relegated I will simply add myself again as one of the new teams promoted as more than likely they will end near the bottom.

At a quick glance FM seems to have lowered some of the high stats, in particular among the younger players. Everyone does have a 2-year contract however those under 17 have to wait until their 17th birthday to sign it.

As already mentioned I have raised everyone’s CA to 125. This means everyone is more likely to get games earlier.

If people want I can use FMM or Genie to look at your PA. If you do send me a private message and I’ll look for you. If everyone wants to know I’ll post a table.

Anyhow onto

The Players

Irving R. Pointystick

I don’t look too bad. Hopefully I can get some first team experience on loan somewhere.

http://i212.photobucket.com/albums/cc163/blowcrapup/Sign%20up%20album/Pointystick-season1start.jpg

Charles Beams

Another player who looks good. Has been labelled the next Michael Owen.

http://i212.photobucket.com/albums/cc163/blowcrapup/Sign%20up%20album/Beams-season1start.jpg

Dan Davey

The first of the players from “The big 4”. Good technical stats but very poor mental stats.

http://i212.photobucket.com/albums/cc163/blowcrapup/Sign%20up%20album/Davey-season1start.jpg

Rex King

Strong mental stats make up for average technical stats. Has been labelled the next Les Ferdinand. (Go you lol). Also is in the England under 19 squad.

http://i212.photobucket.com/albums/cc163/blowcrapup/Sign%20up%20album/King-seasonstart1.jpg

Almants Poikans

One of the best players by far. In tests was one of two players to get international caps.

http://i212.photobucket.com/albums/cc163/blowcrapup/Sign%20up%20album/Poikans-season1start.jpg

Harry Barker

Weak technical stats offset by good physical stats. Is in the Spain under 19 squad.

http://i212.photobucket.com/albums/cc163/blowcrapup/Sign%20up%20album/Barker-season1start.jpg

Haowan

The man with one name looks fairly balanced. Is also in the Spanish under 19 squad.

http://i212.photobucket.com/albums/cc163/blowcrapup/Sign%20up%20album/Haowan-season1sttart.jpg

Crazy Fool

Looks good. Very good physical stats.

http://i212.photobucket.com/albums/cc163/blowcrapup/Sign%20up%20album/Fool-season1start.jpg

Roberto Dos Santos

The young Brazilian looks good. In test he was labelled the next Ronaldo but strangely not in this.

http://i212.photobucket.com/albums/cc163/blowcrapup/Sign%20up%20album/DosSantos-season1start.jpg

Charlie Sterman

The Manchester loving Geordie player doesn’t look too bad. At the rough end of the draw on random stats though.

http://i212.photobucket.com/albums/cc163/blowcrapup/Sign%20up%20album/Sterman-season1start.jpg

Lawrence Lazewski

Not looking too bad. Another balanced player. The only other player to play international football during testing.

http://i212.photobucket.com/albums/cc163/blowcrapup/Sign%20up%20album/Lazewski-season1start.jpg

Mat Frith

Looks good mentally and physical wise. One of the few (if not only) who didn’t ask for finishing as a strength

http://i212.photobucket.com/albums/cc163/blowcrapup/Sign%20up%20album/Frith-season1start.jpg

Martin Orient

Another balanced player. Had slightly poor luck on the random stats on the technical side.

http://i212.photobucket.com/albums/cc163/blowcrapup/Sign%20up%20album/Orient-season1start.jpg

Jason Ryan

Fairly balanced player with strong physical stats. One of the few with a good chance of first team football. The second lowest valued player.

http://i212.photobucket.com/albums/cc163/blowcrapup/Sign%20up%20album/Ryan-season1start.jpg

Stephen Royston

Again another good balanced player with Chelsea’s training facilities he could go far. Is the most valuable player by over half a million. Is in the England under 19s as well. Also has been labelled the next Les Ferdinand.

http://i212.photobucket.com/albums/cc163/blowcrapup/Sign%20up%20album/Royston-season1start.jpg

Pablo Gonzalez

Very good for a 15 year old. Will heavily benefit from Man Utd’s training grounds. Is the only player to be valued at nothing however he is the only player wanted by another club. Barcelona to be exact.

http://i212.photobucket.com/albums/cc163/blowcrapup/Sign%20up%20album/Gonzalez-season1start.jpg

Johann Süd

One of the other players who didn’t chose finishing as a strength. Looks average but could have good potential.

http://i212.photobucket.com/albums/cc163/blowcrapup/Sign%20up%20album/Sud-season1start.jpg

Bill Delgado

Poor mental stats more than compensated for by extremely good physical stats. Compared to Fernando Torres. Is the second most valuable player.

http://i212.photobucket.com/albums/cc163/blowcrapup/Sign%20up%20album/Delgado-season1start.jpg

Sinan Ates

Balanced player. Could be vastly improved if Tottenham reach their potential.

http://i212.photobucket.com/albums/cc163/blowcrapup/Sign%20up%20album/Ates-season1start.jpg

Francisco d'Anconia

One of the best players on this. Could be hampered by being at Derby but I wouldn’t expect him to stay for very long. Has been labelled the next Carlos Bianchi.

http://i212.photobucket.com/albums/cc163/blowcrapup/Sign%20up%20album/dAnconia-season1start.jpg

I only went to to 31st of december as I just wanted to make sure it ran smoothly. No one got first team football but everyone was regular for under 19s. If it starts to look like no one is going to get first team football I'll take a vote on whether or not to give updates in bigger chunks but only time will tell.

No surprise, Latvian national team strikers are really bad, no problem for such a great talent to get starting line-up spot and hold it until he retires :D

Sorry forgot to mention any requests or suggestions on format please don't hesitate to post them.

If anyone knows how to short links down that would be welcomed.

For example getting http://i212.photobucket.com/albums/c...ason1start.jpg to just say Pointystick.

Thanks.

I could not be happier with my player. He has potential to be a real gem of a player. In my career game I'd buy myself straight away! :). My only massive worry is that the computer won't know how to use him properly, in my hands he'd be a 30/10/7.50 player.

Got lucky with physical stats, he will be fast enough for it to matter and with Strength, Jumping, Off the Ball at 18 and Heading 15 he is already a awesome target man. Didn't choose finishing as a strength, and lucked out it seems: 11, 12, 13 for Dribbling, Finishing and First Touch is more than enough when backed up with 18 in Technique and Composure.

Johann and Lawrence are the only 2 I see have realistic chances of getting all physicals over 10.

Stepher Royston will also be good, had a good draw and combination of attributes as well as being at Chelsea. Same with Gonzales, although Technique 6 might be tricky. Danconia is also looking good and his combination of set pieces with decent technique means he will probably score a fair few on dead ball situations. Charles Beams is also a good bet.

Those 6 are my top picks so far but it will be fun to see how the other factors weigh in.

Keep up the good work!

Oh yeah, had some questions as well:

Have the AI started mentoring anyone?

I guess -10 means 180-200 PA right? Do we want to check exactly how much everyone got or just ignore that?

What leagues did you end up running?

Do you have the German/Dutch national teams or are they still filled with blank players?

Rex King looks pretty fantastic for a 16 year old.

Glad to see that going for nearly all my strength choices as ones that do not add to my CA has worked wonders. First touch 16 and Finishing 13 are great for random assigned stats. Good to see my gamble on just going for high P{ce has worked and it has linked my Acceleration and Agility to it. Shame the rest of my physical stats are so poor, I hope I am a late bloomer. If you want to ask for me on lone at your club, I won't say no :-P

Not sure if i want to be in competition with Stephen Royston to be the next Les Ferdinand, I'll let him have that one and settle for being someone else.

I DO NOT want to know what my PA is, I would rather be suprised at it being high than disappointed at it being low.

Great updates so far.

To answer ZJ:

No not yet possibly by the end of the August update.

Yes it does. I mentioned in the first post that if people wanted to know they could private message me and I'd look but no one has yet taken this option.

England down to the Blue Square North/South and Spain, Italy and Germany at top level only.

No unfortunatly I do not but only one person has Germany as a nationality.

Cheers, missed that.

I was actually hoping you didn't have the real Dutch and German players. If thinks works out to plan, my player will get a call up very quickly as the game prefers real players to their own grey ones. Atleast thats what happened in my game, several very young players with high PA was called up into the German/Dutch National team at around 18. One can only hope. :)

Made my first team debut in not competitive game and only played 42 minutes.

Charles Beams

Oxford City 0 Blackburn Res 3 – Beams 3 goals MOM

Swidon 1 Blackburn Res 1

Accrington 2 Blackburn Res 1 – Beams 1 goal MOM

Avg form 7.33

A debut hattrick is followed by two average games. Was on the bench for all first team friendlies but not for the Euro Vase games. Is happy Anton Ferdinand is new under 21s captain despite not being in any England squad indicating desire to play for country.

Dan Davey

Woking 0 Arsenal Res 2

Boreham Wood 0 Arsenal Res 3 – Davey 1 goal

Avg form – 7.50

Played in two of Arsenal Reserve’s three friendlies giving solid performances in both games. Was on the bench for several of the first team’s games. No changes on international front.

Rex King

Airbus 0 Sunderland Res 3 – King 1 goal

Caernarfon 1 Sunderland Res 3 – King 1 goal

Mons 1 Sunderland 0

Charleroi 1 Sunderland 0

Sunderland 0 Genk 1

Avg Form – 6.80

King makes three first team appearances only one of them starting. Played poorly in first team squads but gave good reserve performances. Going to be one of the first to make a first team competitive start.

Almants Poikans

Barnet 1 Middlesbrough Res 0

Stafford 3 Middlesbrough 1 – Poikans 1 goal

Darlington 2 Middlesbrough Res 2 - Poikans 1 goal

Avg Form – 7.00

Not a bad start for the young Latvian in a very poor Boro Reserve squad. Possibility of an international cap in next update but unlikely as he isn’t 16 until end of September.

Harry Barker

Was on the bench for several Wigan first team games but didn’t get a game. Bizarrely Wigan Reserves didn’t have any games. Only other change is that he is happy worth the choice of Spain under 19s captain.

Haowan

Antayaspor 0 Bolton 1

Konyaspor 3 Bolton 0

Besiktas 1 Bolton 3 – Haowan 1 assist MOM

Avg Form – 7.00

Poor start to career boosted by performance at Besiktas. Is in the Bolton first team and will probably be the first to make a competitive start.

Crazy Fool

Rochdale 0 Everton Res 1

Ballymena Utd 1 Everton Res 3 – Fool 2 goals

Oldham 0 Everton 2

Avg Form – 7.00

Not a bad start to his career. Was on the bench for several first team games but only made one sub appearance for them.

Roberto Dos Santos

Grimsby 0 Reading 1 – Dos Santos 1 goal

Avg Form – 8.00

Scores on his debut and only game. Only other thing worth mentioning is that he turned professional during the month.

Charlie Sterman

Grasshopper 1 Newcastle 1

Ankaraspor 2 Newcastle 2

Bursaspor 1 Newcastle 4 – Sterman 2 goals

Avg Form – 6.33

Despite two goals a poor start gaining a 5 rating in his debut. Injuries to Owen and Viduka mean he is likely to start the season in the first squad although Owen is due back just before the start of the season.

Lawrence Lazewski

Walsall 0 Aston Villa 2 – Lazewski 1 goal

Motherwell 1 Aston Villa 1 – Lazewski 1 goal

Dag & Red 1 Aston Villa 2 – Lazewski 2 goals MOM

Avg Form – 7.33

A brilliant start to his career. Is currently in the first team despite lack of injuries to other players. Still not part of the USA or Poland sides but with international games coming up who knows what could happen.

Mat Frith

Aldershot 0 West Ham Res 3

Canvey Island 0 West Ham Res 3

K.Erciyesspor 0 West Ham 1

Carmarthen 1 West Ham 2 – Frith 1 goal

Avg Form – 6.75

An ok start with appearances in both sides with games. Has another friendly appearance to try to force a place in the first team.

Martin Orient

Notts County 3 Man City Res 2 – Orient 1 goal

Bury 2 Man City 0

Lech 1 Man City 2 – Orient 1 goal

Avg Form – 6.67

Three average performances with two goals. IMHO he needs to move. Man City have too many promising forwards coming through for him to progress well enough (there are 17 forwards in the under 19s and reserves). A loan out would greatly benefit him.

Jason Ryan

Waterford Utd 1 Birmingham 3 – Ryan 2 goals

Derry City 1 Birmingham 2

Avg Form – 7.00

Made a good start before getting injured. Is out for one more day. Is in the first team but unlikely to start much.

Stephen Royston

Bury 1 Chelsea Res 1

Boston Utd 1 Chelsea Res 5

Avg Form – 6.50

A poor start for the most valuable player. Currently valued at £4.2m don’t be surprised if he is pushing £5m. Is only one of two players in any of the England sides along with Rex King.

Pablo Gonzalez

Hartlepool 1 Man Utd Res 2 – Gonzalez 1 goal MOM

Avg Form – 7.00

Not a bad debut. Is still worthless :D and wanted by Barcelona. Currently considering a new contract from Man Utd.

Johann Süd

Lincoln 2 Portsmouth Res 3 Süd 2 goals MOM

Havant & Waterloo 3 Portsmouth Res 0

Anderlecht 1 Portsmouth 1 – Süd 1 goal

Avg Form – 7.00

Not a bad start to his career. Hopefully he’ll get into the first team soon.

Bill Delgado

Southport 1 Liverpool Res 0

Dungannan 1 Liverpool Res 3 – Delgado 3 goals MOM

Avg Form – 8.00

Great start to his career should hopefully get a loan out, as he isn’t good enough to play for the first team yet.

Sinan Ates

Stevenage 0 Tottenham Res 3 – Ates 1 goal

Livingston 2 Tottenham Res 1

Avg Form –7.00

Not a bad start. Seems to be aiming to play for England rather than Turkey although nothing is confirmed officially.

Francisco d'Anconia

Hartlepool 2 Derby 0

Burton 2 Derby 1

Stockport 2 Derby 1

Avg Form – 6.00

A bad start to his career. Derby lost most of their opening games. On the plus side d'Anconia is in the first team. This is could as it will open more possibilities up for d'Anconia as Derby are going down HARD.

Is everyone happy with this format? When people start playing competative games I'll keep a running total in the update section as well as a career history.
