lfc7 Posted December 5, 2011 Author Share Posted December 5, 2011 Just came here looking for mention of Fernandinho, as I've just bought him in my Arsenal save and he's bagged something like 5 goals in his first 8 appearances for me. 3 or 4 of those were absolute screamers too, fantastic player.He and Willian really impressed me when I drew Shakhtar in the CL groups in my second season, so I bought Fernandinho in January and plan to get Willian to replace Arshavin when he leaves in the summer. Can't get enough of your (overrated) players! Fernandinho has scored a few screamers for me aswell. Willian is a class player and I wouldn't say they were overrated Enjoy, because in the next update Shakhtar will descend to earth. Never faced any competition this year. Champions League - Runners Up. Real madrid 2 Shakhtar 1 I took the lead in the 4th minute thanks to eduardo, coentrao equalised in the 17th and from then on we both had chances, i had a goal disallowed and hit the bar, madrid hit the post. Into e.t 105th minute madrid got the winner, benzema's shot went straight in but got credited to M'bia somehow as an own goal. So close to winning it! Yes, he has a phat shot, but you're talking 1/20+ will go in, so you may as well save all the missed shots and he still takes a fair amount anyway. Make sure he's your primary free kick taker. Am not currently playing my Shakhtar save but for staff i would recommend Sidnei Lobo for Assistant and Neves for coach. As for players i tried to sign Brazilians and Ukraininas. Damiao, G.Silva from Brazil, as for Ukrainian's you could sign Tymoschuk from Bayern who is also a club icon, I.Platsun (Obolon), R.Bezus (Vorskla), V.Polyovyi (Arsenal Kyiv). I would defo keep the likes of Dentinho, Costa, Chygrynskyi, Rakitskyi, Sergiy Kryvtsov, Srna, Jadson, Fernandinho,Alan Patrick, Mkhitaryan, Willian, Teixeira and would not entertain any bids Anyway welcome to the thread and good luck with the save, shall try and get on my save later and see if i could put anymore info up Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

TacticalMaestro Posted July 18, 2012 Share Posted July 18, 2012 It seems like Man City breaks the heart of many Shakhtar managers because I am in the semi finals of the CL in my first season but I have just lost to them in the first leg at hom. I know it will be a very tough task away . After beating their arch-rivals , I thought I'd have a better chance against Bayern but they knocked out Bayern . I don't even know how to approach them away but I'll attack them and see how it goes since I don't have much to lose . The league is pretty easy though, but I squandered a 12 point lead in the first 4 games after the winter break . It is all good though because I have now gained an 8 point lead . JD nawrat Posted July 22, 2012 Share Posted July 22, 2012 so after my debut season in Ukraine I have a record of P46, W40, D4, L2. unfortunately those two defeats were big and tough to take (especially v Karpaty) but I can't say I'm disappointed with this season at all. to dominate the way we did but also play the stylish football we did is a great feat and I'm very pleased of what we've accomplished. Arsenal finished 12th and the only hope Wenger had of keeping his job was winning the Champions League but they lost in the final to Barcelona (meaning they retained it). I was hoping my name would be thrown about a bit but apparently not. Carlo Ancelotti got the job... HOWEVER, I don't particularly care anymore because the BEST THING EVER just happened. Lille finished 18th and got relegated and Hazard handed in a transfer request so I snapped him up for £17M. this means that should I have to sell Willian (looking likely) I've got an amazing (better) replacement. although I want to play: ----------Damiao Hazard--Willian--D Costa -Fernandinho-Stepanenko meaning that Mkhitaryan will drop to a sub (unfortunately) but it's for the greater good. alternatively I will keep Willian out on the right and drop/sell Douglas Costa. it all depends. but I HAVE HAZARD YES. another year at Shakhtar minimum. This was one of my most enjoyable saves I had last year, although the league is very easily and I nearly had a record like yours, the target for me every season was to see how far I could get in the Champions League. I didnt get past the semis unfortunately before deciding to give my save a break. Shakhtar have brilliant finances which makes it more exciting. A great first season where I took out Inter twice gives me plenty of hope (they got to the semi-finals before losing to Arsenal (who lost to Barcelona)). I'm strengthening my attacking options (as if they needed that) and I'll look into improving my defence but I don't feel like I need to do that at the moment. I hope I'll get into the Semi-Finals at least this year. I'm not managing Shakhtar long-term and will consider my options if a bigger team comes along but I want to have at least one good crack at the CL. Willian is a case of interest, aye. I had to fend off Juventus who came in with an £18M bid for him. I asked for £30M and they backed down and I had to offer him a new contract to keep him. I'm not sure that with Juventus, Chelsea and Bayern chasing him that I'll be able to keep him. I've got plenty of funds so that's not an issue. small news - I've signed Borys Taschy for £5M (promising young Ukrainian who was good on his loan deal) and Marcos Alonso for £1.7M (young Bolton LB who was great on his loan deal). JD nawrat Posted July 27, 2012 Share Posted July 27, 2012 AtLOLtico Madrid lost my first group game 2-1 v Schalke in Gelsenkirchen, but Celtic beat Madrid 2-1 in Spain and Schalke 3-0 in Glasgow so I'm pretty sure I'll go through if I beat Celtic twice. I was originally going to leave after 2 seasons at Shakhtar but I have changed my mind and I'm going to give it one more year at Shakhtar to try and win that elusive Champions League trophy. my plans: bring in a new LB because Razvan Rat is old and his contract is expiring in a month. Fernandinho will be sold because he's not suited to my style (shoots too often) and he'll be able to get me a lot of money as I have the likes of Juventus looking for him. Willian to be sold. Douglas Costa might be sold because I can fetch a lot for him plus I have Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain looking set to come in for only £5.25M. I might need a new goalkeeper. Rybka won't negotiate a new contract with me despite being first choice at club and country. he's going to let it expire and I'm worried someone will snap him up for free. oh and Leandro Damiao... what a player. same number of games played as last season, 14 more goals scored. absolute monster up top.
