  1. Thanks for that @Dennis Nielsen On first look, both tactics are very aggressive in terms of roles & TI's, the wings backs go forward and your middle 3 won't be shy in moving forward either. Then your TIs are about pushing your team up the pitch and congested space for the opposition. At a guess, it's the opposite to what you want and there will be limited space in the final third for your wide players to cut in I'd try toning down the roles of your middle 3 and a few of the TIs, see if that helps brings more cutting in from your wide men
  2. Post them up pal, there's at least two more games left Could always try Roam from Position on a couple of roles, see if that gets any closer
  3. Role wise, it's too aggressive A PF(A) will push the back line and try and not let teams play out Both WBs on Attack, the most aggressive role and duty in that position barring the CWB, they will be pushing up and not letting your opponent out in wider areas The two DMs aren't exactly tame roles Team Instructions look alright but you say you want to counter without telling your team that. You might what to add Pass into Space or use another role that does, you only have the Reg in the team who will be looking to do that Also, as Dortmund, I can't imagine a lot of teams will come at you so you might want a plan B
  4. Plenty of times. Post up your tactic for a start, so people can advise tactically. It also depends a lot on the player too, his attributes and traits and who's he's up against that day Also, bear in a mind, the likes of Mo Salah IRL don't dribble inside multiple times a game, some games this season he hasn't managed it once
  5. Yeah, after that second half, I don't think anyone will be bothered about Germany
  6. I'm not sure you can replicate Germany in FM, they play a back 4, send Raum forward and Sule tucks in to form a back 3 at times
  7. Not a million miles apart at all, I'm surprised 2nd half, I wouldn't have a clue then once the subs started being made, I put down my pen, it's not easy at all
  8. Just jotting down on a sticky note at work watching the game Obviously only the first half. Probably nothing like how it is but would be fun in FM CF(A) IF(S) IW(S) BBM(S) MEZ(S) DLP(S) WB(S) CD(D) CD(D) FB(S) SK(D) Play out Shorter passing Balanced? Maybe push the lines up Could probably argue on all of those roles. The CD's are bringing the ball out but I'd allow the player traits to take care of that. Rice is looking positive on the ball and making forward passes, I think on Defend he'd be too negative. Both fullbacks aren't looking too attacking but Shaw is getting forward more so than Trippier. Both CM's, not sure of their Player Traits but both looking lively, Rice looks more of the Playmaker. Kane, no idea, he's not done a lot, DLF(A) maybe but he's been out wide a fair bit and he'd be a brilliant CF in FM . Saka staying wide, Sterling sitting in a little more
  9. A thread to chat about anything tactical during the WC 2022 Maybe a team impresses you and you want to recreate the style in FM Maybe a player impresses, and you want to chat about his role Maybe even player combinations, certain team instructions, just anything really
  10. Not really, no trait's going to make him a better finisher, all you can do is train him to try and improve it "Looks for a pass rather than a shot" might be a suitable one
  11. Came in to say this, I think both WBs on Attack is potentially a problem. As you can see on the pass map, they are getting high up that pitch For both WBs on Attack, I'd dumb down the Volante to a Defensive Midfielder or try the left hand Wingback on Support Next thing I'd try is removing the extra width, it's probably not needed on a Positive mentality plus Wingbacks
  12. You could say the same about the other Attack duty roles.
  13. Get it reported @milenec11, you've just described exactly what happened, note down the time of it, save the game and upload the PKM https://community.sigames.com/bugtracker/football-manager-2023-bugs-tracker/753_match-engine-ai-and-tactics/?advanced_search_submitted=1&content_field_48[1]=under review&content_field_56[1]=1&content_field_56[0]=0&sortby=record_last_comment&sortdirection=desc&record_type=all&time_frame=show_all
  14. I've noticing that but I also keep an eye on Birmingham and how AI John Eustace does with his back 3 and he'll often end up in the playoffs or promoted
  15. CF(A) is the role I used for Jesus, purely because he's here there and everywhere along the frontline
  16. Just to better represent the 4-2-3-1 using the double pivot @Jack Joycehas gone into depth over it a few times
  17. I thought you'd played a few games!! That's 2 conceded (against one of the biggest teams in Europe) in 7 @milenec11, I think you're doing fine
  18. It looks like your defense is pretty solid there If Dave doesn't show you what he did, I'm sure someone else will
  19. Show him what you did @Dagenham_Dave, try and help the chap out a bit He's not mocking you @milenec11, just showing you the team can win
  20. If @milenec11has a genuine tactical problem, feel free to start your own thread on the Tactics and Training board and ask for help with a screenshot of your tactic and a description of what's going wrong If you think there's a bug in the match engine, upload a bug report in ME Bug Tracker which I linked you too earlier, with your PKMs and timestamps If you think the ME is against you, you won't get any sympathy here because it's 100% not true The ME simulates football between two teams, that's it
