Ideally the game should have a system for these new groups that are appearing now. The current affiliations system is too simple to replicate those groups correctly. -

It seems to be random, here the first and second from the same group played against each other in the semis. As mentioned in the opening post, the semis should be 1st A vs 2nd B and 1st B vs 2nd A. -
