Player continues running long after pass is intercepted

I had my winger, Gnonto, running for way too much time after a pass that was directed to him has intercepted. It happened in the 62 minute mark. I'll be attaching a video with the moment, so that it is better illustrated. Thanks for the attention! Vídeo sem título (2).mp4 -
Yeah, it was a very specific scenario. I'm curious to know if the game would react the same if the weekend game was against a club that was fighting against relegation, for example.

I had a Europa League Final and a game against Manchester City in the same week. The game chose the Big Match Preparation scenario. However, the big game important sessions, such as routines and match tactics, were only done after the EL Final, which I considered a more important match than the PL game.

I believe that André Trindade, the CDM from Fluminense, should have the center-back position on at least competent. In many game situations, Fluminense's coach, Fernando Diniz, takes off a center-back and puts a midfielder onto the pitch, sliding André to play as a center-back.
