I envisage FM24 introducing new features / developments to the series not seen for a few years. Some will like them, others will moan it hasn't gone far enough. FM25 will refine and improve these new features, and FM26 will see SI nail these and that is the version that will be hailed as the best FM for a long time. Then the next 2 iterations will be deemed "updates" and the moans begin again. And onwards the cycle will continue ...

I am gradually coming to the conclusion that I have found myself getting more enjoyment out of the editor than actually playing the game. Maybe I'm "FM'd out". 😔

If you were able to get your hands on the fm21 lower league file mentioned above, you could see if it would load and verify in the fm23 editor. Or at the very least, load it in and then get it fm23 ready by ironing out any errors.

Take a look at the Northern Irish Premiership. They have the same amount of teams as the SPL. From memory there is a European stage that is hidden. But copying it (as amount of teams are the same) should give you the desired outcome. There is a league split after 33 games, which I think Scotland have too.

Yes there definitely would be. If you are prepared to spend the time researching how Iceland are going to deal with the change. Initially I found it very difficult to find out what had happened, mainly down to my lack of understanding of the Icelandic language, and the very long Icelandic team names. Some websites had the long names, others the very short 2 letter names. I got myself very confused! Personally I feel SI should have spotted this before releasing 23.4, and I have been informed that they are working on a fix. If it isn't done when they release the Chinese transfer window data then it won't happen in this version of FM, I'm pretty sure of that.

Had this been said ... I conceded a goal from a penalty that hit the bar, rebounded to the penalty taker who popped it in the goal. From the replay my goalie doesn't look like he touched the ball onto the bar. Therefore the goal should not have been allowed as a different player has to have touched the ball before the penalty taker can touch it again. On this occasion I won the match and it was a friendly but I would have been raging if circumstances had been different!

This is the first time I've seen screenshots so it looks like this is not an idle project.

Here is the Altitude information for the city of La Paz (LP) in the editor. The information is under City as @rp1966 stated. The other screenshot is from the Flut skin. It is the stadium screen and it states the Longitude and Latitude. The stadium screen in the editor does not have an altitude tab, which I would imagine is why the Flut stadium screen does not mention altitude. Unfortunately clicking the City name does not take you to a City page. If it did you would be able to read the altitude figure. I don't know if it is possible to activate this, but I suspect it would be with some clever xml work. Probably very simple to do with a bit of knowledge.

Must be possible with some skinning skills, as altitude is in the editor as has been said. Why don't you ask the question in the Skinning forum? There's clever people there that have done wonders with skins.

I hope when they do they fix the Icelandic league problem stopping us verifying edited files for 23.4. This is still being looked at according to the bugs review screen.

I actually really enjoy having full detail on alot of leagues now purely from a more realistic perspective. I change the playable nations each year depending on what teams get to last 8 or last 4 of continental and international competitions. This can give lesser nations a chance to shine and develop if one of their clubs reached my selection criteria. Keeps the save interest fresh too. 🙂

So is the problem that SI have coded this from an English perspective of how finances work?

Yep that's exactly how I play. I also have other files from myself and other contributors and all is good. I prefer playing with the old style club world cup, it also works with the new format as well.

Can you imagine this scenario randomly being coded into future FMs!? Stuff you'd never see come up in your Inbox!

Here's my one. 80s style competitions That is for 23.3 but if you scroll down to my last post there is a download for a working 23.4 version until si do a hotfix for 23.4.

Exactly this. Greed pure greed. Bring back the old style competitions and I'd be a happy man. I only ever play FM this way and have done since I learnt how to work the editor for my own means.

Well I do have a good few skins in my folder now but always clearing cache and reloading when changing. The side bar is there, it's just since kojuro removed the purple colour it is now totally transparent on the club overview screen. So if the city background pic is a light colour (as in the image I posted), you cannot read the menu options because they are in white writing. It would be better if I could make that side menu background colour the same as the rest of the screen with a slight transparency. I could not find the correct panel xml to look at.

LOL maybe I did Kojuro a massive injustice there!! Here is a quote from his description of the skin: "So this is just a simple update of the original skin, removing the fixed purple colors on the side menu! Simple and do the job for those who don't like it from the original skin.". Okay, so the sidebar is still there 😳😊, it's just I can't see it!!!!

Maybe forget my last request. Reading details about the skin, the author actually states that they have removed the side bar. This skin may not be the skin I am looking for.
