  1. I've been playing about with the fonts, colours. I have changed the human controlled part to the colour I want. I have also changed the header to a colour of my choice. However I have hit my head against a brick wall when trying to replicate last year's header. How would I change the continue box to be the colour of whatever team or competition I am looking at? Like this... I can change the text colour to white easy enough but that will also change the continue box colour to white. What xml text controls that bit specifically, and how can that be set to change colour depending on what team page, or competition page I am on? Whilst I'm at it how can I change the club name to be just capital letters. Thanks in advance for your help.
  2. Just to get this right, did you end up rewriting your fm23 file from scratch in the fm24 editor? I was hoping the patch would allow my "fm23 verified in the fm24 editor file" to work but it doesn't.
  3. @keysi, is it easy to change the yellow/gold fm24 theme colour and replace it with another one? And the same with the team you're managing when viewing fixtures or the league table?
  4. You should pop that file over to the downloads section @Reedo.
  5. That's me each year, and each year I buy it. However I feel so cheated this time round. I was so excited about the ability to continue fm23 save in this version. But looking through the bug reports I couldn't guarantee that I won't come across crash problems. I don't want to waste my time for a few months to see my save drop due to bugs. I always say to myself that I'll buy the game in March after the final patch release. I never do, but I hope I learn my lesson. Fm25, whilst being much anticipated, will no doubt be 3 years away from being where it promises to be. I hope I'm wrong but we've seen it all before. Even the pre game editor has taken a backward step, but then it usually is an after thought. Just all very annoying. I currently have no desire to load up the game in it's current state. Frankly, it will be a waste of time. Instead all I find myself doing is preparing the game for when it is ready to play, through preparing edits and basic skinning. Oh, and I really must promise myself not to look at the GD forum before and after new releases. That way I won't get sucked into the hype, and afterwards read about all the problems. Some of these issues I wouldn't have noticed, but now I know about them I can't see anything but those issues!
  6. Maybe there should be a tick box in the editor that says "Have referees do their job?" !
  7. I actually like the goal line technology because it works! Am I right in thinking removing VAR wouldn't remove goal line technology unless you actually untick the goal line technology tab?
  8. I have an issue which may be linked to what is being discussed here, although I'm not getting a crash. I have got my euros database from fm23 to verify in fm24 (I've adjusted the dates to 2023 from 2022 within the database). However after verification the new competitions do not appear in fm24. The competitions present in the game are the old ones I have removed or changed, and to add further confusion they never start. I wonder could this have anything to do with me bringing the fm23 file into the fm24 editor and then verifying? Maybe some corruption from old data? I don't know, and what is puzzling is when I test the competitions in the editor everything works fine. I didn't want to have to rebuild the whole file, but maybe I'd have to 🤔
  9. I transferred my fm23 save to fm24, and have noticed a problem with attendances being incorrect. The attendances in my team's schedule screen are correct and the same in both versions. However when I click on the match score to see more details the next screen shows a different attendance figure. This does not happen when I do the same in the fm23 save. The uploaded files are entitled ChowderChonks 28.2, and ChowderChonks 28.2 FM24
  10. @keysi, thankyou so much for an absolutely top class skin.
  11. I can't see it for Group Stage. I've double checked the fm23 editor and it's the same there as well. It seems you have to change the tab to Cup for the Round Defaults option to appear.
  12. So choosing Referee and Remote review would be what we see in the likes of the Champions League, and the Premier League then? In my 20 odd years of playing this game I have very rarely managed in the top flight, and since VAR was introduced I've not managed in a league that has it! On this basis I've not really seen it action in my game environment!!
  13. I've often wondered what all these options mean. Can anyone explain what each option does? No VAR is self explanatory. I'm confused by the others.
  14. I will bring version 3.15 into fm24. I'll want to do a fair bit of testing with it though first.
  15. Yes it works now if you create a save in fm23 and transfer the save over to fm24. But I'm pretty sure you wouldn't be able to load it into the fm24 editor and expect it to verify without correcting database errors that would arise.
  16. Why don't you just continue your save into fm24? I'm assuming you've qualified for the conference league, if so you will be in it in fm24 in the year you left fm23. Or have I misunderstood what you want to do?
  17. I find my attention span wains after an hour, especially after a day's work. That's probably due to my age now, as I find my eyes can't concentrate on the screen after a while. The tedious part for me are the recruitment meetings, but I feel as the manager I really should attend!!! The Continue Game Timeout button is a handy thing that cuts back on the clicking. On average I only play 1 game world week per sitting, and that's based on having one match per game week. I also don't play every day like I used to, but that's also down to my age and life getting in the way, or I've found I've got too damn comfortable on the sofa that my body refuses to move over to the pc! It takes me a super long time to get through a season. That's why I am pleased I can continue my fm23 save into fm24.
  18. I am using edited files ( @Daveincid's realism files), that amongst other things alter transfer preferences of clubs (eg more activity from Saudi Arabia). In transferring over a save file to fm24 will these files negate the transfer activity of Saudi Arabia that SI have introduced into the new game?
  19. Check the screen that has your CPU details on. Is it Game Status off the top of my head. There's an option there that says Manageable Clubs. Make sure you haven't that set to be just the country you are currently managing on. You can change it to any clubs or other specific nations.
  20. Questions have been raised in the bugs forum about the lack of AI squad development ☹️
  21. Just to add in my experience here. I transferred my fm23 save this afternoon which was in February 2024. I have holidayed indefinitely, it's taking ages due to the detailed level I have but it is in November 2024 and still going. I have about 200 edited files which has added multiple leagues and changed multiple competitions. So far so good.
  22. It is possible though if you have custom made competitions. The only things you can't do is have the Russian national team awarded any ranking points so they eventually sit rock bottom, or have any Russian clubs playing their continental matches on home soil.
