  1. I’ve seen managers play the most horrid set ups and still not concede 40 shots irl. 40 shots is a shot every 2 minutes. Even pl sides playing against national league sides don’t create 40 chances. It’s been a problem in fm for years. It’s far too easy to rack up the number of shots. If you look across all European games in the last month I doubt you’ll find a game where a team has 40 shots
  2. He still shouldn't be conceding 40 shots regardless of how bad his tactic is (unless he's using something that has absolutely no coverage). Show me any real life game where a team has 40 shots.
  3. I've lost 9-0 to liverpool on a previous fm with tactics that were decently balanced with a stronger team
  4. What his strength in the latest patch? It was 9 in the beta which was obviously correct but not sure what it was changed to
  5. White hits long balls all the time. Especially over the top to Saka. Did the same last season. 78 percentile for switches (balls over 40 yards) and 75 percentile for long balls according to fbref https://fbref.com/en/players/35e413f1/scout/365_m1/Ben-White-Scouting-Report Saliba - watch Arsenal’s 3rd goal vs Brentford and see what he does in the build up. He always plays his way out of trouble. he even dribbles more than a cb should (Arteta commented the same to carragher in his Monday night football interview) Will almost never look to go long unless absolutely necessary. agreed on the rest
  6. Yeah it’s making games vs 3 at the back teams unbearable when their virtually impossible to press
  7. Seems like it’s impossible to press them properly on this game unless you match it with a narrow 343. When playing a 433/4232 the 3 at the back always has numerical superiority and you can’t alter your pressing shape unless changing formations. any suggestions?
  8. It’s terrible though. My striker starts pressing the full back and my wingers press the cbs instead of the full backs because of the pressing triggers. It’s terribly implemented.
  9. Still makes 0 sense why you can’t have pressing a specific player as a pi
  10. Put your trequartista in amcr position with move into channels pi. He’ll be in the right half space all the time then
  11. a lot of zlatan’a adaptation is due to his acl injury which killed him physically. Messi still has pretty decent acceleration though. His top speed is just not great and his work rate is low. His actual physicals haven’t deteriorated to the point where he’s no longer not one of the best players in the world. Messi has been strolling around the park since 2016. It’s just the way he plays. I do agree that stats are still a bit too good at 35 but just needs a slight tweak. Don’t want to go back to fm21 where even world class players are no longer useable after 33
  12. Bale declined because he didn’t football as seriously as he could have. I can definitely see salah still being world class at around 36 but the drop off will be steep thereafter. Ibra, Messi, modric, Ronaldo all world class at 35/36
  13. Problem with this is. Full back don’t press full backs on this games properly
  14. I meant the left back would be wing back attack. The right back on support is fine
  15. Making ballon d’or winners in fm is quite hard when you play in the premier league. You basically have to gear your entire system to him (and this may include putting him on most of the set pieces). I think the new version of the tactic should maximise his output although it won’t really be a recreation of Arteta’s arsenal if that’s what you wanted originally. maybe having the wingback on Wb- attack could be good if you want all 5 channels occupied constantly in the final third plus the byline cutbacks to the inside forward rather than the deeper crosses you get from from the fullback.
  16. Yeah this makes the most sense. Also means the Bpd can hit the balls to the inside forward as well
  17. Change the advanced forward to a false nine/ pressing forward support ( or perhaps dlf a) and this tactic will probably be the best bet. Ideally you want your st dropping deep to create space for saka
  18. Too many prople rate the idea of players on here rather than what they actually do
  19. Then he actually has to learn how to play as a midfielder.
  20. Bellingham and Foden get called generational talents when Saka outperformed them both this tournament and has been outperforming the later for a year and a half in a worse team. He never gets his dues and it’s ridiculous. Always seen as inferior for whatever reason. Even the arsenal researcher told me he’s not an elite talent like foden/ greenwood. Which was utter nonsense
  21. He can’t beat his man as well as Saka can from a standing start. Literally Arteta’s whole atttacking plan is based on isolating Saka 1 v1 vs the oppo full back. I didn’t at Foden isn’t intelligent. He’s not intelligent as Saka though. He’s not phenomenal at either aspects. If he was he wouldn’t be bang average at rw and he also wouldn’t be playing on the wing. He should be playing centrally but he hasn’t developed the midfielder qualities yet because he hasn’t developed mentally enough for it.
  22. Better based on what? Some imaginary intangible and an idealised version of the player rather than what he actually does. Because he’s certainly not better as a winger. Can’t beat his man 1 v 1 lack Saka can. Not as clever mentally either
  23. International football is different to club football. Hardly any international team actually presses well
  24. Laughing about some of the comments on Saka saying he should be subbed in the first half. you guys were watching a different game. It can’t have been this one. Also at what point do we admit Saka is bette than Foden. Far more impactful almost every single England game.
