Same issue playing in Brazil having started the game in December. Just to clarify can I avoid the issue if I start a new save in Brazil at different time after December?

I had tried a 4141 Very Attacking but felt inconsistent away for non top clubs (very common in FM23). 4141 Balanced could be a good option for me esp the one with wingers as I feel IFs tend to shoot a bit too much rather than pass to striker.

@knap Can you suggest a one top tactic that creates lots of chances for the striker? Since last update I'm finding harder to get strikers to score especially in 4231, wide diamond has been most effective for me though I'd prefer more traditional formations.

Great file! The only minor issue I had with previous version was with Lower Hutt and Phoenix Reserves confusion (I like to manage Phoenix in A-League and also take over the reserve team) as Lower Hutt were considered the 'real' reserve team (I think this was an issue of the original DB). Btw the link between Lower Hutt and Phoenix doesn't seem to exist anymore irl so this should make things easier in the future, I'd suggest to remove the affiliation with Lower Hutt and make Phoenix Reserves the 'real' reserve team of Wellington Phoenix. Another issue (also of original DB since last year) was that Wellington Phoenix players moved to Lower Hutt were considered foreigners in NZ league despite having NZ nationality (maybe because of Phoenix playing in a foreign league?) so maybe something to look at.

Any luck with other mentalities like Positive or Very Attacking?

Won Serie A, Conference League and Italian Cup with Fiorentina in first season (predicted 7th) using a combination of Paris 4231 tactics (attacking at home, balanced away). I think most tactics from previous updates should still work well though I must say new ME seems much less fun to watch (fewer goals for the striker, fewer clean chances created, more goals from set pieces and weird mistakes). Found previous ME much more entertaining tbh.

Knap I see PARIS 4231 with attacking mentality is performing better than most on your recent tests. Can we finally ditch balanced even away ?

Is it correct for Bodø/Glimt to have two third teams (both playing in same division) while also not having an U19 team? Not sure if a minor bug or Glimt actually have multiple reserve teams in that division - who knows what happens up north!

Big fan of this file for years! Would it be possible to have a version without the seletiva serie D leagues and with teams qualifying for serie D via state championships?

@knap Thanks! Curiously the highest GD seems to use standard defensive line while top tactic overall has much higher. Will try both and see what works best for my team.

@knap yeah I think VA works best in leagues where superior squad bulding can give you a clear advantage on AI (I've had amazing results in USA, Canada, South Africa, Australia, Saudi Arabia) or with clubs like PSG. Tends to be more inconsistent against good teams in better leagues. I just like to score more goals Can you recommend a balanced 424 that is also high scoring?

So all top tactics are now Balanced? What happened!? Still using VA in good times and bad

@knap 4231 VA also working well for me in less conventional leagues (Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Canada)

4231 VA has worked really well for me in my last Saudi Arabia save. Richest team in second tier so opponents weren't great (my squad wasn't really elite either) Bossed the league with striker scoring 48 goals in 32 matches (had similar results with VA in brazilian Serie B). I think a top club should be able to do well with VA though probably away games vs biggest clubs could be tough. I just like number of goals scored with VA

They look perfect! The attention to detail is nuts and will definitely make for a dynamic and immersive save in middle-estern leagues. Amazing job!

I've used it in last four seasons with Paris 4231 DM (both narrow and wide) and always performed well conceding under one goal per game each season, also I like the idea of a defender on cover. I've had similar stats using tactics with standard defence though so can't say for sure which one is better.

Early testing with 4231 VA (last two games of the season after securing another title with Paris 4231 DM Nike) Very small sample but signs are encouraging both home and away (though admittedly against average/small clubs), two large wins with high number of goals and xG and solid team defending. Striker scoring 6 goals in two games always a bonus . Will start with VA next season and hopefully can mantain this level of performances.
