  1. Probably something like this. Benzema getting older and slower can be excellent at SS. I'd look for a new starting winger (or striker moving Vinicius on the wing) as Valverde has great physical attributes but average dribbling and flair
  2. If I'm leading in second half and see opponents controlling possession and having too many shots I often use Low tempo, Time wasting, Hold shape, Regroup. In last 10 minutes I might add low block and low defensive line. Is it first season Arsenal? They should have some good players for this tactic. What's your first choice line-up?
  3. Well unbeaten in South Africa or Turkey with a top team is easier than unbeaten in EPL. To really dominate like that at EPL level you need a high quality squad with any tactic, and the right type of players for this one. I've won Serie A with Fiorentina in first season and still had a 0-5 loss against Monza on 5 shots allowed... I've won Brazilian Serie A as a newly promoted side despite a slow start, then changed my good complete striker with 13 pace/acc to a raw prospect wiht pace 17 and started scoring at will. In-game adjustments like defensive TI to close out games can also help esp a as a weaker side. What team are you using? What type of players? How's team cohesion and tactic familiarity? Did you sign many new players? Did you update mid-season ? Many things can go wrong in this game!
  4. @blackheartgr666 looking at your squad - and your results - I'd say you have signed the right type of players for this tactic. Ideally you want elite pace/acceleration for DCR/L and AMR/L, defensively this is a key. Fast striker also a must. Endrick and Jackson are great signings for any level. Tried this tactic for the playing style but kept it for the results. Easily my favorite tactic this year and actually in most years. I suspect Knap is actually Pep
  5. @knap I'm using it with any team now This is with Sundowns in South Africa (top team with a top striker for this standard) as I wanted to test a file with African Super League Very disappointed with that single draw Dominated every national and continental competition Get a fast striker!
  6. Agreed. Of course most people are hyped and eager to play a new game at the start of the season especially at the end summer transfers window. Of course early september would be great though international break in october would also be nice. Even one month earlier (early october instead of early november) would already make a lot of difference imho.
  7. The older one (balanced) ARGUS PEP 3241 P102 I didn't change anything except a couple of minor defensive set pieces changes that I've posted previously Squad building and team/tactic cohesion are very important esp for defence. As always I strongly recommend fast players for DCR/L and AMR/L positions, they're all key for defence. Fast striker also a must Btw updating patch mid-season can often lead to bad results even without ME changes (probably due to reset of morale or team cohesion) so there's also that!
  8. Unlike real life Pep I prefer right on right and left on left as wingers are main source of attacking width though I've had success with a right footed AML + left footed SS/AMCL moving into channels
  9. Excellent season so far! It's a very effective tactic with the right players plus it plays some great looking football. A fast striker who's also good in the air will score tons of goals thanks to variety of chances created (through balls, crosses, counter attacks). Testing this in Greece with AEK (predicted 2nd, good squad for this standard) and this guy Levi Garcia is unstoppable as a striker
  10. @Glassy heavy losses early in the season probably also due to many new signings and poor team cohesion. First season in EPL you'll probably struggle to keep clean sheets though your scoring form is already impressive. Long term I'd think moving Arda to AMCL to form an excellent pair with Baturina as he lacks ideal pace at AML. Lucca also not the fastest striker though he bangs them in at any level - I recommend using him as main target for corner kicks for a nice boost
  11. Should get better as you improve quality of your team and reputation. EPL as a newly promoted side is tough esp against top clubs. As a newly promoted side in Brazil I managed to stay under 1 goal conceded per game though I guess facing Gabigol and Pedro is not the same as facing Haaland and Salah. As previously suggested pace and acceleration are very important for DCR/L and AMR/L postitions as those players cover a lot of ground on the flanks, closing down opponents and tracking back. DCR/L should also be competent on the ball as they dribble a lot and build from back so limited defenders might often lose possession and cause counter attacks. I'm not familiar with Blackburn squad though I'd suggest to add quick ball-playing defenders and pacy wingers asap
  12. This tactic won me championships at any level in 5-6 different countries. I tried it for the playing style but kept it for the results . Easily my favorite tactic this year
  13. I'd train him to learn 'Shoots with Power' and 'Tries first time shots' traits. He already hits free kicks with power so it seems appropriate . I think those traits should work well with the type of chances you're creating for him.
  14. I do struggle to keep clean sheets at times though number of goals conceded in a season is never particularly worrying for me (usually slightly below 1 per game). As previously said more conservative Team Instructions to close out games can help. But mostly I suggest elite Pace/Acceleration for DCR/L, AMR/L and STC
  15. Testing the 3241 Argus Pep in less popular leagues. Lyn predicted 2nd in Norwegian third division Undefeated and was actually unlucky to draw a couple of games. Good squad for the division with a few signings mostly on amateur contracts. Reminder: get a fast striker. Would have scored more (started the season as a back-up for fellow speedster Haugstad who was then moved at AMR when the board sold star winger Lindquist) Absolutely love this tactic
  16. @knap changed these defensive set pieces as they had worked well for me with other tactics (credit to the Assembler/Delicious story). For some reason I seem to concede most of the goals from indirect free kicks and attacking throw ins
  17. Only changed defensive set pieces as I was conceding above expected in Serie B otherwise it's default tactic No OI Side CB's cover a lot of ground both on and off the ball so it's important for them to have very good pace/acceleration plus stamina and work rate. They also run with the ball a lot and build from the back so they need decent dribbling, passing and vision otherwise they'll regularly lose possession and expose the team to counter. Think Gvardiol or Bastoni. Wingers are also important for defence as they track back and help covering the flanks. I tend to use wingers or classic brazilian attacking wingbacks with elite pace, dribbling and flair though decent stamina and work rate are a plus. I also struggle to keep clean sheets and often concede a goal at the end of the game as players get tired though usually we're already up two or three goals. In these situations I'd use more defensive TI's to close out games (lower tempo, waste time, hold shape, regroup, slow pace down). Offensively this tactic has been consistently amazing for me with the right players (fast wingers, creative playmakers at AMC's and fast striker)
  18. 3241 Argus Pep with newly promoted Altos in Brazilian first division (predicted 16th) after back to back promotions from third division Surprisingly won Serie A with comfortable margin despite an average squad. Led the league in scoring with 117 goals and conceded 37 which is much less than I expected at this level. Regen striker Manhebo scored 30 in just 25 starts despite starting the year at left winger as he replaced first choice striker Lucao. Should become even more clinical as he develops and fulfills his potential Another impressively overachieving season combining superb results and great attacking play. SS Fessin was MVP of the league and striker Manhebo was top scorer. Lucao scored 60 goals mostly in the weak Piauiense regional league but couldn't keep his form in serie A as he simply lacked the pace, luckily Manhebo was ready to step up. Goals from corner always a bonus for big CB's especially against weak teams in weak leagues like Piauiense. PS 3241 KP is just a shortened name (k=knap, p=pep) beacause knap's tactics names are always so long on the screen . It's the 3241 Argus Pep
  19. Yeah I'd also change the Mez to CM (a) and AP to IF (s). AF at STC should still be a consistent presence in the box despite moving into channels.
  20. Seems a pretty solid formation, not sure if your striker is just missing chances or he doesn't get many chances to score? Generally I don't like Poacher for a lone striker in a 433 (or in any one-top formation without AMC) as he risks to become too static and isolated, maybe try a more dynamic role like CF/DLF or even AF. Also would change something on the right flank to add more width and variety, like a classic winger instead of IW.
  21. Seems to be more about possession and control (Much shorter passing and work ball into box) plus Positive mentality instead of Balanced so might be slightly more offensive. I don't have the players for that right now but maybe you do!
  22. 3241 Argus Pep in brazilian second division with newly promoted Altos (predicted 12th at start of the season) Dominated the league, won Copa Verde and also finished runner-up in brazilian cup (lost against top club Flamengo). Surprised that my average players were able handle this formation at higher level, at times it was a struggle to keep clean sheets (conceded a few from free kicks and attacking throw-ins) though using defensive TI (low tempo, waste time, hold shape, regroup) helped closing out tough games esp away. Attacking was once again amazing and fun to watch, with striker Paulo Vyctor outplaying and outscoring any competition despite starting the season as a back-up. His 63 goals in 51 apps include 37 in just 22 league starts and 18 in 17 cup games. He might have been downgraded by SI but he didn't care! Great to see AMC's and striker performing so well, as already said the attacking football produced by this tactic is really fun to watch. As usual high corner goals from CB's were mostly scored in the weak Piaui regional championship. Better GK and defenders will probably concede less goals though I expected much worse. Curious to try this with an elite team!
  23. 3241 Argus Pep doing fine in brazilian third division with Altos (predicted 14th) Bossed serie C and won Copa Nordeste, very good results despite limited resources and lack of quality players. Sadly Paulo Vyctor has been downgraded in latest update but still managed to bang them in when he joined mid-season. Central defender Tim scored a lot from corners though his stats are inflated by weak Piaui state championship. Maybe other tactics have tested better though I recommend to try this one as it's really fun to watch and should still be very effective with the right players.
  24. Yeah they contribute a lot in both phases and the AMC's are also great at feeding through balls to the striker. The only positions that seem to perform slightly below average are the DM's though it's most likely a ME thing. Was thinking of trying the left sided DM on defend duty and see if it makes a positive difference.
  25. Early testings but really enjoying the playing style of 3241 Argus Pep. Already a couple of good cup results against higher division clubs (we're in brazilian third division) but I'm mostly impressed with the quality and variety of attacking play, especially the striker and the four AM's behind him. Really fun to watch and quite effective so far.
