  1. @monsalai depends a lot on the level you're playing and your budget High pace/acceleration are extremely important for DCR/L, AMR/L and STC (and recommended for any position) these players are key for this tactic. What club are you managing?
  2. I had a couple of old saves still in the middle of the season so decided to finish them before FM 24 comes out. The result was one of the most impressive striker performances of my long FM career. Of course always using the 3241 PEP. AEK Athens in Greece Super League (predicted 3rd): Good squad for this standard with a superstar striker (more on this later) and good defenders/midfielders, added a couple of cheap fast wingers and the team soon became unstoppable. Lack of continental football meant I didn't have to rotate much and could regularly play my first 11 en route to a relatively easy domestic double In a typical pattern of this tactic AMC's and STC were the stars of the team, creating and finishing most of the 156 goals scored in the league. Defence looked surprisingly solid despite some relatively slow CB's (new signing Papetti was the exception) only allowing a league best 29 goals. Trini striker Levi Garcia scored 75 goals in 35 apps including an absurd 66 in 30 league matches (missed a few games with minor injuries). Garcia fits the ideal archetype of STC for this tactic as a fast striker with decent size and good aerial skills; goals from penalties (7/7) and corner kicks (main target) added to an already impressive tally. Easily my favorite tactic this year, hopefully Knap can come up with an equally entertaining tactic for FM 24
  3. @knap I'm already rooting for an ultra-offensive minded libero and using No.10 types for the role
  4. I see, maybe it was more difficult in the past haha Ideally I'd use default A-League plus a custom New Zealand file so I could also control Phoenix Reserves in NZ league - haven't found one this year, there are a few decent NZ files though all seem to have some issues especially with implementation of Phoenix Reserves/Lower Hutt - but the biggest issue here is FM 24 demo coming in less than three weeks
  5. Cool! I don't know how you did it I mean I'm useless with the editor but this always seemed particularly hard to achieve even for more skilled people here as Phoenix are hardcoded to be ineligible for both AFC and OFC competitions. Thanks a lot for this
  6. I've only found this today, Wellington Phoenix in O-League has been my dream save for 10 years haha. Your work this year has been immense thanks a lot for so many great files
  7. @knap if I undestood the feature blog correctly it should also be possible to form a 3241 shape from a back four using the legendary John Stones role as a Libero (At) together with a traditonal CB and two inverted fullbacks (aka Walker FB role). Many new options in theory we'll see how they work in practice though . The 3241 PEP was the most Pep tactic in FM 23
  8. Easily my favorite feature blog so far. New positional play could be a huge addition.
  9. If we can have the option to delegate all the interactions with intemediaries and agents to DoF then I'm on board, especially as this seems the kind of stuff that DoF's - not managers - would deal with IRL.
  10. I think FM24 will be the new FM12, basically the 'final version' of this cycle. I still consider FM12 one of the best (if not the best) game of the series overall so I expect FM24 to offer a similar experience.
  11. I would never pay for the editor plus I think it shows somewhere on the screen if you're using the editor? Anyway I'm not the creator of the tactic so it's not like I'm trying to cheat to take credit for something Truth is playing in lower leagues with a team with decent budget like Wrexham is relatively easy esp in first years. I'm terrible at making my own tactics but I have a bit of experience with squad building and players management so it's not hard for me to build a squad with the quality and depth to dominate at this level with a club like Wrexham (players on loan also help a lot). My second XI would still win the league (maybe not with 45 wins!) so injuries, suspensions and fitness level don't have much impact on my team while they have major impact on other teams at this level. For context you can see that fellow newly promoted side Notts Co finished 3rd despite losing their best player from previous year (Langstaff, of course). Langstaff has the right attributes in all the right places (including determination, personality and hidden attributes) to be an amazing striker for this level. If you want an example of a perfect striker for this tactic at elite level just think Langstaff with 16-17 where he has 13-14-15
  12. Completed second season with Wrexham - newly promoted in League Two predicted 1st. Always 3241 Argus Pep original version Very close to get 46 wins before a single draw in matchday 44, other highlights included winning EFL trophy and decent cup runs only ended by PL sides. Deep squad and rotation were keys for a super successful season AMC Ollie Palmer still doing the job but new striker Macauley Langstaff stole the show breaking every scoring record for league and club 70 goals in 48 apps including 59 in 37 in League Two with a massive overperformance on his XG. I usually prefer faster strikers but 14/15 pace/acc seemed to be more than enough for lower leagues
  13. Second season with newly promoted Wrexham in League two. Still predicted 1st which seems fair... Macauley Langstaff is an elite striker for lower leagues! Of course still using the original 3241 Argus Pep
  14. @Filip974 great results! I tend to play my slowest playmaker at AMCR (MO) and still get good results and good stats from him but yeah pace and acceleration are key attributes for every position and every tactic in every edition of FM. Though if you want to play a great No.10 or a creative striker without elite quickness (e.g. Eriksen, Kane) these types of players can still do the job at AMCR. Personally I love to re-train big strikers with good technical attributes for this role, Zlatan at AMCR ftw
  15. This has been a feature in several leagues for years now but for some reason it's not available in Italy. The fact that only Juventus currently has chosen to have a B team in Italy doesn't mean the option shouldn't be available for other teams (Sassuolo and Fiorentina are considering this IRL). Clearly B teams are allowed in Italy as per Miles Jacobson old 'feature roulette' tweet.
  16. Having a bit of fun with 3241 Pep Argus (still first version) with Wrexham in VNL (predicted 1st, easy I know) Bossed the league despite a good effort from Notts Co and easily won FA trophy. Lost 0-6 to Arsenal in FA Cup because well great players can destroy great tactics (and also because players on loan couldn't play in the cups ) Very good team for this standard plus I managed to add some pacy players on loan at key positions and yes that's Ollie Palmer at AMC Couldn't play him at STC due to lack of pace so re-trained him as AMC to use his excellent mental attributes and good skills/creativity for this level. Size and aerial ability also made him a perfect target for corner kicks. Ollie Palmer, AMC, 38 goals and 16 assists, VNL Player of the Year
  17. Haven't tried that one. I'm intrigued by the WCB version though I haven't tried that either
  18. Using 3241 Argus Pep in a classic MLS save with expansion team St. Louis City - they enter the league in 2023 which means I had a full year with no matches only dedicated to trades, tansfers and squad building Bossed the league with the lowest team payroll: 6M euros per year! My regular MLS squad (no designated players or superstars) 'Star' striker Thomas Amang signed from US minor leagues: Great physical attributes and not much else... Still managed one goal per game despite underperforming his XG, and somehow keeping his form with Cameroon
  19. Maybe try another tactic, there are a lot in this thread I think with the right players and an adequate pre-season (decent team cohesion and tactic familiarity, good morale and good form after easy friendlies, new signings having some time to gel) this tactic can be very effective at any level. There might be more effective shapes and formations like 424 or wide diamond though personally I enjoy the playing style of this while also getting good results. Losing games away can and will happen
  20. @vitoco77 for DM's I tend to favor passing, vision, positioning, work rate and stamina. Though always remember that pace and acceleration are very important for every position and every tactic in FM . Tchouameni and Camavinga are good examples of ideal DM's for a top club.
