that doesnt get you an 8+ rating 7.5 maybe sure, but when you draw 0-0 because the totally average AI goalie of a midtable unremarkable dutch club chose that particular day to be Courtois and Neuer fused into one, yeah im gonna be skeptical.

I dont believe in scripting per se, but I am kinda scpetical when for example an AI keeper who has averaged 6.8 throughout the season, suddenly gets an 8.5 against your team and stops 5 clearcut chanches... That just reads like the game going "im going to stop you now". If a runner has a day where he is 20% faster than his average, we're not gonna say "oh he is in good shape", no we're gonna rightly think he took something

What about a dlp on support duty with a higher pressing system/ high block in a 433? my idea is to use him as an outlet for defenders, while also being a creative force for the two runners in front of him (BBM + mez)

Because Milan beat man utd, they had to move to the front, and because tottenham had a better GD of 1 goal (f***ing haaland), i dropped below them. i got 2/3rd of the points possible, which would be an easy qualification in the old group system... Imagine beating PSG, Juventus and Salzburg and its still not enough. This new system is awfull.....Damn UEFA ruining football (yes i know i have the knockout playoff, but i tend to do terrible in two legged ties)

This has probably a very obvious answer that I'm missing, but in the season 2024-25, i participated in the new CL format. I missed the top 8, and i Dont know why. It probably got lost in translation I have a better goal difference than Milan, and more goals for. Yet they end above me and Tottenham. There is no results of teams between us, because my team, Milan and tottenham never played against eachother:

I find the game doesnt convey this information clearly, and as such it feels like a cointoss. Take for example this player. he just failed to learn one-two's. yet i'd argue his technique, vision, flair and first touch are quite good for the level we are at. love the livestreams btw

I dont look atthe arrows. Rather check out the development tab if there is an upward trend, and if the coach report says they have developped

What determines whether a player manages to learn a trait or fails at it? Is it just ability? distribution of attributes? quality of trainers? Of the around 8 times i tried to learn a trait, if failed 6 times

To be fair, its the first thing the game will tell you to do when you have poor shooting

With the new recruitment focus, i want to make use of the feature like I did with scouting assignments. Hire a scout with good knowledge of the area you want (like brazil, eastern europe, colombia, scandinavia...). put the age to a max of 19, and potential to at least very good or exceptional depending on your level. And I felt like creating this network of knwoledge brought very good results and was very effective in snatching up talent before they got too pricey or well known. ive tried the same with the recruitment focus, but ivehad dissapointing results, and far less players that come up. There is always the "manually go through U18 and U20 teams", which I find too timeconsuming (andits the reason I have scouts). So my question is, how do people use the recruitment focus to find wonderkids/young talent? On a related note. I have a scout that is scouting next opposition, but i cant delete his assignment. (As i want to send him elsewhere). How do you do it? Even if I assign another scout to analyse next opposition, the original scout still has the assignment

I know you can in Spain, where you can for example Bilbao Athletic, a B team of Athletic Bilbao. I only watched a vid of it a while ago of a guy doing a journeyman and ending up at one, but you indeed dont have much say in anything, which is why he left after one season

I'm 99% certain you will turn professional when you enter League 2. The difference between North/south and National isnt that big, so just do the same: keep it simple, loans, trials, prioritise physical traits

I had a similar issue in FM21. While all clubs in the first two divisions in belgium are professional, as Zulte waregem I could only hire part time scouts. I somehow fixed it by ticking "semi professional" in the editor and deselecting it. Cant garantuee it will work though
